Try and get someone on the phone after you order your pod. Good luck. takes days to get an answer via email. I think I had to email the same instructions 4 or 5 times before they understood what I was looking for. The gentleman in charge of the deliveries and pickups was great to deal with. All in all, I would use them again now I know how to manipulate the system. gets frustrating at times, but the units were clean and looked pretty new.

Authoritative enabled Customer service is lacking at or near delivery. Long waits to be told they can't really help. No way to quickly have a major problem resolved. The people who could fix things are lurking in the background, and unavailable at crunch time.POD'S refuses to let you contact your local distribution center. Had to travel a long distance to resolve the issue myself at the crack of dawn. Luckily, a temporary manager got me my POD after being cancelled late at night the day before origin delivery. Instead of the timeframe promised, it was just before dark. Not blaming the local manager for that. No one could explain why I was cancelled last minute after being fully paid up and reserving 3 months in advance. I suspect they just over promise knowing they probably can't consistently deliver.Paid more than my original quote and when a complaint specialist finally got involved, way too late, had no luck resolving my lost income to hired hands having to stand around.My suggestion is to shop around and find out where the local distribution center is located near you and check them out as much as possible.

Very well organized service. We moved from a townhouse in Naples, Florida to a single family home in South Carolina. The driveway in Naples was shared. The PODS had to be delivered one by one. We used two 16' PODS. As soon as one POD was filled the next one came. Conversely, the two PODS had to be delivered at the same time in South Carolina and arranged so they could be accessed. It was no small feat. Every driver I had the pleasure of meeting was very skilled, very polite and helpful.The cost, including the gentleman we hired to load and unload the PODS was less than half the cost of a moving company. I highly recommend using PODS.

Have been having the worst experience with PODS. They were supposed to deliver our POD on a Friday so my husband and friends could move everything into it, I’m pregnant and can’t help currently. They didn’t deliver till Monday and our elderly parents had to help us move things. Then they never time stamped the delivery, so it is not being scheduled to pick up. We sold our home today and this POD is still sitting in the driveway. They are putting us in breach of our sale. Every time we call in they have no answers, no solutions. WORST customer service. We will not recommend or refer PODS to anyone. If I could put zero stars I would.

I should have used PODS on my other moves! It worked out great with my schedule. Didn't have to worry about driving a huge moving van. Just Load it...lock it...and go!

I’ve used PODS for four major long distance moves since 2015. I know how the process works, have dealt with different locations all over the US. With that being said, this particular location in Savannah has security issues. I needed to access my pod. They pulled it out of the warehouse and during the course of the day, MY LOCK WAS CUT AND REMOVED. My pod was opened and no employee knew what happened. When I got there they issued me a new lock for free but told me the whole warehouse had been unlocked FOR TWO DAYS. One of the things I love about PODS versus other container companies is the security. This completely changed my thinking. I think it’s a rare occurrence for this to happen but when you spend $23,000 of your hard earned 2023 money on moving and your items aren’t secure, it’s time to reevaluate.

Never again will I use PODS Moving & Storage!!!! I am beyond frustrated with this company!!! When I originally ordered my PODS container, the agent told me she would make a note on my account so the container would be transferred to Savannah, GA automatically so that I could just call to have it delivered to the destination when I was ready for it. They picked it up July 1st from our sold house in West Sacramento, CA. We started the drive across country on Monday, July 3rd. My account on the PODS website didn't show any new information so I assumed it was in transit across the country. On July 5th, it still showed no change so I called PODS (took just over 40 minutes of sitting on hold) to try to schedule the delivery at the final destination. I was hoping for delivery July 8th or 10th. I was told that the container was still in the warehouse in Sacramento. There was nothing in my account saying to start the transfer to Savannah. He told me the soonest it could go would be July 19th but he put a note in my account requesting an earlier transfer date. I got an email the next day saying it would start the journey on July 11th. At this time it would not allow me to schedule a final delivery date. We arrived at our destination July 7th. I called back at exactly 8 am on July 10th when they opened and got an agent fairly quickly. The soonest available date for final delivery was July 22 but I was told they would again, put a note requesting an earlier delivery. I was told I should call once the container arrives at the warehouse in Savannah. The container finally arrived sometime Saturday July 15th. Sunday they are closed. I called this morning at 8:15. The estimated hold time was 8 minutes. I was on hold for approximately 42 minutes until I got an agent. She took all of my information and said she was looking up my account when our call was disconnected. I was hoping she would call me back since she had my account info and phone number but I guess that is asking too much. So at this point, I have been at my destination 10 days without my stuff and it will be 5 more days before it arrives. The empty container can not be picked up until July 29th which puts me 3 days over my 1 month rental time. I was told they would not charge me for a second month but at this point, I don't know what to believe. Everyone I have spoke with on the phone has been super nice BUT the customer serivce is horrible. They need more employees because the hold times are way too long. The online "chat with an agent" feature never seems to have an agent available. They make it very difficult to schedule delivery days if you don't live in a big city. (My new area only has Wednesdays and Saturdays available for deliveries and they fill up far in advance). To say I'm disappointed is an understatement. I can't believe Dave Ramsey recommends this company.

The good, the bad, the ugly....The good- clean, quality units, bigger than most competitors. 5 star drivers!The bad- over seas customer service did a horrible job. Were told several times, "sorry, I cannot help you"....The ugly- once delivered, we found out they were scheduled out 2 weeks for pickup and delivery, then another 2 weeks to return after emptied!Great concept, terrible customer service!

We loved using PODS! The workers were friendly and professional. They always showed up within the time frame and gave us a call in advance. Such great service, and will definitely use them again!

Do not use this company. They will schedule a drop off and pick up and then cancel the pick up and leave the pod in your driveway till it’s convenient for them to pick it up. I now have to have this pod in my driveway for two weeks and they refuse to rectify the situation. Who knows when they will actually got it. But I can no longer use my driveway or my garage.

I was completely happy with my Pod experience. I will recommend them to other people. Packing and storing in the same container is so helpful. I didn't have any issues with bugs after two years of storage. That was really nice.

Horrible experience. I'm in the military and have about 14 moves. Using pods is rated the absolute worst. We needed two pods and got one delivered since space was limited and set up the second for a later date. Could not get any confirmation on date and time. To call pods (which I did 5 times) the shortest wait is over an hour to talk to someone. Yet to call to set up move is 5 min to talk with someone. Once they have your stuff you wait a long time. We got told a different story on our pod with each call. One call I waited 1 hour 30 minute only to get someone to who hung up (presumably accidentally but...). Don't use pods. I'm still trying ing to get my pod

Container came with moths and customer service said that they are covered per the contract I signed, so any damage is the risk you assume.We rented a container to store everything we could fit in there from our garage during our garage remodel project. We noticed a few flying moths when the container was dropped off, but I blew it out with my yard blower and didn’t think much more about it.Two months later we unloaded it and noticed larve in the creases of the fabric items such as camp chairs, on items that were in boxes not taped shut, and under the lip of plastic containers. We did our best to shake out everything and vacuum items as we put them into our freshly remodeled garage, but after about 2 weeks we noticed a few flying in the garage.After setting out 36 traps and several weekends of going through everything twice more, they’ve started to decline. A calls to PODS said sorry, but we’re not liable for insect infestation, so beware you may get more that than just a container.

Spent nearly 2 grand for service and Pods container was not delivered. People drove 1000 miles to clean out my late mother’s home and they just didn’t show up. Spent 3 hours on phone trying to find out where they were and nothing. No response. They don’t delivery on Sundays so we have wasted time, money and have had to scramble and spend even more time and money to try to remedy the horrible situation we were left in due to shear incompetence. Absolutely disgusted.

The PODS professionals are informative and helpful, and just watching them operate that thing like a robot or transformer truck at pickup and drop-off was fun for me and my family! I would recommend anyone moving near or far to utilize PODS services. My experience was awesome.
