Eric is very knowledgeable about transmissions and the solutions to fix or rebuild . I feel that he does an excellent job of explaining what needs to be done, options, and his pricing seems fair. Appointments should be made ahead of time if possible as he is very busy . This is one shop where you can place trust in what parts are really needed and not a rip off.

Eric knew exactly what repairs my car needed. He was precise, honest, kept me informed and up front on the cost of the work needed. He was up front with the time needed to take care of me.

If I could give you 10 stars Eric, I would.Great communication, excellent work.I was referred to Eric by another mechanic to look at my transmission. While replacing my transmission he noticed my barrens needed replacing, so we scheduled the repairs. I picked up my car and wow! What a difference! The noise is gone and my car drove so much better. I could even hear myself talk. .I've had several other mechanics work on my car and at no time did they think to check my barrens. In one year, I had 2 sets of front brakes put on, new tires and had it aligned and I still had loud tires. I had lost hope in ever getting my car fixed right, until I went to Eric.Thank you Eric for everything you did for my car.I am grateful ? one more happy customer. ?

My girlfriend dropped her car off and it was ready within two days. Upon arrival things were kept honest and straightforward, but very friendly.Car runs great ?Ten out of ten would recommend.

Had Eric work on my wife's jaguar after another highly advertised business tried to work us over. Eric was very fair and up front on the work needed and prices. Very honest , and very concerned about doing the job right and getting the customers vehicle back as soon as possible. Highly recommend Eric at shift- It transmission

I called Eric and ask him if they could help me with a problem that I was experiencing after replacing the battery on my 2013 Ford Escape. My problem with the windshield wiper system stopped working. Before contacting Eric I ask the local Ford dealership what they would charge for the repairs estimated cost, they said $121 to check it out and $513/wiper motor plus $189 labor if they only had to replace the right side wiper motor totaling $823. Eric told me how to align the wiper blades over the phone at no charge and this fixed my problem. People say "It's hard to find an honest Mechanic". I thank God I called Eric @ Shift-It Transmission and Complete Auto Repair, He is an Honest Mechanic and he saved me at least $823 and has gained my respect and business. Thank you Eric for helping me with my wiper problem and for saving me $ over $823, Respectfully Harvey Bishop III

The guy I spoke with is very professional and his prices are wonderful. If he hasn’t already worked on the vehicle and you call or go by and ask about pricing and what he thinks could be wrong with the transmission he will be very upfront and honest with you I’m taking my Tundra to him Tuesday he said once he pulls the pan to see if there’s anything in it or not either way he’s gonna call me to tell me if it’s gonna be a bandaid fix or an expensive fix in his words lol he’ll call to let me know and see what I would want to do.

My car was slipping into neutral while in 6th gear. The first place we took it to had determined that I needed a new clutch and they would do it for $1,600. We called around to get a lower price and encountered Shift-It. The man there said he would order the part for us, we'd drop it off 9/28 (Wed) and get it back 9/30 (Fri), and it would be $1,200. When we dropped the car off, they had no idea what was supposed to be done. The person we spoke to initially didn't write anything down OR order the part. HOWEVER, Eric at Shift-It apologized for this as his manager quit without any notice the day before. He also said that he would honor the quote that was given to us but unfortunately, the work wouldn't get done until the following week (because the part hadn't been ordered). The car was finished by Tuesday of the following week and she shifted like a dream! When I stopped at the store on the way home, my car wouldn't start up again. With a little extra work, I was able to get it started and drove it home. First thing in the morning, I called Shift-It and he said to bring it back and if it was anything that they'd done while repairing it, he would fix it. If it was outside of what they'd done, we'd work something out. On top of that, he went above and beyond the call of duty and said that if I couldn't get it started, he would come by my house and see if he could get it to the shop!!! I was able to get the car started and drove it up on my lunch hour. I was only experiencing the issue when the car was warm. They ran some tests and said I needed a new crankshaft. He knocked down the price on the labor because I'd already been there that week and he'd just need some time to get the part. It only cost me around $160 extra for parts and labor. I drove it to get breakfast this morning and made several stops on the way back--no issues whatsoever!Additionally, Eric stayed after hours so I could pick up my car after work and he even stayed and discussed with me at length topics about my car giving me more education. He was so nice and did such amazing work, I hugged him. :) DO NOT HESITATE to take your car to Shift-It Transmissions for anything! Even an oil change! They will do a phenomenal job. They are honest people who want to make things right---even when you experience an issue due to a member of their staff that no longer works there.
