The free tastings, barrel candy and the flavors used are incredible.Definitely a stop in Every Savannah trip!!Kid-friendliness: I used to take my boys here and let them pick 1 piece of candy for each year of age they were. They loved it and we would go for a “boat” ride on the transfer boat around the Savannah River for free! It is a perfect day with kids!!”

“For someone with a sweet tooth like mine, a visit to River Street Sweets is truly a sugary paradise. The moment I stepped inside, I was drowned in the sweet smell of freshly made candies, and my eyes were dazzled by the colorful array of confections displayed in every corner of the store. With so many choices, it was a delightful challenge to decide which treats to indulge in. I found myself tempted to buy each and every kind. In the end, I bought a box filled with their world-famous pralines and their rich, creamy fudge. Service was friendly and accommodating. “We stopped by this candy store after strolling around town after dinner. There was a big selection of candy here and I’m glad we were able to get a bit of everything. Our baggie of candy only ended up costing a bit over $9 (which I think is a great deal)! We loved how many different candies they had that we’ve never seen before (i.e. the rainbow starfish, 3D pineapple, and 3D Cocktail Drinks).”

“The owner and chocolatier is retired from Godiva, and is constantly coming up with amazing concoctions. Everything in her cottage style shop is outstanding, creative, and delicious. Seasonal favorites abound and are hand wrapped for you as well. I try to visit wherever I'm on Wilmington Island.”

“Currently enjoying the best caramel apple I have ever had! The caramel is so fresh and the apple is perfectly juicy & tart. Visiting area, rainy day had us at the mall. Walked in just to browse. Walked out with the caramel apple and 3 chocolate bunnies since we are here for Easter.Love a candy place where they make the candy fresh in the store. “They were nice and friendly. I was looking for a lot of "old school" candy and they did not have a lot to choose from. I wanted some Fun Dips, lemonheads, Boston Baked Beans, Now and Laters, Blow pops, but they only had "new school" flavored Lemonheads and Now and Laters. 😄 They still offered a variety of other good items, just not exactly what I was looking for.”
