The Chatham County Aquatic Center is a very large indoor public swimming facility with tons of seating and plenty of space. It is a great swimming facility for teams, family, and personal swimming with a top-notch pool and a variety of lanes. The staff are very nice, fantastic, dedicated, and adept. The locker rooms and showers are basic and can be crowded, with water that doesn't get hot and very little water comes out. It is a much-needed venue in the area, though visitors should check for swim meets as it can become very unorganized, with limited announcements for closing. There is a fee to swim, with options for a one-time visit or a membership.
