Thank you, Max, for a wonderful tour. While I have not seen the movie, the tour was fascinating nonetheless. I was disappointed that pictures were not allowed, but I understand because someone still lives there. This is a shorter tour, about 45 mins, consisting of only the first floor. There are some really cool pictures, paintings, and pieces of art that are worth seeing.

Great for historical buffs, not so great for paranormal fans. The tour guide strictly talks history. No photos allowed and it's back-to-back tours which gives little time for each guest to absorb and appreciate the art/atmosphere before being rushed off to the next room. You can only view downstairs since the owners still reside there. If you like looking at old antiques and want a quick tour, go for it. If you're interested in the ghost side of the home, maybe just admire it from the outside and save your money.

Love the house and history. The tacky, overcrowded gift shop is a travesty. There's obviously items bought and used by the current occupant(s) that are then sold in the shop. These items have generic price labels from a printerand are easily distinguishable from the regular stock. The items directly from the manufacturer have typical price tags and labels. There's a lot of cheap junk in there for people to buy. Jim Williams would be absolutely mortified at the items in there.

Visited the museum over Halloween weekend (10/29). Blair gave the tour and I must say, he was AMAZING! So knowledgeable of the history of the home, the architecture, and furnishings of Mercer-Williams House. I had my kiddo with me and he made her feel included and so welcomed. We had such a lovely time. Blair was absolutely the best guide and we really lucked out!For those who are visiting for the first time - I recommend the gift shop. They have some cool unique curated items. We got some beautiful candles and vintage-like perfume bottles. The man and woman managing the gift shop were absolutely lovely as well, with great style. Just all around a great experience for our first trip to Savannah. Thank you!

A great inside look at Jim Willams Art collection. The Mercer House tour in Savannah is a feast for the eyes and the soul! Our knowledgeable guide, who had personal ties to Jim Williams’ niece residing upstairs, escorted us through this majestic home. Among the numerous antiques, three artworks were particularly enthralling: the “Man in Black,” whose mysterious aura is complemented by its counterpart “Lady in White” displayed in a museum; a stunning 17th-century Italian landscape painting, and the “Bird Girl” statue replica, an iconic symbol of Savannah’s charm, standing gracefully as if keeping secrets of the old house. There are also some fun facts about Jim like the gentleman’s bathroom he added to the first floor in the 70’s This 30-minute journey through art and history and the history of the house that no Mercer ever lived.

Very interesting, short tour. Only 35 minutes long and only of the garden & the rooms on the first floor. But very excellent guide who could answer any question about any of the architectural features and the wonderful antiques. Well versed in the lives of the Williams family and their history. Well worth taking your time to do while in Savannah.Only exterior photos posted here because they do not allow pictures to be taken inside the house or garden.

Definetly not worth the money! We only saw 4 rooms and a courtyard. I am sure that lovers of the book and movie would appreciate it more but if you are looking to see a restored house in Savanah pick some where else. It also didn't help that at the end of the tour, the guide told us that our money was going to pay for the insurance of all the priceless items inside the house that we couldn't see. Disappointing

The Mercer-Williams House Museum made famous by the book "Midnight in the Garden of Good and Evil," is a lovely home designed by a NY architect and completed in 1868. Sadly, no one from the Mercer family ever lived there; however, Jim Williams purchased the home in 1969 and began a two-year restoration. The Williams family still owns the home and live there. The incredible first floor and garden are open to the public for tours; however, photos are prohibited. Most of the furniture and art were part of Williams' private collection. He was a master restorer and is credited with saving more than 50 houses in the area.

On our last trip to Savannah we toured several museums, and the Mercer Williams House was by far our favorite. Our tour guide was amazing, he was very knowledgeable and I have to say I left with a great wealth of knowledge for the home, the family, and the history of the area.

Our visit at Mercer House was absolutely amazing. The guide was extremely knowleadgeable and personable. He had a very enganging way to talk and explain which is what made us excited to learn about everything in this house. I would go again, and would definitely recommend. My fiancèe said it was one of the best touristic experiences he has had.

Loved this tour! We had Grady as our tour guide and he was so knowledgeable and all around interesting to listen to. The house is beautiful and hearing the history is cool. You are not allowed to take photos which I personally was okay because the tour was so interesting. Also, they offer military and student discounts which is a plus!

My dad and I toured the Mercer Williams home and we agreed that our tour guide was the best tour guide we've ever had. He was so friendly, informative and a good story teller.
