Terrible Experience – Incomplete Renovation & No Communication
I strongly regret hiring Lowes for our kitchen renovation. It has been an entire YEAR since we purchased our kitchen. Not only is the project still incomplete, but we also cannot get in contact with them. They started the work, left things half-done, and then disappeared. We have unfinished cabinets and a mess in our kitchen, making it unusable. Despite multiple calls and emails, we have received no response. They say they will follow up with you weekly and then you don’t hear from them for months. The lack of professionalism and accountability is beyond frustrating. I would never recommend this company to anyone—stay far away!
We also were quoted $10,000 less but Lowe’s wouldn’t take accountability on their measurement errors (a service we paid for.) Tony, Steve, Shaquetta and the other manager we have worked with have not been much help either.
Lastly, they broke our countertops during installation and tried to HIDE IT and not tell us. We had to get corporate involved to come and replace the entire kitchen island because the slab was broken and epoxy’d back together.

Do NOT purchase your appliances from this location. We bought a dishwasher on Jan 13. It took about 20 min to find someone to assist us.
Finally, someone who did not even work in that area helped. He even left to the back office to confirm details that he didn't know. Why didn't the back office question why an employee who did not belong to that department was assisting customers?
The kid made it seem we'd get the dishwasher in the next few days and have it installed as well. This was a Monday.
Thursday comes along, no installation call. Turns out it takes 7 to 10 days for the dishwasher to come into stock and another 2 to set up an appointment.
So, we schedule an appointment Jan 27, install guy comes out, looks below out kitchen sink and says "I can't do the install." What??? "You don't have a standard valve. Didn't lowes give you a list to prepare?" No, they did not. The store told us nothing!
We had 2 weeks were we could have called a plumber and changed the valve!
Lowes in Sandy springs is completely unprofessional and inconsiderate of their customer's time. I will never set foot in that store again and all my business will be at home depot from now on. I've never been impressed with that store, but understood employees were stretched thin. But now I'm just done. Thanks for nothing lowes.

Awful experience ordering a front door. Comedy of errors from Lowe’s making multiple mistakes and not checking their work. Wasted 6 months. Ended up canceling and refunding after 2 times they ordered our door wrong. Despite admitting they messed up, they wouldn’t offer compensation up front. Only asking us to try a third time and THEN if it went right a 3rd time would they tell us what they think is fair compensation. What a joke. Of course we wanted to negotiate and agree on a price BEFORE trusting them a 3rd time with our time and money. Each order takes 2-3 months. Lots of regret going with the cheap option…Lowe’s

There is a useless manager in here name Ayesha. She gave me my first bad interaction after 2years of constant shopping. Tarnished the whole crew.

Charles in Outdoor was an asshole. Much higher prices than HD but better selection on door knobs.

Went to pickup a backsplash, yet the employee said they don't carry it and after showing them that I saw it on the website at this store, they said it was a special order and she didn't know how to get it or order it and walked away.... SERIOUSLY!!! She didn't try to ask another staff member..

Today, I had a frustrating experience at this store. When I tried to check out, I was told I couldn’t purchase damaged bags of topsoil for $1.00, even though a gentleman in the garden section had informed me earlier that I could get a discount based on the amount of soil lost or 10% off, which he confirmed after speaking with Ayesha over the phone. I explained that I had previously purchased damaged bags of topsoil for $1.00 in line with store policy, but the gentleman told me the policy had changed, and he was following the new discount guidelines. When I asked to see this policy, he refused to show it to me.
I then went to the service desk to speak with Ayesha directly and explained the situation just as I had with the gentleman. Unfortunately, her tone was borderline disrespectful. She said the store manager wasn’t available, refused to show me the policy, and declined to offer any discount on the damaged bags. Instead, she told me to speak with the store manager tomorrow, leaving the situation unresolved.
Unfortunately, your response guides me to a useless number. The number you provided is a spin off number. The associate on the other end had no idea how to address this matter or why somebody would provide this number to me. Bad business, and poor communication. It appears to be the culture of the store and the corporation.
The situation persists. I’ve made several attempts to speak directly with the store manager, but it seems the staff is actively preventing that from happening. The 800 number provided in response to my last review feels like a weak attempt to avoid addressing the underlying issues with the store’s culture. Moving forward, I’ll be taking my business elsewhere. I’m deeply disappointed by the behavior of the employees at this location, as well as the inadequate response I’ve received.

I wish there was an option for negative stars. This place sucks. It is no surprise why Home Depot destroys Lowes when it comes to this space of retail home renovation supplies. Unfortunately, HD carries Rheem water heaters, which seem to be awful on reliability these days, and Lowes carries AO Smith. We had a client that has no hot water and needs a new water heater. My technician shows up to Lowes to get one and they don't do phone sales on Sundays. Okay, so we simply placed an order online to where he can go and pick it up. We placed the order and waited about an hour. The plumber shows up the store and the water heater is sitting right there is customer service in plain sight. They refuse to release it to him and make him wait. He goes to eat lunch and comes back. Still won't let him have it. I called the store myself to see what the deal is....as of the time of writing this, I am still on hold with the store for over an hour with no one picking up. I tried to go online to get there customer service to help. Nothing. They told me they would "put in a report" and then never returned despite me providing updates as to the lengths of time I have been on hold and the lack of professionalism by the staff in the store. They were rude to my technician, made him feel very uncomfortable, like he was doing something wrong in wanting to get a WH to help some people. I text him a few minutes ago to let him know that I was still on hold for over an hour and he said, "all those employees I seen in there and not one was on a phone. They were all just sitting around." He said the people that gave him a hard time were Ayesha & Vee. If you have to go to Lowes then you have to but with customer experiences like this, it is no surprise they don't have the business their competitor does.
UPDATE: after an 1 hr 21min on hold they picked up, didn't say anything and immediately hung up. LOSERS that hate their customers.

Normal Lowe's experience no real issues but the only had a couple of the self check out register take cash so even though there was an open one I had to wait for one that took cash. They are self check no extras employees needed they should all take cash.

According to customer service at this store, the return policy has changed and if you don't have a receipt you're s.o.l. I no longer shop Lowe's as a result and go the extra 2 minutes to Home Depot instead. But I sure wish we had Menard's down here in the South.
Edit: tried to return $200 from a $4500 order WITH RECEIPT. But because $850 of the $4500 was paid with a gift card, they absolutely refused to refund my credit card and provided a store credit only FORCING me to shop with them if I'm to get my money out of the situation. Anthony and Chris, the store managers, are gutted of power and cannot even do exceptions.
Did I say NEVER shopping here again?
