We absolutely love Cedars Preschool Rex! For starters, the facility is extremely clean and always properly sanitized. Such a safe environment for our little ones. Secondly, the Directors (typically at the front desk) are AMAZING! We love Ms. Marsha, Ms. Jacquina and Ms. Angela! They welcome each family with such open arms and a smile everyday! They personally know each and every kid and parent by name which is extremely comforting. Thirdly, every single teacher that my child interacts with is absolutely WONDERFUL! Ms. Miyannah and Ms. Charmaine go above and beyond to care for my kid. They’re extremely attentive, communicative, loving and fun! My kid is in the toddler class and there’s an actual curriculum and they’re learning. It’s not just playtime. Lastly, the communication between staff and parents is top tier. They quickly report any incidents, illnesses, challenges, etc. As a parent, I believe that this is an extremely safe environment and I appreciate everyone.,

This school is nice… but if you’re looking for your child to be in a safe place, comfortable, learning everyday and treated well… please don’t choose this Cedars preschool. I am a childcare provider for over 20 years. I am able to identify both sides of the field as a parent and childcare provider. Most people don’t understand what exactly to look for when leaving your child in a center. Cedar Preschool is always out of ratio. They are consistently changing teachers. Cedar Preschool don’t communicate the important information you’d like to hear and see about your child. I’m not sure why they claim to have cameras when you don’t get updates. My child is 3 and was in a room full (15 or more) of after schoolers over the age 6. I choose Cedar at the beginning because I thought my child was safe and secured but, after 2 months of chaos with them, we are glad to move on and hopefully raise the antennas on childcare centers that “appear” to be nice but is very unsafe and inconsiderate of children.I’ve also learned since leaving that Cedar Preschool hire mostly family members and can be very bias to customers. I don’t recommend a system as such. Childcare should be solely about the kids and their well being not their personal opinions/preferences.

I absolutely love this preschool! The teachers and staff do an amazing job with preparing our little scholar for kindergarten. Ms. Sabrina did an excellent job helping our son transition from preschool to kindergarten. The facility is clean and well put together. Students are well behaved and there is always a lot of fun activities for them to do. The director and assistant director work very hard to ensure the safety and well being of all the families that attend this preschool. The best preschool in Rex!

I'm a former student of A step ahead, now called Cedar Preschool and I just want to say I loved my old school. It was genuinely the best experience I ever had in my life. I'll never forget the fun events and interactions. There'll never be a school like A step ahead.

This particular Cedar Preschool is very unprofessional! The ladies at the front (Ms. Marsha and the lady with blonde hair) are horrible are have no real professional training. It has only been 3 months maybe going on 4 that my 3 year old had attended here and today was the last day, last straw! From the start, they would mix children of different ages (red flag) within classrooms and and have no consideration of the ratio of children and teachers per class. Even the teachers complained of being overwhelmed and not able to give accurate Procare updates of the child’s day because they are the only teacher with 15+ kids per class. The director and front desk have been giving issues regarding payment, saying the card on file is declining and charging a $30 “decline fee” every time, although, we’ve had proof every time that funds are always there. I got a call Friday Sept 22 that the card declined again and Ms. Martha refused to run it again and said to come Monday to do it. She said she would remove the decline fee this time and also said she’d contact corporate about their system and why it is declining the card that has been on file since the start. I come Monday, Ms. Marsha immediately states that she “took the card off file and not going to put it back on nor run it again and that she is not going back and forth about it”. I asked is it not a conversation? Considering YOU’RE refusing to take a payment at the moment so what do we do here? Then the lady with the blonde hair proceeded to tell my child to come behind the desk so she could see the shoes my child has worn there since the first day she started. She then told me that she could no longer wear those shoes because they did not have a “heel”. I had to take my child’s shoe off to show her and she said “Oh I didn’t see that”. So just picking and provoking a paying parent in the mist of a issue that is not on my end as far as the payments. I knew time here was not going to last so I am not at all surprised at the events today. Immediately taking my child’s account out of the system, it all seemed planned. My child was very uncomfortable here and took the most time to adjust at this childcare as they swap teachers constantly and again the ratio is terrible. Your child will not get any comfort as a new child here to be able to adjust to a new environment. You will not get updates on your child’s day and any time you speak up, you’re dismissed. This is not a place I’m happy to spend money for my child to attend. The one star is being gracious but -10 across the board! Would not recommend and I’m someone with much childcare/nanny/babysitter background so I look at things not only as a parent but as a professional.update: Sept 25 @5:15 the card was just charged for LAST WEEK but I thought the card was taken off file when I went to drop my child today (LIARS) unlawful, unprofessional, and all around worst childcare!

I love Cedars Preschool. When my daughter started here she had SEVERE separation anxiety but they handled her with so much care. Now, she can’t wait to go to school. Even on the weekend she will ask about Ms. Jayla. She’s learned so much since being here. 5 stars.

Omg I love this daycare I have four children who attend on a daily for full care and one who does aftercare. Two of my children are twins and every morning and afternoon Ms.Kelly Ms.Wyatt& Ms. Marsha go out of there way to help me get in and out of the daycare. Them and my childrens teachers also go above and beyond to make us feel like family seeing as my kids spend so many hours a day there. I will continue to leave my kids at this facility hopefully until it’s time for them to go to school.
