I couldn't make this up if I tried.Last year my daughter bought me a necklace for Christmas I put on that morning as soon as she gifted it to me not even an hour later I was standing in mirror doing my makeup and it just fell in sink. Took it to them the day after and was denied getting it fixed. Fast forward to this Christmas as in today not even 30 min ago my husband gifted me a bracelet from them, and when he went to put it on me and it's broke it was only held together by the hinge of the clasp. Like wth I'm starting to see that their jewelry is garbage. I use to love Kay's and 2 Christmas in a row they have been a disappointment. My Husband is pissed!!!!! Didn't even get to wear it

I purchased a silver claddagh ring with an amethyst in it in memory of a loved one who passed a few days before. I only wore it twice to work (I work in an office and am not tough on my jewelry) the stone fell out and I couldn't find it. I chatted with customer support online who said I have to go to the store and could refund it or repair it since it's been 30 days since the purchase.I get to the store and the employees all day this is false and encouraged me to call customer support. I got on the phone with customer support and one of the employees kept asking me irrelevant questions while I was trying to listen to the menu (like, where do you work?). I was visibly upset and obviously trying to listen to the phone. I think she was being very rude. I didn't curse at her or insult her, I have the right to be frustrated after being told I should come here for help. The rest of the time she was being rude and petty but I excused it since after a while the lack of maturity was evident.After all that I must say that kay jewelers has bad quality jewelry. The employee at the store said that their policy changed two days before I had purchased the ring so I can't return it without the stone. My guess is they had to change it due to so many people who NEEDED to take advantage of returning low quality items that broke within 30 days? They might have been losing too much money. Well, that was definitely my case.She said if I purchased their warranty they could replace the stone and fix it. I refused because of their products and craftsmanship is this low it wouldn't be worth it. Would I insure a piece of garbage? No, it wouldn't make sense. I'm taking it to my friend who is a REAL and skilled at this. Now I know spending more money is worth it in the end.
