Our first time here. The ladies were very hospitable and explained how to order. The food was exceptional also.

This place was featured on diners, drive in and dives show so we had to go while in the area. My husband and I both had the smothered pork chops which came with 3 sides. Hubby got the mac n cheese, green beans and red rice. I got a double order of green beans and red rice. Food was good! And you get a lot! Prices were very reasonable. Atmosphere is ok, nothing fancy. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Would definitely go back if I'm ever in Savannah again.Parking: Plenty of spaces.

The best service, the best Southern food I've had in the south. They were nice and dealt with any issues I had completely satisfied . A must stop in Savannah for food. The peach cobbler itself took me to another world It was so good

DO NOT GO HERE! TV IS A LIE!We finished our meals because we wanted to support a black business and we literally had not eaten anything since the day before. So, this was our breakfast and lunch.Oh my!.. how disappointing the whole experience was. First, we came in and it was at least 5 minutes before a young lady came out with a very unfriendly demeanor. Next, the selection of food was very unappealing. The buffet containers were mostly less than half filled and it looked like it at been sitting for a while. As I suspected the food was not even hot...it was lukewarm. We all sat down and ate very mediocre food in a very unclean dining room. There were dirty tables, overflowing trash can, and stacks of dirty dishes! We stayed because we knew we would never be back and wanted to just support a black owned business while in town.I feel really disappointed this place is representing black owned businesses in this area. It unfortunately adds to the stereotype that a black owned restaurant lacks quality.Do better Sisters of the New South!

I recently have been diagnosed as gluten intolerance, so it’s been very difficult for me to have regular meals, and I’ve been eating so many salads, I can’t have anything I want anymore. Tonight I decided to do a cheat night, and buy myself a fried chicken dinner with Mac n cheese, yams and tomatoes and okra. The pieces of chicken tasted like they had been frying all day in the window, they were measley, the yams was like soup, the macaroni didn’t even squish, it was more like noodles sprinkled with shredded cheese, okra and tomatoes taste like glory canned veggies. I am super underwhelmed, disappointed and I definitely won’t do this again.

We enjoyed the delicious honey Bbq Rib sauce! The fried chicken was nice & hot! Green beans & mashed potatoes weren’t special. The greens were delicious! The atmosphere was a bit rough. Tables weren’t cleared off & bathroom needed attention. Works best as a take out establishment.

A recommended local soul food restaurant (Mark Wolter and Guy Fieri) - - it lived up to the recommendations. Service is take-and-eat (on site dining room or take away).Chicken (fried and baked), pork chops, hamburger steak, ribs, fried fish and turkey legs are among the main courses with your choice of three sides including grits, biscuits, gravy, collards, beans, corn, three types of rice, lima beans and more. A little bit of cornbread is also included. Pepsi fountain drinks, energy drinks, and water are available as are a few dessert options.Overall, come for the food. The ambiance is not upscale, but it's clean and the menu on the wall is easy to understand.Parking: 8-10 free spots, but most of the spots are on a relatively steep incline.

Service was very good, some items kept up with, some ran out. Fried chicken was made fresh and very good. Mashed potatoes and sweet potatoes were good, Mac and cheese just OK and green beans were canned. Peach cobbler was good. Will go back, just be a little selective after first experience. Most dinners come with 3 sides and corn bread, good value for the amount of food.Parking: A little tight upfront a day more spaces on south side of building. Exit around the rear to get back to the side street and Skidaway.

The portion sizes do not fit the price… didn’t have a price list to pick from so u don’t know the price until you get to the counter. Charged me $28 for the emptiest plate ever. No I wouldn’t eat here
