We had a lot of damage from Hurricane Ian. We had 16 inches of bra kish water in our house. They did a great job with the clean up and restoration of my house. The wife and I considered this a forced renovation and they did a great job putting our home back together and we think the house a tally looks better then before the storm. The wife and I can't thank enough for everything they did!!!!! I would definitely Italy recommend them if you need anything done to your house!!!!

Both bathrooms were done beautifully, Vince was very professional and always responded whenever I called. I appreciate that in someone that is working for me. Never had to wait for a response. Great work!

Norman Restorations did a fantastic job. Everything was perfectly done. If something needed a touch up, Chris Norman immediately took care of any issues. First floor completely renovated. Kitchen looks like it belongs in Southern Living. This is the 2nd job Chris Norman has done for me and I highly recommendd him and his company.

I hired Chris to manage two renovation projects in a historic building in downtown Savannah, GA. Working with Chris Norman started off good, but ended badly. Chris overpromised and underdelivered. At times he was dishonest about the work that was done and did not seem to have access to any real professionals. His team did not take pride in their work and even did damage to my condos. On average, things had to be done 2-3 times before they were done correctly. This includes painting, installation of lights, sinks, cabinetry, tile work, plumbing, electrical, etc. Whenever I held Chris accountable for the poor craftsmanship of his crew, he blamed anything and everyone else. He never took accountability for not properly supervising my projects and his lack of oversight co$t me big time. In the end, Chris took two trips to Guatemala, finished 3 months behind schedule, and went over our initial budget. Not only did I pay for the mistakes, but I also lost money due to the carrying costs associated with not being able to rent my condos for 3 additional months. Chris had problems with almost everyone he worked with. My neighbors, the building manager, and Chris's own employees complained about his temperament and lack of oversight. Several of his people quit and I played the role of mediator more than a couple times. When I interviewed Chris, I asked him about his ability to pull necessary permits for any plumbing and electrical and he assured me he would pull all necessary permits. In the end, I had to actually threaten to turn him and his electrician over to the city because they had not pulled permits or scheduled the required inspection for rewiring one of my units. I asked Chris before I hired him if he was familiar with dealing with older buildings that might have lead based paint. He told me he was licensed to handle that and his crew would seal the doorways/ windows as well as use a ventilation system. I found out from infuriated neighbors, as well as the building manager that Chris's guys were grinding paint without ventilation and that all the dust was coating the hallways walls, floors, trim, and ledges of the building's communal spaces. Dust was also on the exterior balconies and windows of the units beneath mine. Lead or no lead, dust needs to be managed and Chris's handling of this was unacceptable and not what we agreed to when I hired him. Towards the end as my trust/ confidence in Chris dwindled, I hired a plumber to address a major issue that would have flooded my downstairs neighbors' unit. Chris said he would pay for it, but only paid half of what it cost to fix his plumber's blunders. I also had to repair and secure all of my 100 year old windows, which Chris's crew further damaged and degraded. I could go on, but there is a character limit for reviews on Houzz. The bottom line - I expected my contractor's standards to be no lower than what he would expect in his own home and I do not recommend Norman "Restorations".

Several people quit and I played the role of mediator more than a couple times. I hired Chris to manage two renovation projects in a historic building in downtown Savannah, GA. The budget was six figures and when I interviewed him, I asked him about his ability to pull necessary permits for any plumbing and electrical. He assured me he would pull all necessary permits. In the end however, I had to actually threaten to turn him and his electrician over to the city because they had not pulled the proper permits or scheduled the required inspections for rewiring one of my units. Before I hired Chris, I also asked if he was familiar with renovating older buildings that may have lead based paint. He told me he was licensed to handle that and his crew would seal the doorways/ windows as well as use a ventilation system. I found out later from infuriated neighbors as well as the building manager that Chris’s guys were grinding paint without ventilation and that all the dust was coating the hallways, walls, and floors of the building's communal spaces. The balcony and windows of the unit below mine was also coated in dust. Lead or no lead, dust needs to be managed and Chris’s handling of this was unacceptable and not what we agreed to when I hired him. Towards the end of the project, as my trust and confidence in Chris dwindled, I decided to hire my own plumber to cap my gas line’s and take a look at my tub’s drain because it didn't look right. My plumber immediately identified that my drain was cross-threaded and that it would have flooded into the unit below as soon as we ran water. Luckily (I say this sarcastically) Chris's crew had sheet rocked and plastered over the access to the bathtub's plumbing and in doing so, left the water valves in the off position so that water could not run from the tub faucet. My plumber had to cut into the wall in order to turn the valves on. Once he got into the wall, he replaced the cross-threaded drain and turned the water on to test it. The water began pouring from behind the sheetrock up near the shower head. The plumber had to cut further up into the wall where he found the shower riser leaking at a compression nut. These repairs cost me $1,300 out of pocket. Although Chris said he would "take care of it" he decided instead to go on his SECOND trip to Guatemala and in the end, only paid me for half of his plumber's blunder. He haggled me by saying he didn't think the plumbing should have cost that much and that he wasn't making any money on my projects. All of this was entirely avoidable had he just done his job by checking his plumber’s work, but should go without saying that it is hard to make money as a contractor when you have to have jobs done 2-3 times before getting it right. Chris's cabinet source Reliance Cabinetry was another hack job. The cabinets were low quality, damaged by the installers, and not what I agreed to. They were cheap (mostly particle

Norman Restorations was the quickest to reply to my inquiry & also available to do the water damage drywall repairs & miscellaneous improvements to property just before the 4 of July Holiday. Norman was very thoughtful and considerate in his communication regarding the needs I had with my condo in Hinesville, GA. The level of customer service, prompt & timely execution of the job and estimate was also exceptional. This business is highly recommended & I will definitely use his business again if needed

Terrible. Fired him. I paid Chris for two steps because he had Car issues - chris then told me he would NOT finish the job unless I paid him a lot more money. A con. Workmanship terrible. Subs constantly quitting. Yelling at job site. Huge temper. Makes decisions without including the owner and then bullies or makes excuses or charges extra for his mistakes. I paid him a lot of money - tried to help him out and he screwed me. I'm having to redo a lot of his work. - and bc I was remote a lot of the work looked done in pictures but in reality the work was not complete. A con. - he works under someone else's license and I'm not sure if that person exists. A nightmare. I will post pics of his workmanship On other sites. Be wary. You have been warned.

Norman Restorations did an amazing job renovating our home. We had them install laminate flooring throughout, paint the dining, kitchen and living rooms along with 2 hallways, and paint kitchen cabinets. It was a big job and it was handled professionally and with care. The same crew arrived on time each day and worked a full day leaving our home in good condition so that we were still able to function. The owner checked on the job daily and ensured that everything was to our satisfaction, and it was. The job was scheduled to go for 10 days but they finished in 7 days. The quality of the work is excellent. The house looks beautiful and we are very happy with the outcome. This contractor is very reliable and treated the house as if someone lives here. The entire experience was very positive. I highly recommend them.
