I love this little Ace hardware on the south side of Savannah. It's so convenient, always very well stocked, and every member of the staff is friendly. Every time I go there it reminds me of what Savannah used to be and still can be if everybody will just slow down a little bit. There's a misconception about prices being higher at Ace hardware than Home Depot or Lowe's. I find that most of the things I need are actually about the same price and sometimes a little less, plus you can get somebody to help you find what you need really quickly unlike Home Depot or Lowe's, and both of those places are always out of what I need and I have to spend 20 to 30 minutes there just to find that out. I always leave the big box stores feeling disappointed either because of a bad shopping experience due to rude or the lack of store associates, not finding what I need, or their ever increasing prices. Not at Ace hardware! The prices are great and so is their customer service!

I arrived with an intractable problem involving an old 1920s stripped doorknob. I left with a hex set screw and a hex wrench, both suggested by Southside Ace, that solved the problem with minimal cost and effort.

Great service! I walked in the door to find a screw that i was sure i would never find and Cliff greeted me immediately. He took me straight to the screw i needed to match up and I was out of there in less than 5 minutes. highly recommend

Great experience. Very neatly kept store. Organized. Aisles were organized and not in disarray like at Home Depot. Home Depot is a ghetto compared to this store. Great selection of tools and lots of wish list items from Yeti and more. I went for a small item but I will make this my go to store over any of the other big box. The service was great unlike what normally greets you at the big box . Glad I found it.

Always greeted when I walk in. The young lady that works there is very knowledgeable and if not finds someone that is. This is my go to Ace in Savannah.

Honestly was my first time in an Ace hardware store and probably my last. Their set up is ok at best. The costumer service of the younger folk is crazy with their smart mouth; at least help your costumer find the correct bit , goofy child. That little boy in the light blue shirt blonde hair. He has no costumer service skills but I guess you get what you pay for 🙂↔️. The older people were great honestly ; they sent the little child to time out away from the adults until he knows how to be a good little boy.
