I was not prepared for what Jere's had to offer. There is SO much furniture in this warehouse. More than you expect. Think about a lot of furniture, now double that. So much. I met Jere. He introduced himself and then disappeared into the stacks of dressers. Somewhere. Time lost meaning. He wore suspenders and a newsie hat. I have no further details. I'm going to advise this: only go here if you have something in mind. Don't go to browse. I'm pretty slim and I think if I wore an additional 50lbs, I would not be able to navigate. There is a LOT of furniture here.

This warehouse is so tightly packed it's insane! It's a total fire trap in there. There's a lot of damage to the roof that's allowing debris to fall on a lot of the furniture in there, damaging it. Even the damaged furniture is priced at thousands of dollars! High prices and danger around every corner. The fire marshal needs to pay this plane a visit.

Huge collection of furniture. Building is simply too tightly packed. I kept thinking it's a fire trap, really. Barely 18 inch aisle space in most areas, forcing you to shuffle sideways. You cannot get a good view of most items.Prices seem very high, but I do not know the price of antique furniture. Maybe they are all worth it. Smallest nightstands were $700 to $850. Large chests as high is tens of thousands of dollars. Ouch!! Most seemed in need of repairs. They do offer shipping services, but the prices were so high I did not feel I could negotiate to my perceived price points.NOTE: DO NOT GO DOWN TO RIVER WALK TO GET HERE. They are on the upper street.I know this is a well-respected merchant in Savannah. But the novelty wore off as claustrophic feelings set in. And I'm NOT claustrophobic.

What a treasure trove! It can be overwhelming but the thrill of the hunt is worth it. Prices are very reasonable and Jere was most helpful, informative and interesting and Vicki was as nice as she could be.I purchased a number of great things and look forward to returning again and again. Thank you Jere!

I would say for an antique store with such a high rating i was shocked at the amount of damaged and well worn antiques and still carrying such a high asking price. I guess that would account for their shipping costs, two 40’ containers per month/ so. They have SO SO much stock - time to clean up.The warehouse is precarious at best when walking through. But for being a well established southern retailer i can say with experience that the owner/manager does not display southern charm. Wow she can be rude!! For a person as seasoned as her i would have expected more display of manners and charm. But business is business and social charms are not always required.

Cool place with lots of antique pieces. Strange vibe from the staff, however. Vicky was very welcoming at first, but it became an odd experience quickly as she seemed to follow myself and two other people in my group around the store as we tried to walk around. It was very awkward. Attempting at small talk I asked how they acquired such a large collection, I had thrown out “donations?” as a possibility - I’m a museum professional who works with collections, it was an honest question as we receive tons of rare and historic items via donation. Vicky responds, “ma’am this is not a goodwill.” That much was obvious, and she wasn’t very kind. Safe to say my group and I were less than enthused.

It is true that Jere's has wonderful array of antiques. I went into Jere's with my nephew who visiting Savannah, after speaking highly of the showroom. We really enjoyed our walk around the store and found numerous items of interest. As I was doing my final walk through, I noticed a couple of pieces unmarked (I was highly interested in and still am), so I took a photo of them and found a staff member. As I approached, he greeted me and asked if he could help me and my nephew. I greeted him and smiled and showed him the photograph and asked about the price. He turned to an older man to get the price. This older man "sharply" said, "they are $850, I am not going any lower so don't ask me" and then walked away. I thanked the man who had initially assisted me and left the store.

This place is HUGE and is packed from floor to ceiling with unique antique furniture and decor from different parts of the world. Whether you're looking for a china cabinet, a desk, dining chairs, or a full bar, you can find it here! If you have a question about something, or can't find what you're looking for, just ask Jere. He's happy to help. This is a MUST-SEE for Antique enthusiasts and decorators.

This place is gigantic, and absolutely packed with antiques, primarily wooden furniture. You can get lost in here, and find some of the most interesting and unusual things. The staff is very friendly and willing to help. It's a little tricky to get around at times, because there is so much stuff, as well as some stairs that lead to more areas to explore. You'll find all kinds of things here and enjoy yourself just looking.

If you are in the market for, or just like browsing antique tables, dressers and other wood furniture, this is a must see. Jere's is full of thousands of pieces of antique furniture. Grandfather clocks, kitchen sets, gorgeous bars, magazine racks, a full floor dedicated to chairs, and more. Three stories of furniture! But that's pretty much it. If you aren't in the market for furniture, then this is probably not your stop.As for atmosphere, the floor is all jacked up, so watch your step. And mold is definitely a factor in parts of the building, so if you have mold sensitivities, best not to go. Staff is very interactive. Very nice, but one was super chatty and we just wanted to browse at our own pace without feeling like someone else was tagging along.Pricing erred on the high side, but we were told prices are negotiable. Prices did seem consistent for like items, so that's always good to see.

Last time we visited here, there was a lot of junk in the warehouse.....it looked like the furniture was ready to sell at a yard sale. Broken, scratched, etc. Just not quality furniture. The owner needs to retire and get a better attitude! We won't be back!

Bought a grandfather clock while my husband and i were on our honeymoon here in May. Came back this weekend to pick it up. This place is a treasure trove! There are so many pretties in here that I would love to be able to afford to take home. I will certainly have to come back again the next time I'm in Savannah.

We LOVE this place and have several pieces of furniture from this store in our home. I have never seen another place like it. The inventory is incredible and the owner, Jere, is so helpful and very knowledgeable about his antiques from his years of experience. Vicky is very friendly and helpful as well. You must see this place. You won't be disappointed!

Great selection of 19th Century European antique furniture. Very friendly staff. Prices were fair considering the location is the heart of the tourist district so you're going to pay a bit of a premium for that convenience.By far the best antique store in Charleston I visited.
