I spent $220 on 2 dresses today and the younger girl was SOOOO nice but the older woman kept staring down my 2 year old son who had an apple in his stroller meanwhile she was so excited that there was a little dog in there….she didn’t say anything to us but she was giving us death glares meanwhile the little dog was licking his whole butt like ??? I wouldn’t recommend going just because of her….clearly she prefers animals to people and I definitely prefer dogs over her too!!!

Roberta's carries a nice selection of summer dresses with UPF 50+. The sales staff is quite helpful. I stopped by and left with 3 dresses and a sheer wrap that can be used with all three. Loved the colors!

Watch your reciept! The older lady, who has worked here many years and should know better, charged me twice for a 2 piece toddler outfit, resulting in a $25 overcharge. Claimed she thought the shirt and shorts, which were both on one hanger with one price tag, were separates. I voiced my suprise about the price, but she didn't double check it. So I let her ring it all up, charge me and then I requested the refund, to see how far they'd take the act.
When I came in July, the younger female workers were much more pleasant than the older ones with pretentious airs, who seem to point out to certain shoppers where sales ranks are, as customers are judged as soon as they walk in.

I rarely leave reviews, but I felt compelled to share this experience. My mom, whom I don’t see often, visited me this weekend, and we were excited to shop together. She took me into this store where she had purchased a baby outfit for me 27 years ago. Unfortunately, our enjoyable day was marred by an extremely rude store associate. The associate insisted that my mom could not bring her unopened coffee into the store, despite the fact that the coffee contained sugar she needs for a medical condition. When my mom told her, “that’s okay. I was about to spend some more money in here” the associate responded with “have a good day” This lack of understanding and courtesy made us both feel very unwelcome. It’s disappointing, and we won’t be returning.

Have been coming to this store for 30 plus years. Visited today, walked in to see another patron with a Great Dane wearing Crocs. He was adorable and very well behaved. I however had an unopened coffee in my hand and the sales girl could not wait to approach me and tell me that no outside food or beverage is allowed. I can respect that but an unopened coffee!!! Wonder how much money that Great Dane spent. We live in a woke society, folks where animals are treated with more respect than humans. Sadly they lost my business and I have spent plenty with them over the last 30 years.

Super cute store. Walked in at 4:25 and was told that they closed at 5. That’s fine, but seemed a little early to want to get the message across. I ended up with almost $500 worth of clothes in my fitting room, and they proceeded to turn off lights and lock the door while I was still trying on clothes, all before 5. I ended up buying a few things but had to literally be let out by a worker at 4:55, before they closed. Guess they don’t care too much about making business.

Everytime I come here, I find a beautiful dinner or holiday dress, though they do have all the typical neon, boxy shaped coastal dresses if you're into that. They didn't mind my toddler son "exploring" while I tried things on. I read previous reviews about the employees. Yes, they can be pretentious, but haven't been rude. I do get better help when I go in dressed up versus casual. Overall, a nice elevated store among tourist shops.

I been coming to St. Simons for years and always walked by this store thinking it’s another one of those tourist stores. Am I glad it is not. The store have a very eclectic vibe which I adore and is so refreshing compared to other stores in the village. I was able to find two dresses which I can’t wait to wear to dinner while my husband and I are still on the island. If you’re looking for something unique without the dreadful mass produce “St. Simons Island” stamp all over it, check this place out. Also for price point I think it is very reasonable and comparable to your typical boutique shops.

Such lovely dresses. They gave my daughter so much time and attention while helping her pick out the perfect dress for her school dance.

We were just in this little shop in the St Simon's village The woman who finally waited on us was... rude/very unfriendly, not the least bit helpful. Not a kind word or a thank you. Looking back, we should have just left. They must be desperate for help. The young person working was friendly and welcoming, our only reason for completing our purchase. Emma from SSI

I loved shopping at Roberta's By The Sea yesterday. One of the best shops there in the area. Their merchandise is not the typical and same old beach stuff tourists will find in other stores. I spent a lot of money, but it was worth every dollar. Roberta's has beautiful merchandise including a variety of everything. If you love beach candles, check them out. They smell heavenly! I'm stunned at some of the negative reviews I just read. Possibly one of those days. I must admit saleslady wasn't friendly, but I had no problem with her whatsoever. I'll definitely be returning next visit to Saint Simons! Thank you for making my 32 birthday a pleasant shopping experience!!!
