Great gym! I was on vacation in Savannah and was able to do a one-week membership at a very reasonable price. The 24-hour access allowed me to get in and out early in the morning before the rest of the family was up. The gym has all the equipment you need and a great old school feel. It wasn’t crowded, and there was a diversity of body types among the people who were there. So as an older and average-build guy, I was very comfortable working out there. If I lived in the area, I would definitely maintain a membership at Alvin’s!

Old School Bodybuilding style gym, straight out of Pumping Iron (1977). Cool atmosphere and staff was extremely welcoming. Will definitely visit again!

ABSOLUTELY LOVE THUS PLACE!!! It's small compared to other gyms, but, it offers everything you need. The atmosphere is always welcoming and friendly. I can't imagine going anywhere else.

I’ve never lifted anywhere else like it. The people here are great, and Alvin’s has all the equipment you need to train. But more importantly, Jenny and David make this place feel like home. No other gym in Savannah deserves your business more than Alvin’s.

Great gym. A real gym. Iron weights with a twist of the new equipment. If you want a real gym then this is the place for you. A serious environment with all age groups with beginners to trophy holding bodybuilding.

Took a minute to get my membership once I got in I was in. I'm not a fan of the mainstream gyms, I prefer the mom and pop style of things and that's exactly what this is. It's a small gym, everything you could possibly need. My only gripe would be the standing cable machines could use some matienance on the pulleys, other then that everything works and it's exactly what you need to build an aesthetic physique. It's $35/month, the day you sign up it's $35 that day no extra bullcrap.

Broken equipment, never staffed, and dirty, I finally got in when an employee was present and they told me i had to wear a mask.

Went for a day pass and was told i have to wear a mask. No thanks, I'm good. Not a hardcore gym like they advertise.

A lot of equipment! My husband and I love this gym. Reasonable membership prices and we like being able to come at any time. Make sure to call ahead (and leave a message) to meet up with the owner if you're hoping to join - their office hours vary. Love supporting a local business. Usually not very crowded. Nice changing room and restroom.
