They closed 3 hours early on a Saturday and the only thing to let you know what a price of paper taped on the door. Came back the next day only for it be out of stock, and the lady was rude when I asked her to point me in the right direction! There are only two workers there, and then they weren’t even at the register nor the cutter. Only reason I come is there is nowhere else to go

if joann was a person she would be appalled by the rude ass service at this joann's. as a former employee i had to study the handbook and the way that i and my friend were treated was so against policy. i don't care that you are understaffed that does not give you the right to be OPENLY rude to your customers. i was verbally harassed in this joanns. left crying. you should all be ashamed of your actions.

Online it said they closed at 9pm so I went at 7pm to get something I really needed. The door was locked and the parking lot was empty. Not to mention the door also said 9pm. Really sucked… I needed something in a hurry and they closed early with no signs. Maybe they are short staffed- but still inconvenient.

I would give negative stars if I could. Total nightmare. I ordered something for in store pick up yesterday. I went the next day for pick up and the ladies that worked there said I would need to drive back home (50 miles away in Beaufort) and come back later because “it is too early to unpack the shipment boxes in the back to retrieve your items”. I actually thought she was joking at first.. but she wasn’t.

I love to sew and Joan's is my go to store to get my projects' done. I am really disappointed with the customer service here. I went to get sewing patterns from new fall season when patterns were on sale 10/14/2023. This new fall selections were not on the floor yet although it has been out for 3 weeks. I ask the lady at cutting fabric station if i can go through a box of new patterns they had sitting on the counter and she stated rudely "No, you can get what is on the drawers." I explained I was looking for the new seasons and that they must be on the box because it was not on drawers. She said "I don't have time for you, I am cutting fabrics" and continue. I took a number for the cutting fabric counter to have her attention and have her see trough the box with me. The new selection was not on that box and I asked her for the new Know me Patterns as this new season, she responded.. " It should be in the back on another box but I don't have time to go there as we are short on staff, you will have to come tomorrow" I explained I was there now, and ask for a rain check for the patters as the sale was ending that day. She said she was not sure she can do that and i asked for the manager and turns out she was the manager!! Her name is Liz. She walked away and called the next number!! I was so frustrated! I went to the front and aske the cashier if someone would be able to get the other pattern box from the back, after a while (25 minutes) the box was at the cutting counter and Ms Liz was totally rude demanding and explaining rules before allowed me to open the box. How to search for them, how to put them back and not moving anything else. I finally searched and found the patterns I was looking for and continue looking through the box, she came back and asked "I thought you just needed the Know Me patters, why are you looking at McCalls? I couldn't understand this lady! I felt as if I was not wanted there, and as if i was bothering Mrs Liz! I have been a customer shopping at Joann's for years and this store specially this manager Ms Liz is very rude and provides the worst customer service EVER!!!

This is more of a general complaint against the entire business. I ordered a craft table online, and it was shipped to me already damaged. I doubt the damage happened enroute, because the sides and corners were protected with multiple layers of styrofoam, corner braces, cardboard and more corner braces. When I opened it, after removing the last small corner brace, there I saw the damage. The rest of the table was in perfect condition. The table must have been packaged this way. So I manage to shove this table into my tiny fiat after about an hour of maneuvering, and driving it to a store where we again had to tetris it to remove it from my car. There, I received a gift card from the woman who was clearly being trained, but it all looked good and fine to me. The card she said could be used online or in store. So I call customer service to place the order again, because I could not reorder the item at the same discounted price online. The store didn't even carry craft tables and if they did this would have been a much better option for me. So I call customer service on multiple occasions, they say their ordering department is having issues and to try back the next day. I called and called and finally decided to wait a week because I was getting nowhere with them. So today I call again and provide my order information. The guy says "oh this gift card can only be used in store", and I begin to tell him of the saga of events and how it was clearly the clerk's mistake, as the card is for the same exact price as the table. He demands that I send an email with a picture of the receipt I had for the gift card. Who even keeps receipts like this? So while driving I rummage around and find the receipt on the floor of my car. I send the picture and he says, "well we can't place your order today, because we have to cancel your store card and then after 2 business days we can send you an online card and you can reorder it by calling customer service".... like are you effing kidding me??? It has been a month and still no craft table. still depending on incompetent business associates. Still spending my small amount of free time outside my 8-5 M-F work obligations to literally not get anything done. This business sucks ass.

We were at store #1021 Savannah, Georgia store , 7400 Abercorn St. 5/28/2023. We had our alligater leather/vinyl - 6 yds at the cut table to be told after waiting in line forever that she now is closed and no more cuts that night. I had enough time while the husband stood in that line to pick out about a yrs worth of beads for braclets ....... Did the girl at the cut line just really sterio typed my biker looking husband ??? As I stood there with my full basket of beads asking him where the vinal was and looking at his disappointed face, she reopened the cut line to a guy whos purse matched his lipstick . Yes, I said something to her and was ignored as she cut Mr Pink hair flowery material. P.S. you'll find the beads in yarn where I dumped them . You lost a good sale and a customer.

I went in, just to check things out. Very good selection on various crafts. Gave me several ideas to think about. When my next DIY crafting agenda comes up I'm definitely coming back here!

Store 1021 absolutely has the best customer service! I visited the store December 27 and was helped by a young lady (whose name I regretted not getting). She stopped what she was doing to go to the back to check on an item. Was told that item was in; but under a lot of other stock and would be on the shelf the next day. Went back two days later, it wasn’t stocked as they were behind but cashier 825506 also stopped what she was doing to go back to confirm they were backed up in stocking the shelves. She was finally able to find and bring the 2 items I needed . Great customer service!

Overall I have a good experience with coming to this store. I have had a cashier who's had a bit of an attitude and poor customer service.

Purchased a Singer Sewing Machine here, brought it home and it had a broken piece around the bobber attachment. I took it back to the store and they charged me 10% to exchange for a working machine. I have not stepped foot back in there since, and that was 6 months ago.

Very friendly staff but have had issues finding basic items. I’m a jeweler and sometimes need a last minute item like wire or findings their selection is not a very good quality
