“Got married here 2 weeks ago! Staff was really kind working with us to get everything planned and reserved. Rooms are exceptionally well kept, each one is furnished based on a different decade from Jimmy Carter's life. Lots of history in the building! Great common area as well with plenty of snacks and coffee upon arrival as well as breakfast options.

The main shop downstairs is great too, more than you would expect for a smaller town such as Plains.

Rooms: Each room is a different decade. From the 20's through the 80's, with a presidential suite that President Carter actually held meetings in. Some rooms have claw soaking tubs (which I adored). Fully furnished from each decade as well. Rooms are massive too, bigger than some NYC apartments.

Nearby activities: The antique mall it sits on is part of a little strip mall type section. You have other historic stores with a lot of political paraphernalia, as well as a small country store with lots of local goodies, including the famous peanut butter ice cream (yes, it really is THAT good). Driving a little ways you also have the boy hood farm and Rosalyn Carter butterfly gardens.

Walkability: Most everything is walking distance in Plains. The main stores are in one strip. Across the road is the pharmacy and Dollar General, and post office if memory serves.”
