This company refused to use my higher credit score and used my husband's lower score instead which in turn a higher interest rate! Glad I was able to refinance right after closing and got that 2% interest rate we deserved!

On their website their CEO Mary Ann McGarry says " We want to serve you for the entire life of the loan." It's a LIE. You have been warned. Mortgage process was easy enough. HOWEVER, trying to get someone on the phone after you process your mortgage is proving difficult. We've had our mortgage one year, and the first time I've tried to reach a live person is just ridiculous! I've been on hold for 30 minutes now and NOTHING; just pending music with no person to help me despite the automated voice saying I'm next in queue (for over 20 minutes). They may offer you a live person and friendly service to get your business, but then you are left with automated prompts, indefinite wait times (as if you have nothing better to do with your day than wait for someone to finally pick up), and lackluster service at best. At this point, we have two phones going and both are on never-ending holds! I do not recommend Guild Mortgage Company!

If you want a loan officer that hangs up on you........Then please call Barbara Detwiler in the Savannah office. If you want a manager that laughs regarding an employee hanging up on you.....Then you need to call Brenda the Branch Manager. Does the local college have a course on how to be nice to people. Does the local pharmacy have nice pills.

So happy that we were referred to the ladies at Guild Mortgage. They were so helpful every step of the way! Especially Rachel and Jordyn, who answered our millions of questions in a timely manner!

Guild mortgage assisted me in the purchase of my previous and current homes. I have never had such an outstanding experience with any type of service in any facet. Tonya Hathaway Fielded our calls Or responded right away. Her staff was courteous informative, and helpful. I am grateful for the way they made my house buying experiences very easy. The company is outstanding.

Had the horrible pleasure of speaking with Rachel Bowers today, if her attitude represents this company, I would seek a new employee. The unnecessary attitude would work better at McDonald’s, not a mortgage company.

I have been through the purchase process between homes and businesses a half dozen times. Guild mortgage did a fantastic job and made the process straight forward and painless. Alison Selman was the loan officer, and she was incredible. Thank you so much for making everything so smooth. Savannah Georgia is lucky to host such a qualified company. Thanks again Alison!!!
