My building was exactly how I wanted it to be. It was made to the exact measurements I requested and delivered perfectly and timely. Couldn’t recommend Hazel and her team any more!

I was in search of a building quickly, as I was having several projects completed all at the same time…timing was everything. I had spoken to about 10-15 other competitors and this was by far the highest priced out of them all. Due to having so many different quotes and living outside of what I knew was all the delivery areas, I specifically gave my address and asked for “out the door” pricing which would include all delivery and set up charges. The building came next day, the trucking company was fantastic, we needed more clearance than stated but that was okay as I have a very handy husband to take down trees on a dime. The barn was as expected, I won’t be able to tell if it was worth the extra expense for a few years. My biggest issue with this transaction was that “out the door” pricing did not include the extra delivery fees to the trucking company, which is specifically what I requested. I did not want any surprises whats so ever, especially paying cash for a product I had never seen in person. I did not mind paying the trucking company, as they were amazing. However, transparency, honesty and a first impression goes A LONG way with me. I felt jaded, when I had to pay extra on top of the THOUSANDS I had already paid. Communication is key. Don’t let people find out in the “fine print” extra fees, after 6 different phone calls back and forth these extra fees could have been clear and understood, leaving no room for upset or feeling like business was shady. I had plenty of business ready to send your way all the way from Pine Mountain, GA. I will be sending them to other Derkens dealers I met along the way.

Hazel is very kind and can help you quickly determine your needs. Her prices are very reasonable and they have financing for rent to own. Her buildings are very nice and she oversees your custom orders from shell to finished product. She's the bomb!

I have 4 buildings now, the oldest being over 3 years on my land. It has weathered well and is still in good condition. Hazel is always willing to answer any questions and has plenty of experience in the rental and purchase side of the shed business. I would highly recommend Backyard Essentials to any one seeking a building or more. Thanks....

My husband and I purchased our building while at the fair! Hazel was extremely nice and helped us just the way we wanted. She sold us exactly what we wanted! She said once the fair was over it would be delivered and guess what?? Today, 1 day after the fair ended, we have our building!! We are both so in love!! I 100% recommend them!! Everyone are sooo nice!!! Thank y’all so much

Wasn’t impressed at all with the sheds. -They look like they are made of particle board-They push a high prices rent to own program for bad credit folks I assume.-They have homemade cheap doors that don’t seal.Frankly, I went to Home Depot and built my own for a lot less.

A good salesperson knows the importance of details. Sometimes those details are outside of our wheelhouse. I had some pretty detailed ideas while designing our custom double lofted 14x32 building. Hazel did a great job in the design process and when she didn't exactly know something, she leaned on her senior comrades to bring the necessary clarity and bring the project to fruition. Thats the sign of a true leader!!! Over the next few months my building will turn into a full service recording studio......I'll be sure to post pics as the progress continues!!! Thank you Hazel@Backyard Essentials and the crews at Derksons for building a wonderful structure.
