Had them replace a transmission. Took them 6 months. They had to do the job twice. Car runs terribly and needs the job done again.

Mini Tec goes above and beyond to make their customers happy. I had a issue with an item getting damaged in shipping and BJ from Mini Tec immediately rectified the issue. I am located and north GA and he personally delivered the part to me to make sure it didn’t get damaged in shipping again. Thank you so much Mini Tec! I will recommend everyone with a Mini to purchase from you and use your services!

This guys are not honestly if you like vtecs dont buy here thi guy will ask for amoney up front and after 8 monts you might here from him and he ill tell you up i dknt have time for this mini he is a joke o and he sends me a broken motor and uncompleted set up this guy suks big time

Advise to Potential Shoppers:
- MiniTec has good custom parts: shifter and subframe for example
- Don't expect them to communicate well after they have your money
- Don't base your project timelines on the projected timelines Mini Tec provides
- The engine you are paying for is a B16A, which is rated for 160 Horsepower, not the 180 as described. (B16B is rated for 180)
- Expect to do some engine cleaning because MiniTec paints the longblock even when it still has grease on it in attempts to make it look better than it is.
- If ordering an engine package, be sure to reach out to MiniTec for your tracking number because they won't bother to send it to you
- If ordering an engine package, and it is expected to arrive on a Monday, be sure to SCHEDULE your freight delivery with R+L Carriers the week before. Otherwise, the freight will not be delivered on Monday.
Advise to MiniTec Management:
- A good business practice is: "Underpromise and overdeliver"
- Communication is pretty important when you are expecting clients to pay thousands of dollars for a product and/or service while you fail to keep them informed
- Hire more people if you are busy or don't take more orders than your resources can fulfill
Summary:
First and foremost, I try to be reasonable and understanding when it comes to business, and I tried VERY hard to give MiniTec the benefit of any doubts when I was purchasing my engine package, but my experience was horrible and I will not be recommending them to any potential client.
In a nutshell, I was told by BJ (in mid-June 2018) directly that the engine would ship out in 6 to 8 weeks because they were busier than expected. RESULT: I did not receive the engine for 13 weeks, and to this day, I'm still waiting on my coilovers because they failed to include them in my package. (Yep, that's 18 weeks total).
When I finally received my order, the pedal kit makes a very loud / audible noise whenever the clutch is depressed, and the manufacturer Wilwood confirmed that the pedal is defective. Why didn't MiniTec bother to do a simple Quality check? Beats me.
Welp, I'm off to go fix the things that make me regret doing business with this company in the first place...
