The Avis process at the Savannah airport is the worst I have experienced. If you have Preferred status, you still have to check in at the counter and then sit and wait for your keys. This took me about 45 minutes to get my car. This is unreasonable.

We had a terrible experience at the Savannah airport Avis. It took over two hours to pick up the vehicle we reserved bc they overbooked. Then after waiting all that time they didn’t have the vehicle we reserved and substituted a much lesser vehicle for the same price bc “supply of vehicles was low.” I would not recommend.

Horrible lines. If you want to wait in line for 1.5hrs then go right ahead and rent from Avis. You need a new system.

Said that they had a car. Charged my card. Then called the next day and said that they didn't have a car. Left me stranded!

This line is the worst I’ve seen. Losing a good part of a short trip at SAV Avis line and we are prechecked!!

Never again. I've been renting from Avis almost weekly for 10 years for work. This place has cars... I've been in line for about an hour and a half. They don't know where their cars are. Missing keys. Can't tell you which car you have. Every person who books they have to call someone to ask. I feel bad for the employees they are all polite but whoever's running this location needs a serious overhaul in... Logistics, or something because no one knows what's going on. I guess the manager told us there would be a 10 minute wait so they can "go get more cars". 45 minutes later they starting checking people in but they still can't find keys..... No management here.

The counter staff and the lot staff are great! THE ISSUE IS MANAGEMENT HIRING AND SCHEDULING MORE PEOPLE!USE HERTZ, ENTERPRISE OR ANY OTHER THAN AVIS UNLESS TOU WANT TO WAIT OVER 2 HOURS TO GET YOUR CAR.To the head management of this avis location. Why on earth do you not care about your customers. You know how many people have reserved cars and you know this is not a one time thing with people waiting to get assigned a car then waiting even longer to get a car. I landed at 3:12 got to the counter by 3:30 to have to wait 20 minutes for the counter to open up because the few people they have in the lot to handle the volume of customers doesn't math out correctly.I finally was able to get into a vehicle at 4:53pm that is unacceptable. And it didn't matter that I was preferred... and it shouldn't. People canceling plans because the wait for the vechicle was so not available.Please treat your employees better and your customers or come here and be on the front line to deal with the dissatisfied customers instead of letting those who can't control it deal with it.

IF I COULD GIVE 0 stars I would!!! This is our THIRD issue with Avis in 6 months. We received a rental car from Savannah airport (not what we chose online even remotely) it was a truck (which is fine). BUT this car had SEVERE Mechanical / electrical issues to the point where the battery would completely shut off on the road WHILE DRIVING! We made it to our Airbnb after using AAA because Avis roadside gave us an estimate of 45 mins - 3 hrs for help………. We were unable to drive the car all weekend, spent a load of money on Ubers because we had an unusable car with NO HELP from Avis. You aren’t able to contact the airport location directly apparently. Totally unacceptable to feel entirely UNSAFE in a car you are relying on.

Understaffed, lack of communication. These days customer service is a minimum in most businesses Car Rental establishments must follow the crowd I suppose.

Lady's at the front desk are efficient and kind but the printers they have to use are terrible and halt them and 20 people have to stand around waiting for keys and the number only keeps growing because they are under staffed
