Incompetent operation.. Alamo billed me for 3 additional days, $155, and have been unable to resolve, After three calls to Alamo I have yet to receive the promised return call. There was confusion at the airport when I returned the car as it did not scan properly so the associate took a picture of my contract. She indicated that rep at the airport failed to update the contract for a change in vehicle. My advise is to INSIST on a receipt when you return the car so you have proof. Otherwise they will yes you to death and do nothing.

11-16-23/11-19-23Chose this rental as it was part of a travel package purchased through Costco Travel. Very little wait on line until we were assisted. The representative upgraded us to a larger SUV. You get excited until you walk outside and walk to the very last car in the row. It is about a mile down as well. First reaction why are they renting us a filthy car both inside and out? This is a first for me and really sets the tone of the entire driving experience while in the car. You see I don't drive a dirty car at home so why would I pay Alamo to drive in one. On our return when they ask you "was everything ok?" Not really wanting to hear what we had to say. Once we did the representative told us well you should have told them at the counter? So it's our job on vacation to spend it complaining and hopefully correcting something that should have occurred already? You couldn't say anything once inside as no one checks you out either. They give you a key at the counter and at that point you never see another representative again. Terrible customer service as there is little to no one working on site.When you return the vehicle you think they are closed as the bar is down and the red lights are on. Very confusing so we went next door and then someone had to explain to drive up to the red lights and finally the bar will lift.

Robyn Smith made the pick up experience seamless. It was completed in 5 minutes and we were in a great car. She upgraded us because there were 4 of us with luggage and what they had is in wouldn't have much cargo room. The drop off was super, you're greeted with a smile and asked if everything met your expectations. They do their thing and you're on your way.

This was the best experience (by far) I’ve ever had with a car rental. The price was less then I anticipated, the car was spotless and the staff was SO helpful and friendly. I reserved a car online and it took no more then 5 minutes for me to pick up my car.Returning the car was a BREEZE. A kind worker greeted me and I was out in under a minute.( i saw another person complain about drop off location being confusing. You just need to drive past the first lot of drop offs. There are signs now marking it clearly)And special thanks to Hannah for all your help!!! Outstanding service y’all.

From booking, to pick up, to return, everything was all so smooth! Robyn did a great job checking us in quickly and we got an upgrade!! Ally Accordino was so kind and helpful when we dropped our vehicle off at the Savannah /Hilton Head location. Would definitely recommend Alamo!!

The Toyota Corolla was fine and worked as it should. Picking up the car went well. Dropping off the car was a complete pain in the ...At Savannah Airport, there are no visible signs to identify the Alamo drop-off location. We ended up leaving the rental in the wrong spot.We went inside and found the Alamo booth and nobody was there. Lights were off. A small sign on the counter directed us to go to the Enterprise booth to handle Alamo rentals. That assistant informed us we were parked in the wrong area and had to go back out and move the car.It's a good thing we arrived early for our flight. Alamo drop-off was difficult and took way too long.I doubt that we use them again.

My husband and I are moving to Savannah and we traveled there a few weeks ago to hunt for a new home. We had some last minute flight changes, that moved up our car rental time. The only car they had available was compact car despite that fact that we rented an SUV. We tried to be flexible but the car was so small my husband couldn't drive it (his head was touching the roof of the car and he had major blind spots because of how the car was designed. After a day, we took it back to Alamo and began explaining our unique circumstance to see if we could get a different car. Tanya at the counter was AMAZING! Best customer service we could ask for, she helped us get the car we needed and she even upgraded us to a better than what we paid for. What's most important is that she was warm, welcoming and understanding. It reminded my husband and I why we love Savannah so much and are moving there (from PA) in the first place. Thank you, Tanya! Alamo is very lucky to have you :)

Oh my, I still have a bit of PTSD from a SUV that I rented for a Yosemite trip. Consequently, I'm more careful now, I walk around the car and take video footage before driving off and while dropping the vehicle off. I actually smell the inside of the vehicle too, to make sure it doesn't smell funky. Of course, the vehicle ultimately needs to drive well. And this experience at Alamo checked all of those boxes!! So little by little, my confidence in the car rental industry is returning. But I'll never return to that one rental company, And I won't mention any names so that I don't conjure their ire. Any issues with Alamo?? None to be seen across the horizon. The employee was very friendly at the service desk. It was our first time at Savannah/Hilton Head airport and didn't know what to expect. This was nothin like picking up a rental car in Vegas. It was a very smooth and quick process. The car?? Well it was a brand new one and it was an easy pick up and easy return. It's also a very short walk, to and from the airport and the parking lot.

The service of the employees was great. The experience of renting the car and returning with Alamo was awful and I will not rent there again. We travel to the area 2-3 times a year. This lasttime went with Alamo and the car was a much older model and no where near the condition of others from other places.We were just notified via collections nearly 5 months after our return that Alamo wanted money for returning the baby's car seat an hour late. They stated the car seat we had rented was due back an hour EARLIER and were charging us an extra $57.58. They never called, emailed or did anything to try and contact us but a collections agency came after nearing 5 months. What a joke. Will neve work with them again.

Worst experience I‘ve had so far…We booked our car and already paid through the German Alamo website. Now we’re at the Alamo counter for over one hour and being told that their own company!? isn’t able to find our payment. Even though we can show them all of our documents. And instead of trying to help us we’re being told to call the Alamo customer service ourself??Isn’t that what you’re paying your personal at the counter for?Never Alamo again. That’s for sure.Edit: after over 90 minutes we paid over 300$ plus to get the same car…The blonde manager (name tag says Ali) is pretty much the worst person you can put in charge of customer service…

I rented a vehicle in Savannah,GA. Not only did they upgrade me to a better vehicle, but the staff as super friendly and I felt like they actually cared about my experience. It was probably the easiest pickup and return I’ve ever had with a car rental company. Just in and out. I love simplicity. I’ll definitely try Alamo again when I travel.
