I have been a loyal client for 14 years, and don't plan to change! This is a top class salon. If your appointment is at 9, she is ready when you walk in the door, that is not a normal practice!! Combine that with, she can do some HAIR! This spot, is the best kept secret!!

I discovered Shelly on a natural hair color website about 5 years ago and she has been my hairstylist/colorist ever since. I absolutely love her professionalism because, whenever I arrive for my appointment, I never have to wait. She's ready to take me when I walk in the door!! Shelly works on my hair from the time I arrive 'til the time she's done with my hair. I feel like I have my own personal hairstylist. I also like the fact that Shelly is very knowledgeable about nontraditional and natural approaches to hair care and generously shares information (whether it's hair-related or not) that might be beneficial to me. She's very mature and easy to talk to. During my visits, we talk about everything from politics to marriage. Talking to Shelly is like talking to a "Big Sister".

Before Shelly, I used to dread going to the salon to get my hair done. I'm so glad that I found her because her salon "A New Creation" truly is a New Experience, and it's the best experience that I've ever had with a hairstylist.

WOW!! What can I say but AWESOME and GROWING HANDS! I came to this salon by searching salons online that use Paul Mitchell products a few years ago. My hair was very thin, brittle, and had came out in the crown area. I was so depressed about it. But I was able to see a difference in the texture the first visit. It felt wonderful. Each month it got better and better. Before I knew it my hair was down my back and thick and flowing. I had never been to a salon where the stylist actually thanked me for coming and was genuine. Also, having a ton of knowledge about supplements and a get well plan for your hair. Thanks so much Ms. Shelly for such great customer service!!!

In the mid-nineties, I was all about the braids. So when I read about a cosmetologist who had been voted "Best Braids in Atlanta", I was there. I loved wearing braided styles by Shelly, and I received compliments all the time. However, I quickly came to realize that Shelly's expertise extended far beyond braids. I was a client of Shelly's before A New Creation Beauty Salon was ever established, and I still regard her as the quintessential stylist. She truly knows hair! The customer service and professionalism you'll receive at A New Creation is unmatched by most. The atmosphere is amazing, and she makes you feel like you're her only client. Shelly brought my daughter's hair back to life after it had been severely damaged from kitchen sink relaxers. And when my daughter decided to go natural, Shelly helped her make the transition with ease. Her hair has grown from a short afro and is now past her shoulders. If you are looking for quality hair care and a stylist who cares, look no further!

Shelly is a fabulous beautician that understands hair and how to deal with different types of hair. I am a business owner myself and I have recommended Shelly's salon because of the location of her salon and the fact that she offers a private setting to her customers. In my mind, privacy is equivalent to custom service. She listens to you. The relationship between a customer and her hairdresser should be private. Anyone choosing her services will get one on one attention. She is always ready to work and she uses salon quality hair color and hair products. If you need a licensed cosmetologist on the south side of Atlanta, please contact this shop by all means.
