So I took a tour at the sorrel weed house a little while ago and forgot to post my review. Our tour guide grey was amazing and did a really great job! He was so knowledgeable and entertaining. He was the only good part about the tour. The house itself was in such poor condition. It smelled like mold and was dusty and you couldn’t even access the whole house. It’s a shame to see such a beautiful historic home be kept in such poor condition. If you’re going to go, get Grey as your tour guide but honestly it’s not worth it.

We did the paranormal investigation experience. Aubrey was a great instructor and I really liked her energy. It was just spooky enough to not want to be alone in a room but not so spooky that I wanted to leave. I’d definitely do it again when we come back. We had some odd, unexplainable stuff happen. It was fun!

My friend highly recommended this ghost tour versus others because this one is not cheesy at all. It actually included a lot of history which I appreciated. Our guide was able to tell us many stories about ghost sightings of others as well as her own personal experiences in the house. Although I did not experience any ghostly sightings myself (wish I did) I thought the tour was great! We did purchase tickets in advance. The establishment called me about 15 minutes before our 8 o’clock tour time slot to say their guide couldn’t make it so they asked if we could wait until 8:45. Luckily we were seated at The Artillery Bar and continued to sip some cocktails until our new time slot. Honestly, feeling a little tipsy during a ghost tour made it even better.

Most of what the tour guide talked about was how other tour guests felt or saw paranormal things. Nothing really spooky or paranormal about the tour - just felt like a regular tour of an old house. The guide was very friendly but didn’t do a great job at tying in paranormal events in the house to people who used to live there. Upstairs was not open to the public so it was just the parlor rooms, the basement and the carriage house that were shown.

I enjoyed this ghost tour::::: did a 10 pm Saturday night tour. It was super spooky and fun. Our guide did a great job and left me wanting MORE. I have to watch the ghost hunters episode right now and learn history of this home and its Residents. Thank you for an interesting, memorable time in Savannah!

I went several months back and totally forgot to write a review. My tour guide was a really sweet woman named Eve, who was amazing at telling the history of the home while also being respectful to the spirits. I really enjoyed walking through the home, and getting to learn about its history and the spirits that reside there. I hope in the future the upstairs is also available to tour, I will definitely be returning :).

This house has so much history. Definitely visit this museum if you have the chance while in Savannah, GA. I wished I would have taken more pictures while we were there. I was more so focused on what our tour guide was saying that I didn't take my phone out until I saw the piano. Man, it was a beauty to see. I also was able to play a note or two on it. The basement was the best part of the tour. Great experience. ??

Toured the home yesterday afternoon with Greg. He was very knowledgeable and got the tour group excited about the details and history of the house. They are restoring the home back to its original glory so I will be sure to visit again as I am a local. Greg also highly recommended the night tour which I want to eventually take as well. Great tour and great tour guide! Ps. Locals need to take more tours if they haven't done so yet. Savannah is an awesome place to visit and tour!

**Sorrel Weed House Museum: A Great Tour Hampered by Unclear Guide**My husband and I visited the Sorrel Weed House Museum on December 22, 2023. We were the only ones on the tour, which meant we had the full attention of our guide. Unfortunately, her speech was so fast and unclear that we had a hard time understanding her.Our guide was a student at SCAD, majoring in drama with a focus on acting. She warned us at the beginning of the tour that she talks quickly and that we should let her know if we needed her to slow down. Despite our best efforts, we still had a hard time understanding her. This was especially frustrating because the Sorrel Weed House Museum is a beautiful and historic place. The house was built in 1836 and is one of the oldest surviving structures in Savannah. It was home to Flannery O'Connor, a famous American author, from 1945 until her death in 1964.The museum contains many of O'Connor's personal belongings, as well as exhibits on her life and work. It's a great place to learn more about this important writer.Unfortunately, our experience was marred by the fact that we couldn't understand our tour guide, There were times when we felt like we were missing out on important information.Overall, I would recommend the Sorrel Weed House Museum to anyone interested in Flannery O'Connor or Savannah history. However, I would suggest calling ahead to make sure that you have a guide who speaks clearly.**Rating: 3 out of 5 stars**

If you can get a tour with Jovy, you're in for a treat! Jovy's extremely knowledgeable of the home, history of the Sorrel-Weed families that once lived there and backs everything up with documented proof. The daytime (Architectural Tours) of the main house and carriage house are very informative. The house is in great condition, depicting the living of the 19th century.I do suggest taking a ghost tour of the house. I've had many different experiences over the years, and find myself going back as much as I can. There's several different ghost tours to choose from.

Had a fabulous experience on the Paranormal Investigation. Our guide, Evelyn, was amazing. She gave a very informative tour and was very helpful during our time there. I'm excited to say, we did have some interaction with spirit. Would live to do this again some time.

My fiancé and I have done many ghostTours/investigations and this was by the the best! Our tour guide Evelyn (Eve) was amazing, funny and knowledgeable. She answered any questions we had perfectly and has such an upbeat personality. We experienced a lot of activity in almost every room and the rem pods kept a going off. Had amazing dosing rod seasons also and even had a long season with “Molly”. Being a medium, i was able to feel and see a lot of spirts/activity. Definitely recommend this beautiful & historic home!
