Very poor service department. Actually, my experience might be rated “no service at all”. I went with my daughter-in-law to find out about her transmission issue. I was asked if we had an appointment. We said “no” and was told that we had to have an appointment. We were then told that next appointment would be in mid-December. We were there at end of October! We were also told that even if we got an appointment, the repair, if needed, could take weeks later.I then stated that we would just go to a local repair place. The service rep gave us a card with a written down address and phone of his “friend”. The place that he recommended was Tri-Star Automotive in Tyrone, Ga. We drove approximately 25 minutes to Tri-Star. They asked us to leave the vehicle and they would call the next day. Within a few hours they called back and said it was a transmission heat sensor and would cost about $1,250 to repair.I told my daughter to cancel and we would find another repair shop. Long story short, we found an excellent one in Newnan. Total cost of repair was $355.When we picked up the Hyundai from Tri-Star, they charged us $150 to just look at it. What a ripoff!I have contacted Southtowne Hyundai several times to complain. NOBODY will talk to me, nor return calls, including the GM! I then contacted Southtowne Office across the street and asked for that GM. The receptionist tried to discourage me and wanted me to start over at Hyundai. I told her “no” and she gave me that GM’s voicemail. I explained everything and asked for a response. He never called. That was during the second week of November.Please do NOT try to placate me or your public by giving a canned response. My family has four Hyundai vehicles that I will encourage them to ultimately get rid of and never buy a Hyundai again.

After looking at other brands of car, I stopped by Southtowne to look at the Palisades. Aaron Austin greeted me and showed me different ones on lot and I decided that they had exactly what I wanted. There was no pressure but I felt real concern from him in answering my questions, going on test drive and through the deal. They even washed the car and provided someone to drive my car back to my home 30 miles away so that I could bring my new car home and not have to arrange getting someone to bring me back. He made himself available at a later date of my choosing to meet with me at dealership and go over any questions I had after having the car a few days. I could not have asked for better treatment than I experienced with this purchase and I’ve bought several new cars in my lifetime. I would highly recommend Southtowne based on my experience and Aaron was exceptional to work with.

This place is truly in a league of its own. My latest incident was on a Wednesday -- check engine light came on and engine was vibrating anytime power was applied. A 2022 Tucson still under warranty. I arrived and they told me that it will be 4-5 days to complete diagnostics. I asked about a loaner. They said I'm not eligible for a loaner until they determine that it will be covered under warranty which will take 4-5 days. I was told I could possibly get reimbursed for a rental later on. The vehicle wasn't ready until Monday and now I have to contact corporate to try to get reimbursed. I had my phone recording the entire time because previous experience with this dealership has told me that I need to have proof of everything.I also complained to them about how much in advance you have to schedule one of your "complimentary" oil changes for...about 45 days. I was told it's 45 days because I choose to wait for my car and that if I dropped it off that I would get it back in 4-5 days... a week at most. What am I supposed to do? Rent a car for 4-5 days to get an oil change or am I just going to go get my own oil change from a place that takes...I don't know somewhere less than 4-5 days to do one?I also don't trust any of them from previous experience. My Ring car cam was on. The tech saw it, turned it down and then physically unplugged it. Of course that is all on video as well. This will likely be the first and last Hyundai I ever buy. It is 100% certain this will be the last car I ever purchase from Southtowne.

We came in to look at and test drive a used suv as this was the first place we came to shop for a car. They ran a hard credit inquiry before they even let us look at or test drive any car and then they pulled up the car they wanted to sell us instead of what we came to look at. The next day we found a much better price for the same vehicle at another dealership. After test driving that car at the other dealership we applied for it and they informed us that our credit had dropped 60 points overnight making the interest rate skyrocket. We were effectively locked into buying at Southtowne Newnan.

Poor customer svc. Went in for oil change, Front end alignment (car pulling slightly to the rt.) and rotation. These ppl clearly did not use gloves... all the dirt for the tire change was on my steering wheel, gear shift and door handle. I told the svc lady about it, Her exact words "Oh you didn't get the detail package" She then tried to wipe it off with her hand. I told the idiot to stop. WTH!!! Also the front end clearly was not done...only the rotation, the slight pull I had to the right is now the exact pull I have to the left. Definitely will not return or purchase from them again. Back to Stone Crest Hyundai where they have Great customer svc.

Very disappointed with the service department. Couldnt get in to get my first oil change when it was due. Had to pay for one on my own even though I am covered by Hyundai fir e years.Then today I had an appointment for an oil change and recall repair. I was told it would take at least 3 hours. I asked for a phone call when completed. Got a text at 4:40 and did not see it until 5:30. Have to go up tomorrow to pick it up. Would have like a courtesy call at the very least.Very unhappy with service. Not sure I would recommend buying a car there if you plan on service there. Too bad, sales staff was awesome.

Smooth car buying process from start to finish. Diane Spurling always takes excellent care of me and my family. This is our 10th vehicle purchase from Southtowne & we always go to Diane. She’s the best salesperson there. She is very thorough, extremely honest, always listens to the customer’s wants and needs, won’t let you leave the lot until she has made sure you are completely satisfied with your purchase, and she always takes care of her customers even after the sale is completed. Purchased a car recently, completely virtual. The entire sale was coordinated through email, texts and phone calls. I live 550 miles away from the dealership and didn't want to travel to see and buy the car, so I had to put a lot of trust in the salesman. Lavelle Davison was amazing handling the sale, sending me numerous pictures and videos and verifying the car's condition. He even went out of his way to meet the car transport driver who picked up my car and loaded onto a truck to bring the car to my house. My car arrived in the exact condition Lavelle described! Everything was streamlined and painless. Lavelle and Southtowne Hyundai are highly recommended!

It's not often that buying a car is an enjoyable experience! Michael Jackson, a true sales professional, and Travis in the office, were both pleasant and fun to work with. Michael is the best car salesman I've ever worked with and the overall experience at Southtowne Hyundai of Newnan was simply great. No pressure, all questions addressed and finalizing a deal for both parties was quick and easy. I highly recommend Michael and Southtowne Hyundai.
