Friendly staff! After getting our puppy spayed, the vet called us to follow up and see how she was doing which really made us smile.

Dr. Gafford and the staff at Animal Hospital of Sandy Springs are such kind and compassionate care givers. I have had to euthanize two beloved pets and Dr Gafford has such a kind spirit and you can tell how much she loves animals. Thank you for making my fur babies comfortable in their last moments.

I took my dog here due to some allergy issues. The staff and the vet were extremely knowledgeable. I was able to get an appointment scheduled for the next day. There was no wait time. The staff were able to immediately run tests and give me updates. In less than 30 mins, I had updated on the test and treatment plan. My dog was able to get some immediate relief. I will say the costs are pretty high in comparison to other vets. But definitely worth the visit if it is truly an emergency and your pup needs immediate care. This is truly for emergency services.

Spent a small fortune to help my kitty but unfortunately she did not survive despite best efforts. There is no confusion. My cat Bella was there two nights, had a blood transfusion and feeding tube added for fatty liver disease and failure due to when she stopped stopped eating from stress of moving and construction. $7k later, you oughta have a record of it... smh.

I trust this place and the place is very accommodating and kind. However, they will conduct tests without informing you and charge you. Prices are not very cheap but also not very expensive. I would recommend this place.

I have been taking dogs to the Animal Hospital of Sandy Springs for years. Never for anything of a critical nature. This past Saturday morning at 8:11 a.m., I phoned the animal hospital requesting an urgent appointment for that day to bring my dog in.The woman answering the phone heard the reason for the request and told me that it sounded as though it could be a “blockage”, which she said was extremely serious and could be potentially life threatening. Unfortunately, she continued, a thorough examination would be required but because they only work “half-days on Saturdays”, I should probably take my dog to one of the emergency veterinarian clinics in the area, which she proceeded to identify for me.She did not say “bring your dog in and we’ll take a look” or, “this could be serious; we’ll fit him in.” No. She advised only that they “work half-days on Saturdays” and so I should probably take him to an emergency vet.So, I will be finding a new veterinarian. There are several in the area and I no longer trust the Animal Hospital of Sandy Springs to be responsive should a situation arise that needs immediate attention.

where do i start? upon arrival with my dying dogs ( parvo+) she told me ,” choose you favorite.” i was blow away by how are incredibly insensitive and unprofessional she was being. as someone who loves my animals like they are my children and volunteers with animal rescues, i can’t believe how horrible she treated me. she was completely dismissive and treated me and my friend as if we didn’t speak english. in her report she wrote that my second dog was not sick, but she wanted to hospitalize her for more money. This clinic is motivated solely by money and not buy actually helping animals that come in. Be warned before you come into this clinic that they do not care about you or your dog, just your wallet!(Veterinarian: Amanda Slider)

I have fired this veterinarian! My cat Wolffie was very sick and I called them to schedule an emergency exam. The guy I spoke with said they were about to take their lunch break and to take him to Blue Pearl or anywhere else. They could have cared less about my cat! They are oh so nice whenever they aren't about to go to lunch! My cat is fine now and under the care of a Vet who gives excellent service.

BEWARE ALL PERSONS OF COLOR, especially African Americans. A Complete VOID of cultural awareness & sensitivity! Which is astonishing, it's 2022. The various events that have taken place, in the US, in the last two years says enough. The vets & techs are great, hence the 2 stars. The administrative personnel are subpar. Why is it that when you address a person with racist ideals and beliefs in progress, the rebuttal is an excuse to state otherwise? As a person of color, I'm very adept to discrimination. Now, I have been coming to this vet for over a year. However, 11/18/22, Julia/Julie, (whom is the actual office manager) behaved in an offensive, racist, and ignorant manner!! Here's what happened: I completed my appointment and went to put my dog in the car. I did so, in order to check out without the excitement of my dog interrupting. I even asked the vet, if I could place her in my car prior to checking out. She said sure no problem. I walked out to place her in the car, and before I could even close the rear passenger door, a woman yells my last name and says, "you have to pay." The building is set up so, that you literally park directly in front of the hospital. They can see your car and read off your front license plate; if you have one. Keep in mind, when I arrived, I walked inside, and the tech had my room ready with the door open. As, I said, I've been going there for a while. In fact, I believe this was my 5th visit within the year (my fur baby has food allergies, as well as seasonal allergies). Thus, narrowing down the correct protein source for her food, the brand, & treating all the consequences of allergies: itching of the paws, skin, ear infections, steroid injections, oral steroids, etc has been a challenge. Let's just say they saw myself quite a bit. I spent $$$ on food , meds, and visits. So, with the back story out of the way, why did the woman behind the counter, feel the compulsion to get up, come from behind the counter, walk outside, and yell, "I need to pay???" Why didn't she say anything as I was leaving? She clearly saw me and made eye contact. If I wasn't a person of color, I do NOT BELIEVE this would have occurred. It was offensive and embarrassing, it was also done publicly. I have always paid. During Covid, we would wait in our cars, they would come get your fur baby and assess/treat them inside the hospital. When complete, they brought back your fur baby and any meds if necessary. They came back out with invoice, explained treatment and had a portable card reader for you to pay. Now, I never drove off after services & meds were given then, so why would I do it now??? I called back to speak to the manager about the incident, and to my surprise the culprit was in fact, the office manager! I asked to speak to the owners, which are the 2 vets there, and she wanted to know why. She knew it was myself. She then felt the need to justify her actions, (she must've realized she did something VERY wrong and racist). I'm sure she didn't expect anything to occur afterwards. I didn't yell nor cuss or make a scene. She stated, she did it because apparently other clients forget to pay after leaving the exam rooms & attempt to drive off and she was reminding myself to pay. I'm not elderly at all. Try again. I would like to know, who goes into a place of business, receives services, & doesn't expect to pay for said services? I know it's the holidays, but come on, it's not even Christmas time. Now maybe it's the area and maybe she's not accustomed to seeing people of color? maybe it was my outfit and she thought I looked out of place (SERIOUSLY DOUBT IT, joggers, Victoria secret hoodie, a beanie, and Uggs)? I work, have degrees, I'm a veteran, and I own my house, among other things. So where did her wires get crossed, that she acted in such an ignorant manner? I told her I was offended and did not buy her justification at all!!! The owners are supposed to call, haven't heard
