Immediate response to a potential poison episode. Warm and caring people, but also knowlegable and professional. Fortunately, our dog was fine, and we were not charged for the visit. We are keeping this number in our phones.

Amazing customer service. Every staff member was kind & friendly (to me & my dog). Took time to listen & talk through a range of options. I felt confident in the decisions made & never felt pressured. Ten stars!!

The veterinarian who performed emergency surgery on my dog saved her life. Everyone I met with through my experience there was skilled, caring and completely transparent. I wish they had 24/7 capacity, but will always be grateful they were available when I needed them most.

Dr. Landrum, I hate to leave a negative review. This may be my first. I hope this one can be used as constructive criticism. Last Saturday, my German Shepherd was very sick. I took him to my vet in the morning, they ran a blood test, white blood count was very high, doctor said probably an infection, gave me a bottle of large antibiotic pills. He told me if I needed help over the weekend on Sunday, I should bring my dog to your hospital. I could not get my dog to swallow any of the pills and he was getting much sicker. I was worried if he would live through the night. I thought perhaps an antibiotic injection would help. Sunday morning at 7:00 AM I filled out the check-in form on your website. At 7:30, I called and asked the lady if she had my form, she did. Then I asked her if now a good time to bring the dog in, she said yes. My wife and I immediately drove over, rang the doorbell and when we walked in a man and woman behind the glass ask sternly "what are you doing here?" I told them we had called just a few minutes earlier and ask if I could bring my dog over, that he was very sick. They told us to go into a small room and wait. We waited and waited for 45 minutes. Finally, a woman came by and told us someone will be coming in to see you "in a little while". I told her we've been here 45 minutes. She said we have other patients. Then another lady came in a little bit later and ask what seems to be the problem. I had brought the blood test with me, showed her the white blood count, told her my dog desperately needed antibiotics and I was hoping to get an injection. She shuffled the papers and then said to me the doctor will be down to see you, but it'll probably be another hour. I told her we've already been here an hour. She said we have other patients. I told her that is exactly the reason I asked on the first phone call if it was a good time to bring my dog over. I did not expect to drive over and then wait two hours. At that point, my dog seemed to be feeling a little better, so we decided to take him home. On the way out, I told the lady at the front desk that the dog was doing a little bit better, and I would just take him home. My wife was angry, she said to the lady we've been waiting here a long time. The lady at the front desk, I think her name was Jenny, said snidely "you'll wait longer if you go anywhere else". That comment was completely uncalled for. Dr. Landrum, you have the words caring and compassionate all over your website. We did not experience anything close to caring or compassionate. I think your staff needs training, they need to know how to handle clients and their pets much better than what they're doing now.

My dog got a round bone stuck on her bottom jaw and they quickly removed it at no charge. Hopefully never have to return, but relieved to know we have them in our community if needed.

We took our cat here tonight and the vet was very knowledgeable and took the time to sit down with us and explain his issues which was very comforting to me. The vet tech was also phenomenal at summarizing the information and providing extra tips. I definitely trust them & appreciate their care!

We had to bring our dog in around 3:00am last night as she was unfortunately experiencing what we now know to be congestive heart failure. Everyone at this practice was incredibly kind, compassionate, and patient while also providing knowledgeable and professional care for our dog. They were able to quickly diagnose and begin treatment to help her and got her on medication that at least for now has her acting like her old self. Communication was clear throughout, everything from while we were waiting for results to the aftercare instructions. The cost was also reasonable considering the urgency and amount of care and diagnosis provided. So grateful for everyone here, thank you!!

I can't say enough wonderful things about the quality of care that my dog received today at the Animal Emergency Center of Sandy Springs. The front office staff, the technicians, and Dr. Maloy were great. Thanks to their excellent care, my dog is feeling much better! I highly recommend this veterinary hospital!

I’m not sure if the whole staff is like this. But as of now this is the worst place you can take your pet to. I went in there with my puppy sick we didn’t know what was wrong with her all we knew was that she was in really bad pain maybe a snake bite or not sure. I went to this place trying to get my puppy treated it was at 11:30 PM I was not even allowed to enter the building when a nurse came out and I asked if they could treat my dog and she said that they couldn’t because the doctor was busy treating a very important customer and that she couldn’t pull him out. I begged her as we knew our puppy was in pain. But didn’t hesitate to turn us around. I asked where was the next closest hospital and she said to search it up. I found one in Johnson ferry rd and rushed up there but highway was close for construction. Unfortunately our puppy passed away on the way to the vet. When arrived there they checked her and we were told that she had a snake bite in her stomach most likely a copperhead. And that if we would’ve arrived an hour earlier she would’ve made it. So if this place would’ve received her we would still have our puppy with us.

Worst experience ever!!! The staff are so heartless, unethical, and have little to no compassion at all. The doctor scared me with the worst of the worst which drove me to almost putting my animal down. Not only that, the heartless staff was quick to take my pet for the procedure and rubbed in my face that I was doing, “bare minimal and it’s going to come back”…. They also told me they called doctors nearby (10:45 at night) and wanted to adopt my pet out to a doctor who could “afford him”. I felt so pressured and gaslighted there!!! I paid for a small treatment to hold my pet over and IMMEDIATELY took my fury friend to Veterinary Emergency Group of Alpharetta! I can’t tell you how satisfied I was there. A++++… now this place on other hand definitely has a serious issue with presentation and how to handle stressed out families in a very vulnerable time. My sister was on the phone with me the whole time and our jaws were dropped in disgust and hatred for this place…My fury friend is doing AMAZING one week later due to the caring and understanding staff at Veterinary Emergency group of Alpharetta. Please consider taking your fury friend somewhere else!

Hardly a wait, very friendly and professional staff that cares about the animals. They had to refer us to another clinic as upon exam, our pup needed a specialist and advanced tests that they didn’t have here. They told us where to go and didn’t even charge us. You can tell they really care for the animals above all else.

I can’t thank Dr. Landrum and his staff enough for being so kind and just amazing when my cat came in for a urinary blockage. They made my husband and I feel at ease when we left our cat overnight and they were so great at communicating everything and even sent an update at almost midnight.

This clinic took such good care of our kitty when he was in serious condition. They patiently walked us through what was going on and persevered to get our kitty treated even when he wasn’t being very nice to the staff (sorry!). The price was very reasonable, and they were up front about pricing every step of the way. Thank you all for showing us patience and compassion while we were there - and for helping our dear kitty feel better.

I have used this hospital many times over decades. EVERY visit has been fantastic…even when it is bad news for my animals. Always professional and responsive while providing excellent care at reasonable animal ER prices. In April 2023 I brought my foster pup to them when she had a bowel obstruction. They took her immediately, paged a surgeon, and took perfect care of her. She is now one week post procedure and doing amazing. They will be my only consideration for any future animal ER needs.Thank you
