We reserved a room before we read the reviews.Upon reading the reviews, we decided to call the number and cancel. The operator was very good about assuring us that we could cancel and that the points where would be returned to our account. So I say kudos to you.

-dirty rooms-rude staff-BEDBUGSI was on a road trip with my husband and my handicapped grandma. We were desperate to stop but needed a hotel that had a handicapped room adjoined with a queen room. I had called maybe 7 other hotels before this and none of them could accommodate (which I know is a very specific ask), until this hotel. We pull in, exhausted, and when u walk in the whole place smells like mildew, but like I said we were so tired and just wanted a place to sleep for 7 hours before we got up in the morning and kept driving. We get to the rooms, ignoring how disgusting the hallways were, and I get my grandma settled in before finally going into my own room. Walking around I step in a huge puddle surrounding the air conditioner, so I called the front desk. The lady who answered was short and said she would call me back when she was done helping the guests checking in. Fine. She calls me back at least a half hour later and is pretty much saying we can move rooms or deal with it— which doesn’t work because I need the joined room in case my grandma fell in the middle of the night so I could hear her, and she needed the handicap room so she could use the bathroom. So I just asked if we could possibly have a discount on the room as we drove a good half hour out of our way on the assumption that they had these rooms available and habitable(!). She then said that it was odd I waited this long to call and was insinuating I was lying about it. We went back and forth about it for a second before she said fine and then hung up on me. This was around midnight. That gave me a weird feeling because the place smelled like mold, it couldn’t have been the first time this AC unit had leaked— so I felt like if they were lying about that, what else would they lie about? I decided to check the bed for bedbugs, and lo and behold, the mattress was in a bedbug cover, the sheets had blood stains on them, and there was bedbug poop in all the little crevices of the mattress. At this point, I was so irritated and tired that I went into my grandmas room to check her mattress, and it seemed ok, so we moved all of our stuff into her room and left the other room completely vacant. We should have just packed up and left at that point, but we were so tired and the chance we would find another hotel that could accommodate us at that point in the night after getting my grandma back into the car, which is a whole ordeal on its own, seemed worth the risk. I am now COVERED in bedbug bites. Down my arms, down my legs, all over my back. DO NOT STAY HERE. You’re better off driving into the next town. The next morning we woke up and saw the greasy handprints all over the headboard from the people who stayed before us.Safety: This place is a health hazard.

My husband and I traveled to Perry for the first time to attend the Southeastern Model Show. We chose the Hampton as Hilton honors members and used rewards points. We were pleased with the location being so close to the venue. However, I am very disappointed with the condition of the room. The bathroom wallpaper is peeling, the toilet barely flushes, and the bed and pillows did not offer a good night sleep. The door to our room was difficult to open, We swiped key cards and got the green light, but the door wouldn't open. Had to try several times. The elevator door had seen better days. Hilton certainly needs to invest in updating this location. The breakfast was not that great. It seemed as though they did not want to refill items that were popular, such as the muffins, bread, and poppy seed cookies. The breakfast attendant was standing in the doorway, talking on her phone while we were eating. My husband spends approximately 150 to 200 nights a year in hotels for his job. He stated that this has been the worst Hilton experience he has had. Needless to say, we will be choosing another hotel next year when we visit Perry for the 2025 Model show.

I just needed a bed to sleep in to break up a long drive with my 3 kids. Let me count the ways this hotel FAILED.* Even though it didn’t seem very occupied based on cars in the lot, we were placed on the first floor at the end of a hallway next to the ice machine and an entry/exit door on the highway side of the building. It basically sounded like we were sleeping on the shoulder of the highway. The semi trucks were SO loud. I know the hotel can't control the traffic, but they can control where they place guests.* The room was freezing so I turned the heat on, however the temp would only go up, not down.* I have never slept on a more uncomfortable bed, to the point I didn’t sleep a wink. The bed felt like I was sleeping on concrete and the pillow made my head feel like I had a bowling ball attached to my neck instead of a head. I don’t know how it’s possible for a pillow to do that, but it could have been mistaken for a rock and my sleep was deprived. Didn’t sleep AT ALL.* The bed my daughters shared kept making a weird sound every time they moved…like someone knocking on metal. “Pong, pong, pong, pong.”* The Hampton Inn sign on the building exterior looked like a candy cane. I don’t think this was intentional for Christmas. I think the red light covers are just all busted and parts are still covered in red and other parts are broken. Could be mistaken, but it didn't look right.* Front desk service was fine.* Hair in shower and pube on toilet* Shower water was good pressure and temperature, but hook to hold my towel was hanging off the wall by a thread.* I lifted the phone to call the front desk to discover no dial tone. Then I lifted the whole phone to see it wasn’t hooked into anything, nor was there even a cord. I guess they leave them there for hotel nostalgia?* Generally outdated such as old remote control, horribly old beds, unfluffy bedding, etc.My husband used his Hilton Honors points for me and our kids which was a complete waste. Now I have to drive 5 more hours on zero sleep. Do better Hampton/Hilton.

This hotel is very run down. Why doesn’t Hilton update these down & out locations? The bed was obviously very old and worn out. A repair to a wall that was ‘punched’. Carpeting old & dirty. Hotel staff not very friendly. This hotel was not worth the 30K honors points. Felt like an old Super 8. So disappointed in Hilton hotels recently.

When traveling, I typically try to stay at Hampton Inn. I can usually count on consistent good value, good service, and a reasonably clean, well-maintained property. Was disappointed with my experience at the Hampton Inn in Perry. The staff was attentive--no issues there. My room was clean; that is, it had been cleaned. The room and the hotel, however, are very "worn". Carpets are old, showing their age. Furniture in the room had lots of scrapes, again reflecting a lack of investment. Holes poorly repaired; needs an overall good painting/freshening up.There was a loud party that went on most of the night in the pool area. Not sure that the individuals were even guests at the hotel; what I presumed to be their vehicles were gone early the next morning.I'll pay more attention to Google reviews in the future. This one is rated at a "2"Rooms: See aboveNoteworthy details: See above

As a Hilton Diamond member, I expect a high level of accommodations, however, this hotel is not a typical Hilton. It is a very old property that has undergone a lot of renovation, but still needs a lot of work. With that being said, the room was still comfortable, the breakfast was very good, the staff was all very pleasant. My only complaint was that the room was over priced for a vintage hotel in a small town in Georgia along Interstate 75.

my family had to change rooms three times. Our room completely smells like mold, though it was milder than the second room.(first one had a broken toilet nobody could fix.). The hallways were crumbling. The elevator was horrible, and it was absolutely not because of the recent storm. It was because of poor maintenance. We stayed a lot of Hamptons and could not believe this had the name.

Staff is great and friendly. Hotel is in SERIOUS need of a facelift. Peeling paint, doors that don't close, real messy parking lot. Seems like customers park all over the lot, regardless of parking stripes.

If I end up with Legionaries disease, it was this place. The room smelled so bad of mold and mildew coming from the a/c. They try to cover that smell with a ton of chemicals. Skip this Hampton Inn, its not what you would expect from a Hilton property.

This was a very dark hotel with little lighting. Everything felt untouched. The rooms felt like something was lingering the air, maybe mold. It was just overall a very disappointing place to stay. I would NOT stay here again, in fact not sure I will ever stay at a Hampton after this stay. Disappointing.

I don’t recommend this hotel. Funky smell at check-in, dated rooms, tv didn’t work, and worst of all they have a housekeeper or housekeepers that lie and steal. We left a very expensive cup in the room, called the hotel after we checked-out and were told that they didn’t find anything in the room. LIARS!Noteworthy details: See previous comments about housekeeping lying and stealing.
