Aaron the Maintenance man is amazing. He’s quick to respond and fix issues he’s assigned. Very Friendly and cool dude. Frankie is the best. She is the most responsive and attentive. Always respond to my requests and it is only because of these two I’m staying another year. The building itself is cool. I like when they do community events - i wish more people come out. It’s a chill building overall and people stay to themselves.

I’ve been living here for a over a year now. The Bishop was great when I first moved in and that was before the new management took over. Packages are always getting stolen here and nothing is done about it. My package was stolen from the mailroom 20 mins before i returned back home and they tell me can’t do anything about it because there are literally no cameras anywhere around these buildings. You can only rely on other resident ring cameras. It’s very disheartening this is how their paying residents gets treated here. You would think they would care about their residents and take action about our complaints but nope they don’t. We pay for trash and some days they don’t even come and pick it up. They opened a renter insurance policy for me after I’ve already emailed them proof of the policy I currently have. They don’t care and still charged me $40 for it on top of my rent. They told me the charge would’ve be reserved and it’s going 3 weeks and I haven’t received anything. The Bishop just has gone downhill since new management took over and I won’t be renewing my lease.

Aron and Jamie were a huge help around the Apt with some maintenance tasks like repairing the garbage disposal and fixing ceiling fans. Both were very kind and helpful

I loved the community and I was impressed by the leasing agent knowledge and attention to detail.

I moved out three months ago, but I still haven’t received my security deposit refund. I’ve called several times, and each time the call was disconnected for no reason. I’ve also provided my forwarding address multiple times, but the check has not arrived.

I am writing to express my sincerest gratitude and admiration for the excellent service provided by Joe at The Bishop Apartments. I recently had the pleasure of working with Joe in finding my new apartment and I cannot thank him enough for his exceptional assistance. From the moment I contacted The Bishop, Joe was incredibly helpful and accommodating. He went above and beyond to understand my needs and preferences, and he was able to find the perfect apartment for me in no time. His knowledge of the property and the neighborhood was impressive, and his attention to detail was impeccable.

While The Bishop offers a great location and nice views, the living experience has been much less than adequate. The units feel more like dorm rooms, with thin walls, noisy neighbors, and unexpectedly small spaces that only become apparent after moving in. Residents have dealt with frequent pest issues. The worst pests complaints regarding spiders and snakes, and pest control often takes a week or more to respond. Package theft is very common, and there have been so many car break-ins in the parking decks I’ve lost count.
Security is inadequate, and residents’ concerns are often ignored. The main attraction, the rooftop pool, has been closed for most of the summer. Some residents have also reported unexplained spikes in utilities and despite electricity being included in rent, you are still billed separately by GA Power.
I’ve never had an issue paying rent on time, it would be reasonable for management to address these persistent issues, especially pest control, so residents can enjoy a safe and comfortable living environment. There’s absolutely no reason I should have found a spider in my bed after putting in a request for pest control to come out.

Ever since Equity took over the complex, they changed policies with no communication and zero consideration to the residents. They changed the parking situation where the bottom floor is paid parking and took away guest passes. Now since residents can’t park on the first floor there’s a parking deficit past the gate. I’ve had to park 2-3 floors above on the roof. They also have many reserved spots which they limit who can buy them so there are additional spots where I can’t park.

The ladies in the office were lovely and gave me a great tour experience. The units are clean and overall the community looks great. Only reason I did not apply is because I decided to move to another city. Customer service was 10/10!

The main elevator has been broken for weeks, and the pool is out of commission with no real updates on when it’ll be fixed. What’s most disappointing is the lack of concern from the leasing office—they always come off as uninterested and unhelpful whenever residents bring up these ongoing issues.
The new paid parking rules for guests have made it incredibly difficult to have friends or family visit. There are definitely better ways to manage parking without creating such an inconvenience for residents and their guests. For what we’re paying, the experience just doesn’t match.

I’m living here at the bishop flats here ,it’s a ring camera in the hallway by door 414 ,I’m feeling its invading our privacy here how the camera is placed right in front of exit door . I understand we need camera to protect our home, so I think whoever put this in hallway should place it on the other side or on their door , so we can feel comfortable . Every time I come home and leaving out , I’m looking into a camera. WEIRD.

I've lived in the Bishop Flats since October 2024 and for the most part couldn't be happier. Of course this is just my experience, and I realize others may have have different perspectives. There have been a lot of comments about the fire alarms, but I've only experienced one episode of this back in March. It's possible I just haven't been home for the others, but for me, it's been a non-issue. The building is quiet, and I love the rooftop pool. They recently repainted and recarpeted the hallways, which is nice. My maintenance requests are always handled promptly, usually the same day. Aron and the rest of the maintenance staff is great. The leasing office staff is super friendly and very responsive. I've seen complaints about Valet trash pick up, but I've never had a problem with this myself. Yes, there were some car break-ins a few months ago, but that is a problem literally everywhere in Sandy Springs, and the staff kept us updated with frequent emails about the case. They also improved security in the parking deck, and updated the fob system. The only real complaint I have is that the trash room is DISGUSTING. I will never understand why people leave their nasty garbage in there to rot instead of just putting it down the chute. And the Fetch package service is the absolute worst. I gave up on it months ago and have my packages delivered elsewhere to ensure I receive them (which is obviously not an option for everyone, and I get that's a major inconvenience.).
