Excellent experience from the time I walked in. T helped me find the perfect pair of leather sneakers and was incredibly knowledgable about footwear.. she’s like a shoe sommelier. Great historical family owned shoe store.

While walking through Savannah my sandal had broken so I stopped into this shoe store. It was my last resort as it was the closest shoe store I could get to barefoot while the sidewalks were scorching hot from the sun. I walk in and I am immediately judged by an employee. He asks how I’m doing and I jokingly say not well while holding up my broken sandal to ease the awkwardness that came from his judgement. He continued to look me up and down and did not bother to ask if he could point me in the right direction. He hovers over me as I look for a shoe and once I found one I ask him for a size. He brings me the shoe, pulls over a sizing bench to sit on in right in front of me and has me try on the shoe in front of him. I then proceed to ask how much they were and he tells me they were $150. Then I ask if he had just any cheap sandals, he sighs in frustration and pulls out the most uncomfortable sandal and says they're $65. I politely decline and tell him they’re not comfortable and have a lot of walking to do today. He sighs in frustration again and just starts handing me a bunch of random sandals to try on. Most of them were too small I couldn’t even get my foot into them. Figures because they’re all European shoes so sizing runs small.A woman who I believe is the owner notices and starts handing me shoes as well. For each shoe they were complimenting me, telling me they match my outfit, how “comfortable” they are, and all the staff surround me chiming in. Finally I try on a pair that actually fits and I ask how much they were and he looks back at the owner and she says “they’re $130 but for the girl in the pretty dress they’re $65”. I at this point felt there was no other option and say I’ll take them. Can’t make it far without a pair of shoes anyway.I go to checkout and the judgemental guy rings me up, scans the box and doesn’t type in any discount or anything. But yet somehow my total was $65. At this point I realized they played me into saying yes to the shoes by offering a supposed discount. Which at this point I’ve already committed to the bit and had the shoes one. Then continues to be rude during small talk.Him: “Where are you from”Me: “New Jersey”Him: “I have an uncle that lives in New Jersey, i grew up going to the beach there”Me: “Yes, it’s nice being so close to the beach, I just wish the water was more blue instead of brown. How’s the water here?” (my attempt to say something funny to ease his attitude)Him: “yeah well it’s where you live” he says judgmentallyAt this point I really should’ve just walked out without the shoes but I was in desperate need with how hot the sidewalks were. Only to walk out and find Half Moon outfitters next door with cheap sandals…it was such a frustrating experience that even going back to be spiteful and return the shoes was more than I could handle.I hate pulling this card but as someone who has worked in sales, manages my own shop, and has been in the retail industry for years; To take advantage of someone in desperate need was cruel and just shows how desperate this establishment is to make a sale. If they didn’t judge me and exploit my circumstances I wouldn’t have mind purchasing from them. But like every other review says, you’re judged as soon as you walk in, the employees are all rude, and at the end of the day the shoes were so uncomfortable I ended up getting a different pair from a different store.Save your integrity and time and don’t support this establishment.

The service my friend and I received from T was absolutely top notch. Her eager to please attitude is so contagious. Would absolutely recommend this store to anyone.

The worst communication I ever had with a shop. I called for a specific product in a specific color. I even mentioned the color twice to make sure is what I was looking for before I jump to the shop and buy it. The seller on the phone said twice that is the correct product so I ended up going there to buy it and is the wrong color and they didn’t have the one I wanted. This made me lose gas and time plus a paid parking spot because of the location. As a shoe shop in one of the most popular shopping streets in Savannah, I think you can do better.

Beautiful shoes in the window caught our eyes, so we entered to try them on. Some prices are really high in the $300-$500 range, so I put those down really quick. Several on the sale rack in the back were still $200 after discount. A few beautiful options were just over $100. Overall, it's not a cheap shoe store. We fell in love with a pair of Jeffrey campbell bow sandals and brought them home. (See picture). The yellow sorel's also caught our eye but didn't fit just right. I loved the jeffrey campbell shoes and couldn't find them available online, so we bought them here. I did hesitate because the shoe salesmen were not the kindest. One said to the other that their time was being wasted and they weren't going to sell a pair of shoes, so the person should be asked to leave. They also used catch phrases to try to get you to buy a shoe. I get it; They're salespeople, but kindness goes a long way. I like to support good business, and if these shoes were available elsewhere, I would've bought them there instead.

I had the best experience ever while shopping with Alex Bailey at Globe Shoe Company. He was very knowledgeable, and courteous. Thank you for having someone of his caliber on your staff. I will definitely go back the next time I visit Savannah. Great selection of shoes and many other great accessories!

Fabulous selection of high quality shoes with superior service! I felt I’d stepped back in time when full service was standard. The Italian boots I purchased are my faves and the most comfortable I’ve owned!

My boyfriend and I stopped in here looking for a new pair of sneakers.T immediately greeted us upon arrival and helped us both find shoes we loved. She took the time to make sure we were happy with the shoes we picked out and made great conversation with us the whole time. She is such a kind soul. She provided a lovely experience that we will always remember! They treat you like family here! You don’t see this kind of customer service too often anymore.

My friend and I visited this store when we were in Savannah. I love shoes and can afford to buy good ones. However, when I asked if the store carried wide shoes for ladies, a salesperson told me in a condescending way that We specialize in regular and narrow width shoes. Really you specialize in regular width shoes? That's not specializing! He obviously did not want my business. So don't bother with this place if you are a lady with wide feet.

My experience at Globe Shoe on Broughton Street was terrific, thanks to Ruby. I needed On Cloud tennis shoes for my wife, and Ruby was fantastic in helping me pick the perfect pair. She knows her products well, takes customer needs seriously, and has a warm, professional demeanor. I highly recommend her for a seamless, personalized shopping experience. It’s a solid five-star service!

Was in town on vacation with my wife. Stopped in because we saw a great collection of on On Cloud sneakers in the window and I wanted to see what the fuss was about. The salesperson was very knowledgeable and had me try on several pairs and new which ones I would pick before I even tried them on based on the info I gave her. My wife and I ended up eating getting a pair and then we came back the next day and my sister got a pair as well. This was an experience you don't see anymore when shopping.

Entered the store, and my mom and I were met with rude employees and or owner. They looked us up and down in a distateful manner and kept staring as we browsed shoes. Although some shoes seemed nice and worth trying on, the entire vibe and experience were a turn off and I have no interest in giving my money to a place that doesn't value its customers.

Was visiting Savannah with cousin and friends and stopped by the store. Not only was the selection great but the customer service was incredible. I left my phone in the Uber and had no way of contacting them. The sales associate lent me her phone and help me contact Uber directly and as a result I was able to retrieve my phone. Ended up buying shoes and a purse and I will buy shoes whenever I’m in town. Thank you for your kindness.

Simply the finest shoe store I have ever been to. The selection is unlike any I’ve ever experienced! I loved every single shoe on display, and that’s no exaggeration.
