I recently purchased a 2016 Subaru Outback from Sherold Salmon and was very pleased with the experience! The sales manager was very helpful in working to secure a deal that worked with our budget. I would recommend for anyone in the market for a used car!

Bought a 2004 cobra that they made it appear would only need some tlc. Bad rear end, driveshaft, harmonic balancer, crankshaft ruined. List goes on. Probably 15k needed in repairs. Not trustworthy.
Update Nov. 26, 2025: Now they’re threatening me to remove this review or they’ll take legal action. I purchased the car at the dealership but the son is saying he has no relationship with the dealership even though that’s where I picked up the car.
“ Hey man, I just got an email.
They’ve contacted their lawyer you have until the end of next week to have the review taken down or it’ll cost more than just car repairs. This isn’t me pursuing it’s them and they are pissed. Just a heads up because I know you’ve kinda been through it. But they aren’t as nice as I am when insulted. Let me know a good address to send the letter to if you aren’t planning on being compliant ”

Do not buy a vehicle from Sherold Salmon Motors.
The experience was terrible. They do not keep the warranty agreement as discussed.
I spent most of the day traveling, at least 6 hours, to purchase a 2020 Dodge Ram truck.
I arrived, and they informed me that the truck had been taken to some local
auction. I waited until the next morning to test-drive this truck and do the paperwork.
Jasper A. and Tadj B. made it clear to me that the truck had a 1,000-mile warranty to fix any issues. To make a long story short, one of the lights on the 2020 Ram truck wasn't working, which should have been fixed before it was put up for sale. I ended up informing Jasper that the light was out way before I reached the 1,000 miles. (I will say the lights had 4 LED bulbs in one fitting and could have easily been missed, especially for me, as it was my first time buying a RAM).
But the point is, he was made aware of the issue and told me to take the truck to a local repair shop because the dealership quoted over $1,500 to fix it. Well, I did that, and the place said this is a dealer item, and we can't get it. Took it back to the dealer. Jasper informed me to send the receipt to him, but he was sure his dealership would not pay that amount. I decided to pay the bill, and after paying it, Jasper informed me that his boss would not pay anything because I had already paid for it. I find that to be very crooked, and I expressed that to him. Even if they didn't want to pay the dealership's bill, they should have paid some of the funds back to me.
Do not buy a car from this dealership!!!!!!

Buyer beware, because this dealer sells cars they know have issues.
I had always heard good things about them, and so when I needed a new vehicle and they had a Jeep Wrangler on the lot that fit my situation perfectly, I went to check it out and ended up buying it. It appeared it was in good shape and I saw no issues and they told me about no issues.
On the way home, the check engine light came on. I also found out quick it had an oil leak. As long as it had been on their lot, I have little doubt they hadn’t noticed it.
When I reported the issues, they just cleared the engine code (it wa for several misfires) and said call us back if it comes back on. And of course 3 days later, it was back on.
I ended up in the hospital a short time later with serious health issues, and my family kept pursuing getting the issues fixed by SS and the Jeep ended up going to their mechanic.
That was April. I have just now got it back fixed 5 months later having put less than 400 miles on it.
The issues with it were so serious that the Dodge dealership that it’s at now debated whether to just replace the engine.
The only reason this is not a 1 star review was that Austin, their now former sales manager, after some resistance agreed to put me in a rental car until it was fixed.
I have heard several other stories similar to mine too from customers and from the mechanics that have reported having to repair cars that were just sold by Sherold Salmon.

We thoroughly enjoyed the process. Our previous experience was done at a larger dealership and this was by far a better experience. Jasper and Austin did a wonderful job getting my husband the car he wanted and a price that works for our family! We will definitely be back for future purchases.

Just got a traverse . Excellent service and very fair . Great people. Awesome experience. I live in Eufaula, AL which is a 3 and a half hour drive . Austin was very respectful and I am thankful for the experience because it was my first car I bought. Finding the car and Austin along with the staff were a real blessing .

They sold me a lemon, overcharged me. Told me 7% interest and it's 17% interest. 6 months into driving a 2017 hyandai elantra the coolant hose blows and get that fixed out of pocket. Then a week later my head gasket is blown. The car came with bald tires so I had to come out of pocket on that. I'm a disabled vet and this is how they treated me. I don't drive my car like a bat out of hell. DO NOT BUY A CAR FROM THIS PLACE. Super shady
