* My overall experience was good, from the sales person to the installation. There were some delays in getting the windows but it’s ok. I understand due to Covid, delays were inevitable.

I absolutely love the service from the sale presentation through to the finish the project. The greatest person the customer sees is the installer. Victor is absolutely exceptional, I'm sure you wish you could clone him. He is professional in all ways; his area is clean at all times and took care of my home as if it were his. Victor was able to explain a way a problem that was created by the sales person. The hanging barn door present a set of unique problems that the sales person should review with the customer. Victor handled it so professional in trying to teach me. I also wanted the wall to go to the ceiling and if I hadn't called in and added the trim the job would not be completed with a finished look. The sales people need to explain more to the customer as I thought I could have that trim about shoulder height as in he picture but it was really needed to fill the gap between the gap and the ceiling. Those are just a couple of issues created by the sales force, but; victor handled everything in an exceptional professional manner.

Our furnace caught on fire, very terrifying. Sears made it so easy had an adjuster out me the next week we had a new furnace. The guys who came to install the furnace were very nice punctual and polite. Would definitely recommend to everyone

Bought my A/C unit thru Sears home services. Installation went well and unit worked well. I just had my first service need and things aren't going well. Had to call Sears service or void my 10 year parts warranty. Called on September 11, service was scheduled 9/13. Service rep called, his truck broke down. Was told service was rescheduled for 9/23. No A/C for another 10 days. No effort to expedite the service even though their truck broke down. Called and finally got service moved up to 9/21. I worked in service industry all my life and this is unacceptable. There was no effort to solve their problem. I was told that would be the next time they come to my area.

This was the worst home improvement experience. If I could give "no stars", I would. So, I'll give Sears HVAC the lowest rating that I can give, 1 star. Workers arrived on time and worked for 1 hour and then left. They returned almost 4 hours later to resume the job of installing new air conditioning system. They finally left 9 hours later. Contractor/owner said the installation job was all complete and air conditioning was working fine. Nope, not true. Three days later, new air conditioning unit not working. Workers returned on 4th day and finally completed the job. Water had filled up in a part of the unit in the attic and this caused the unit to stop working. After my complaints to Sears, one of their managers arrived at my home to check out the (1) finished HVAC work, (2) damage that was done to my hardwood floor underneath the attic stairs, (3) damage to several walls surrounding the attic stairs, and (4) damage to laundry room door. Manager said he would send someone out to repair my floor--not done yet; contractor/owner said he would have someone call to schedule the painting/repairing of the walls--not done yet. Also, Sears project coordinator said he would honor estimates that I received from other contractors by lowering my costs for the HVAC unit by $500 less than the estimates that I received. Sent him two estimates, one higher and one lower than the original price of Sears HVAC unit. Project coordinator did not honor the lower estimate; in fact, totally ignored estimates I sent to him. Also, I did not receive the HVAC discount which was advertised on Sears Home Improvement site. Project coordinator said that did not apply to the unit that I purchased and that it applied to a much larger unit. Sorry but that was not in small print. Project coordinator is trying to renege on the method of payment that we both agreed upon. I will NEVER, NEVER use Sears Home Improvement for ANYTHING because trust, honesty, and communication are lacking throughout. I wonder whatever happened to the SEARS that had a great reputation and always stood behind its work. Oh, they were bought out by a third-rate company. BE CAREFUL EVERYONE, BE VERY CAREFUL when using SEARS Heating and Air Conditioning services. Maybe you should even record the conversation(s) if you decide to purchase anything from SEARS HOME IMPROVEMENT so they will not renege on anything they tell you or sell you. DISAPPOINTED CUSTOMER!!

Zero stars. We bought a complete HVAC system one month back which never worked even one day.The very first day, the compressor unit wouldn't fit. So they went back to the store and brought another one and continued with the installation of blower and furnace in the attic. That was Friday and they couldn't get it work. They came back only on Monday and I lived in 100 degrees heat that entire weekend. On Monday they tried something it started working. They left.End of the day when I came back to the bedroom, it would not work. I call them on Wednesday. They came and realized that the duct from the blower was freezing because even though compressor was running and pushing freon the blower was not getting turned on and hence it was freezing imsnow on the duct.He replaced my thermostat. But end of the day again the same problem. Then they replaced the thermostat and set the fan in ON mode and not auto. Then it was fine. But since the fan is ON it continuously runs ON always. Then I complained this. Thhey come next day and set it back to auto. End of the day it doesn't run again.Third week somebody else came who identified that the main board was missing a chip plug. Next day somebody came and installed that and set the fan mode back to auto. The same problem continues. Atleast this time they told me that if the blower doesn’t turn on flip the switch after 10 seconds gap.But that was silly every time target temperature is hit the blower turns off and never turns back on even though it is heating up. Then I need to go up and flip the switch which turns it on. But I can’t keep doing it.Since last week before holidays, I called Wednesday, Thursday and Friday and could only leave voice messages for the installation manager and then the operations manager. Monday was a holiday. I waited Tuesday that either of them will cal back. Nobody called me back.Wednesday, Thursday and today Friday I call and there is no operator/receptionist to take my call and forward it to the managers. All three days I left detailed frustrating voice messages and nobody returns the calls.Overall it has been a worst experience with Sears. I should have gone with HD instead.
