Read a lot of great reviews about this place, so decided to go to get some measurements done for groomsman for our wedding.While the man was good at taking the measurements and was polite to the groom, the plus size friend of ours that came in for measurements he was incredibly rude to. From the moment our friend walked in the door, the man laughed and made a rude comment, and throughout the entire process, continued to make rude comments to him about his size.I would expect more from someone who is supposed to be an impartial professional, not to mention a decent human.We will not be dealing with this shop anymore. There is no room for such a bad attitude and rude person.

The Lodge is one of the incredibly pleasant surprises I had on my first trip to Rome, Georgia. I really wasn't expecting to find some higher end men's stores here and I'm so glad I stopped into a couple of them and I felt particularly good about The Lodge.The owner was very enjoyable to talk with and he was very knowledgeable about all of his products and I could tell he had a real passion for men's fashion. I think if you're someone who loves more upscale menswear or you're looking to get into that sort of clothes, he would be more than capable of giving good advice and picking out solid options for you.I would say a lot of the options in the store are on the more affordable side which is really nice (although you could easily spend a hefty amount), and there's a real sort of small business, craft feel to many of the brands The Lodge carries. At The Lodge, you could put together a really nice outfit with clothes that are just a bit more unique than at most menswear stores. The Res Ipsa selection they carry is so cool!

Hal is the best. I went in for a suit to wear in engagement pictures and he knew exactly what I needed and had it adjusted to fit me. I’ll be coming back any time I need new dress clothes.

Just going to say this - if you are a man in Rome and not allowing Hal Richards to at least give your style a once over or help you into something new - you are certainly doing yourself a disservice. Hal has taken my husband from Carhartt to Haupt (a swanky German brand which we adore) and I could not be more grateful. The Lodge is inspiring as well - love the decor and his selection is beyond chic and exceeds all expectations. Even has a few womens pieces and accessories. Go now!

I was a little intimidated walking into the store since I had no real knowledge or experience in formal wear. But Hal was incredibly helpful and explained everything I needed in the most polite, professional way. He helped me pick the best suit for me and adjusted it. I recommend this store to anyone for your suit buying experience.

Hal curates an amazing collection of clothing at his store. He's passionate about what he does, and friendly enough to share a lifetime of knowledge. No matter what you leave there wearing, you'll be ten times as confident in it! This place was an unexpected find for me. I'll definitely return.
