I spent almost 2200.00 a few months ago for machine work,when I took it all up there,I talked to larry.david wound up doing the work...end result....they ordered the wrong camshaft(they fixed that).then they ordered low compression pistons(instead of flat top,like I discussed with larry) and bored it 30 over instead of 40 over( like I discussed with larry),and wouldn't make it right.before I would have referred Larry's to everyone,but not anymore

These people are absolutely amazing! The environment is professional, clean, and fast. I had to rebuild a engine on a 2008 chevy HHR 4 cyl 2.2L due to the cylinder bores being out of shape and the head having scoring on them due to plastic being in the engine and Larry Smith automotive cleaned and fixed the motor amazingly. These photos is their work and as you can see the work is PHENOMENAL!!! 10/10 would recommend to anyone. They also explained the process to me very well so I understood what was going on with my engine at all times. THIS PLACE IS OUTSTANDING! The customer service and quality of work is excellent. I'm rebuilding my wife's motor, and, I needed some cleaning and expert advice to get my wife's car up and running again. I had some recent surgery, and because I had to rent a car, they expedited the work and the engine block and cylinder head were spotless and they even did more than that I expected. I'm a 65 year old man and I'm so lucky to find a shop that still has integrity in the way they do business.

Absolutely awesome! That honestly may be an understatement, I dropped a set of heads to be resurfaced and I expected paying more than I did. They removed the broken exhaust bolt, cleaned and resurfaced them. Friendly service and kept in the loop the whole time.

Just dropped my motor off at Larry Smith Automotive Machine Shop and I can’t say enough about how good their customer service is and pricing. This a real deal machine shop with real machinist which are harder to come by today. Very impressed

If you're looking for a machine shop in North Ga then look no further. My brother told me about Larry a few years ago, he's done multiple LS engines for my brother with nothing but great results. I've used him twice for Honda engine machine work and I've had the same results. I'll be taking a D16A6 block to him next week for my mostly original CRX Si and I have absolute faith that it will turn out perfect. The OEM head that's currently back on the car was also refreshed by him last year (300k miles still on the block) and it runs better than it did new.

I have worked with Larry’s multiple times in the past, but this time I feel like I was ripped off, $360 for 2 heads and valve covers. Valve seals were replaced and valve seats re-done, intake and exhaust runners were still caked with build up, and broken exhaust bolts were left in the heads, didn’t realize till I got the heads torqued and ready for headers. Had to buy new head bolts and gaskets. All that with a 2.5 weeks wait. They did quickly remove the exhaust bolts after bringing them back.
