No a/c. It was HOT!!! Especially around the dryers. Door was propped open but barely a breeze came thru. Not all the ceiling fans were on ( which might have helped matters). Prices for washing were HIGH. I won't be back to visit this sweatshop. 🥵🥵🥵

Wasn't the cleanest but it is open 24 hours, which is rare around these parts. Also, no bathroom & no vending machines for laundry soap or dryer sheets, etc..

My wife was just in here today and I put had enough money to wash three loads of clothes and dry that many as well. She also brought enough to buy detergent and bleach. Well, she put in $4 in quarters for the detergent and nothing.....now, she's out money for a load to clothes she was thinking and she just thought she would combine instead of separating out our delicates and regular wash and hope for the best when she tried one more time for the detergent, but yet again, the machine confiscated another $4 in quarters from here. Now facing and calling me crying about it not knowing what she should do about our clothes as she had brought enough for whites, delicates and regular and for two separate dryers to dry our clothes....whites,towels, wash rags etcm..n one and all the others combined. but now down $8 that basically left her facing either go buy detergent (which will always happen and never trust a machine again for it btw, lesson learned) or just forget it and go somewhere that she could only wash the clothes that were necessary for another day or two and that's what she did at the laundry mat on shorter ave in the shopping center next to Subway in West Rome. I am not sure what's happened here but I'm going back this morning and handling this and gettingour clothes washed at this place. I knew Mr. Nelson my entire life as I grew up in Garden Lakes and we used these machines all the time but anytime we had a problem like this. I mean the guy was also my barber for most of my life as well so this place has some great memories coming here as I would sit in the corner playing the sit down packman machine while mom handled the clothes and if a problem Mr Nelson would open the machines and give my mom credit for the wash and her money she lost for the aggravation and inconvenience it caused and that's why we go there, so this was a little disappointing to here about just moving back to Rome and using for the first time again..it's just easier to do all your clothes at once and be done with it instead of making it an all day thing load after load. So, we will see what happens and if I receive a better service and figure out if there is a one off experience, it happens, but crying over laundry is just not something to cry about as she did
...but I'll change the rating if my laundry experience changes here in about 30 min when I get off work and go in.
As for now a rating of two, would be one as nothing was accomplished and nothing is being remedied for a solution just yet ...and I give the two only because it holds memories of me and my mom of this place when I experienced the greatest time period of my life and that's why this one hurt a little bit.
Here's hoping for all stars in the next hour...will update
I also wondered if they accepted cards on their machines???....I could have just said use the actual credit card and this would have never happened

Has been under new ownership for the past few months! The owner always makes great conversation and has offered to pay for my washer/dryer many times! More reliable washers and dryers since he has taken over. He is also very present when it comes to cleaning the business daily. Significant changes from previous owners.

Honestly the owner is very kind and considerate!!! One wk I came in and there was free laundry soap sitting out for guest to use!! Then he actually paid for one of my washers, which was a blessing, everything counts now a days!! Truly recommend washing in the huge new washers that can hold atleast to laundry baskets of clothes.

Zero stars, jankiest place I have ever been to. Literally only had 2 washers working and 1 dryer, trash was completely everywhere, I mean just a broom and dust pan would make a difference. Such a disappointment with it being a nice neighborhood.

I gave it one more try. Machines are not well kempt. The place is not clean. One man's clothes were stuck in the washing machine. No number to call for help. Used to love this one. I remember now why I go to Shorter

Whoever owns this laundromat now let it completely go. Dryers don't even dry the clothes at all let alone work.. majority of the washers do not work. Just a whole hot mess!!
