Went to deposit money a quarter got stuck and the teller who did not even do my transaction came to the window speaking very nasty and hostile. I told her not to ever speak to any customer like that ! Just horrible customer service

I was concerned with two issues:
1. When I was trying to set up online banking I had a pop up window telling me that I am leaving Ameris Bank website and that Ameris bank is not responsible for the contents therein. My concern was how come Ameris Bank is not responsible for my setting up online banking with them on their very own website? This was a huge concern for me and I raised that with one of the bankers ar Dunwoody GA location and he simply tried to make it sound normal.
2. When he (the banker at Dunwoody GA location) was helping me with setting up 4 digit PIN for my checking account he asked me to write the PIN on a sticky note and give it to him so he can set that up in the system. I always thought that the debit card PINs are like personal passwords and even bankers were not supposed to know that. This made me uncomfortable.

"Available Balance" doesn't mean it's actually available. If you have any issues, they tell you to go to the branch you originally opened your account --12 years ago. So apparently they operate like a bunch of little banks, not one single bank. And if you deposit a check, expect a 2 week hold, even though it's a business check from the same account you always get business checks from, and have been for the past 12 years. I used to highly recommend Ameris, but can't in good conscience send anyone there now.
