I just needed a bed to sleep in to break up a long drive with my 3 kids. Let me count the ways this hotel FAILED.* Even though it didn’t seem very occupied based on cars in the lot, we were placed on the first floor at the end of a hallway next to the ice machine and an entry/exit door on the highway side of the building. It basically sounded like we were sleeping on the shoulder of the highway. The semi trucks were SO loud. I know the hotel can't control the traffic, but they can control where they place guests.* The room was freezing so I turned the heat on, however the temp would only go up, not down.* I have never slept on a more uncomfortable bed, to the point I didn’t sleep a wink. The bed felt like I was sleeping on concrete and the pillow made my head feel like I had a bowling ball attached to my neck instead of a head. I don’t know how it’s possible for a pillow to do that, but it could have been mistaken for a rock and my sleep was deprived. Didn’t sleep AT ALL.* The bed my daughters shared kept making a weird sound every time they moved…like someone knocking on metal. “Pong, pong, pong, pong.”* The Hampton Inn sign on the building exterior looked like a candy cane. I don’t think this was intentional for Christmas. I think the red light covers are just all busted and parts are still covered in red and other parts are broken. Could be mistaken, but it didn't look right.* Front desk service was fine.* Hair in shower and pube on toilet* Shower water was good pressure and temperature, but hook to hold my towel was hanging off the wall by a thread.* I lifted the phone to call the front desk to discover no dial tone. Then I lifted the whole phone to see it wasn’t hooked into anything, nor was there even a cord. I guess they leave them there for hotel nostalgia?* Generally outdated such as old remote control, horribly old beds, unfluffy bedding, etc.My husband used his Hilton Honors points for me and our kids which was a complete waste. Now I have to drive 5 more hours on zero sleep. Do better Hampton/Hilton.

This hotel is very run down. Why doesn’t Hilton update these down & out locations? The bed was obviously very old and worn out. A repair to a wall that was ‘punched’. Carpeting old & dirty. Hotel staff not very friendly. This hotel was not worth the 30K honors points. Felt like an old Super 8. So disappointed in Hilton hotels recently.

When traveling, I typically try to stay at Hampton Inn. I can usually count on consistent good value, good service, and a reasonably clean, well-maintained property. Was disappointed with my experience at the Hampton Inn in Perry. The staff was attentive--no issues there. My room was clean; that is, it had been cleaned. The room and the hotel, however, are very "worn". Carpets are old, showing their age. Furniture in the room had lots of scrapes, again reflecting a lack of investment. Holes poorly repaired; needs an overall good painting/freshening up.There was a loud party that went on most of the night in the pool area. Not sure that the individuals were even guests at the hotel; what I presumed to be their vehicles were gone early the next morning.I'll pay more attention to Google reviews in the future. This one is rated at a "2"Rooms: See aboveNoteworthy details: See above

As a Hilton Diamond member, I expect a high level of accommodations, however, this hotel is not a typical Hilton. It is a very old property that has undergone a lot of renovation, but still needs a lot of work. With that being said, the room was still comfortable, the breakfast was very good, the staff was all very pleasant. My only complaint was that the room was over priced for a vintage hotel in a small town in Georgia along Interstate 75.

my family had to change rooms three times. Our room completely smells like mold, though it was milder than the second room.(first one had a broken toilet nobody could fix.). The hallways were crumbling. The elevator was horrible, and it was absolutely not because of the recent storm. It was because of poor maintenance. We stayed a lot of Hamptons and could not believe this had the name.

Staff is great and friendly. Hotel is in SERIOUS need of a facelift. Peeling paint, doors that don't close, real messy parking lot. Seems like customers park all over the lot, regardless of parking stripes.

If I end up with Legionaries disease, it was this place. The room smelled so bad of mold and mildew coming from the a/c. They try to cover that smell with a ton of chemicals. Skip this Hampton Inn, its not what you would expect from a Hilton property.

This was a very dark hotel with little lighting. Everything felt untouched. The rooms felt like something was lingering the air, maybe mold. It was just overall a very disappointing place to stay. I would NOT stay here again, in fact not sure I will ever stay at a Hampton after this stay. Disappointing.

I don’t recommend this hotel. Funky smell at check-in, dated rooms, tv didn’t work, and worst of all they have a housekeeper or housekeepers that lie and steal. We left a very expensive cup in the room, called the hotel after we checked-out and were told that they didn’t find anything in the room. LIARS!Noteworthy details: See previous comments about housekeeping lying and stealing.

If you enjoy the house keeper pounding on your door in the morning to find out when you are leaving then this is your place to stayNo need to put the privacy sign on your door because they don't read it,The front desk says that show they do it thereNot sure why anyone wants to pay to feel like they want to know when your leavingBest place to stay in Perry would be the LA Quinta

While I agree with other reviews about the property needing serious updating, I also agree that it is the employee(s) who shine here. We, too, chose the hotel because of the name, but won't again. The name of the hotel chain doesn't mean what it did. However, the employee(s) are another story. Angela, at the front desk, was pleasant and professional. If the chain can't spend money on upgrades, at least give the customer service employees, a raise! Why? Because she/they provide great customer service. Angela was the shining star, the night we stayed.

This Hampton hasn’t been updated in ages. Has the feeling of a cheep motel. Serious upgrades needed. Rooms are fairly clean staff is great.

I see now that our experience last Saturday night was typical for many other customers. We should have looked at reviews or other hotels in the area. The Avid just down the street was rated much higher and was $30 cheaper. We've been pleased with Hampton over the years, but this location needs some retooling. The first room key didn't work, the second one worked, but someone's belongings were in the room, the third key for a different room finally worked. The room was filthy; my wife, of 41 years, didn't want to sleep there, but we were pretty tired from a long drive. There was stuff on the walls, empty shampoo, etc. If they don't check the shampoo what else aren't they doing? I expected a full refund, they deducted 20%. This is not over.
