I received amazing service using Thomas Bowen CPA and highly recommend them. In a very short period of time they helped me get my information together and get my taxes completed for a much lower rate and with less hassle than prior CPAs I have used. As a small business owner completing the process of tax preparation is always a nightmare each year. I'm not trying to say they made it fun - but they sure made it easy and were able to explain things in a quick and easy manner. Deborah and Tom were both extremely responsive and pleasant to work with.

Used Thomas Bowen back in 2019 after moving to Roswell and will never use again and would not recommend. First, they filed our return with the wrong address and incorrect SSN even after I pointed the errors out. Then their client data was compromised and all of our personal information was stolen! Fraudulent returns were filed under our SSNs. The firm did absolutely nothing to assist us in this matter or rectify the situation. They also gave the IRS our wrong address so we never received a case number. IRS would not help us without a case number and this ended up taking over a year to resolve considering all of this happened during covid. I had to go in person to the IRS to prove my identity and file the correct return major problem was that the IRS offices were closed for months on end. Thomas Bowen's lack of security with client data is reprehensible and has caused tremendous frustration over the last 2 years.

I have used Thomas Bowen CPA firm for several years now and have found the firm to be both professional, and responsive. The staff is friendly and detailed oriented. I will continue to utilize their services in the future. I highly recommended this firm.

It’s almost August 2021 and I am still waiting on my 2019 tax refund that was filed last March…How is this possible? Due to the firm’s security breach, I too like the other reviewers mentioned below am suffering from both fraudulent tax returns filed on my behalf + identity theft. I have had to follow up with the IRS dozens of times to verify my identity, confirm tax return amounts, personal info, work, etc. just to be told they’re still waiting on additional documents from my tax accountant. Why was there no assistance or aid from Bowen? It would have meant a lot to just receive a phone call or email update on the situation, rather than him constantly deflecting and mentioning how “everyone else was in the same boat as me”. I’ve actually met a couple of other people that experienced the same horror story, so I wouldn’t be surprised if more reviewers came forward about this whole situation. I was extremely patient and understanding from the start, but Thomas’s lack of communication and transparency over this past year is what prompted me to write this review. I’m beyond disappointed in this firm and all the damage it has caused.

I used Thomas Bowen’s accounting firm for both my personal and business taxes, and have had the worst experience imaginable! The firm suffered a huge security breach due to their own negligence in 2020, and all of my information was stolen in addition to fraudelent tax returns filed on my behalf. There was absolutely no prior communication with me in regards to my identity being comprised, until fraudulent tax refunds starting showing up at my house. Due to my identity being stolen, I even had bank accounts opened up in my name in different states! There was no support or assistance in the matter whatsoever, and I constantly had to wait hours on the phone just to speak to an IRS representative on additional documentation they needed from me (which definitely should of been Bowen’s responsibility to follow up). This entire situation put a huge financial strain on me, along with the incovenience and frustration of having to acquire identity theft monitoring programs & constantly enabling credit locks/freezes. I have still yet to recieve a response from an email I sent on March 7th, which truly shows his lack of ethics and professionalism.

I’m very appreciative of Mr. Bowen and his firm. I had another CPA prior that was inattentive and really needed a team to put the pieces back together. I couldn’t be more pleased. Deborah and Linda are both wonderful and couldn’t be more helpful when I need them!

I was just told by Tom Bowen I was not low maintenance (implying I am high maintenance) because I ask questions and was not notified about their price increase which then I questioned the price, he came off very rude and unprofessional. I've never been talked to like that in what should be a professional relationship. My tax returns also had incorrect numbers in my copy. I will never use this company or refer Tom to any of my clients again.
