A very well-kept state park. Restrooms were spotless and looked realtively new. Campsites 4-30 are on the lake. Was a quiet spot that is off the beaten path.

Beautiful state park in the middle of Georgia. We spent 2 quiet nights, just relaxing and enjoying the wildlife. The whole park is in great shape and very clean. The bathrooms were spotless and updated. Everyone we encounter was nice and helpful. This park doesn't afford much to do. There is a playground and small fishing dock. They have about 5 miles of walking trails. Most of the trails are well marked with the exception of the white trail. The trails don't appear to get much use. I would definitely recommend this park for a peaceful, relaxing place to stay. It is about 8-10 miles from any store so pack in what you need.

Quite place with clear trails that are well marked. Campground sites offered some great views and amenities.

Gorgeous trails. Nice wall around the lake or through the woods. Haven't seen any gators myself, yet... This is one of my favourite quick hikes, I'll go around a couple of times because it's so peaceful and goes very quickly if you keep a good pace.
If you're not afraid of the possibility of gators, kids love it and it's not too hard for most age groups.

we camped at an off time, it was during the week versus the weekend + it was hot as blue blazes. so there were plenty of spots for us to camp at. The lake was gorgeous. Our bath house were great. the people we experienced were very friendly.
With it so hot, we only hiked the shorter trails. They were pleasant and we'll kept.
Since this is only 1.5 hours from home, we look forward to coming back.
Please plan accordingly - you are 30 minutes from the nearest anything.
