There are multiple buildings/locations, not just a single space. Lots of exhibits with wide areas. I visited back in January 2020 when there were interactive displays and a giant cloth whale showcase.

Beautiful building. This place is worth the visit because you get the 3 for 1 deal on all the Telfair properties (Telfair, Jepson, and Owens House). The collection is very grounded in region specific art from the late 1800's which makes sense with the Telfair history. I do wish the plaster casts of Vatican statuary were in better condition. Since the statues are casts without historical significance, I wish the museum team would do restoration work on the casts, conservation just doesn't make sense on these pieces. The staff was wonderful, the facility is fantastic, the curatorial details are excellent.

We really enjoyed our visit to the Telfair Museum on our last trip to Savannah, we initially landed in the museum because I wanted to see the Bird Girl. The statue was impressive and took me back emotionally to see her up close and personal. I found all of the exhibits beautiful, spent about an hour wandering from one exhibit to another. Another plus, your admission will also get you into the other sites at no additional costs, which we certainly did.

We visited both the Telfair Academy and the Owens-Thomas house. (Same ticket covers both.) The Academy is a small museum in a lovely mansion setting. We enjoyed many paintings and sculptures. It has a nice focus on Savannah that helps us tourists get a glimpse of Savannah life. The Owens-Thomas house was beautiful and gave us a view of life for all of the house's inhabitants.

I definitely enjoyed learning about the slave quarter house that the Richard sons and owens owned. The tour guides were awesome in directing and explaining history of Savannah. I learned that the owens building was the first to have indoor plumbing . The only downside is that we had to wait in the rain outside instead of being inside everyone was soaking wet but after I understood because it was only so much room for each tour group to be in the facility at one time. Although I didn’t get to see the Thomas building and Jepson building I enjoyed my tour. I would like for tickets to be less then $25 a adult but overall great place to stop by for tourist.

Most pathetically over-rated museum I've ever seen. Pretentious, but with below-average exhibits, high prices, and snotty, rude, and condescending staff.Never again. Spoiled our trip to Savannah.

A lovely museum in a beautiful city. The artwork is amazing and thought provoking. Also most pieces are in gorgeous frames. The staff are knowledgeable, kind, and welcoming. The varying mediums keep you excited to see what’s around the next corner.

Overall I was disappointed and hoped/expected better.Jepson House is a beautiful facility but the artistic content was disappointing and of little interest to me. Thirty minutes was enough. Telfair Academy facility however was much better with more traditional art and sculptures.Jepson House has a very nice lunch area but very limited menu

Great collection of museusm and a really good deal if you can time it to see all of them. Friendly staff at each facility and lots to take in. Bathrooms available in several locations in a couple of the buildings. There's stairs to climb at each building

When visiting Savanna we made it a point to visit Telfair Museum. It was wonderful time spent visiting the different rooms and the art displayed; most of the art and architecture is related to the history of the city. You will remember the Bird Girl's pose from the excelent movie "Midnight in the Garden of Good and Evil" that is based on true events. The movie is based on the book written by John Berendt. We spent four days walking and visiting the different buildings, parks and excelent restaurants. Savanna is an American city you must visit.

We experienced the art museum, which was very nice and had some interesting pieces. I was excited to see the exhibit they had for “bird girl” from Midnight in the Garden of Good and Evil. The ticket included access to all three Telfair museums!

Beautiful museum adjacent to one of the iconic Savannah squares. Admission gets you access to the Telfair, Jepsen Center and Owen-Wilson.The rotunda room features a painting of the black knight during the 100 years war, it is immaculate and worth the cost of admission by itself.

This is an extraordinary concentration of local culture and art. There are three Associated museums (one ticket gets you entry to all 3) not very far apart. The Telfair Academy at 121 Barnard St. Is one of the oldest public art museums in the South Opening during the rebuilding after the civil war in 1886. It's Regency style is elegant and soothingly well proportioned. It is also well-known for its simple Bird Girl bronze made famous by the book "Midnight in the Garden of Good and Evil". It was closely linked by architectural style to the historic house noted below. The Owens- Thomas house and slave quarters Is worth the visit even if you have only one that you can choose. We were profoundly and movingly educated about how we use and misuse language related to those who were enslaved, not “slaves” because that condition did not comprise their only identity. Similarly, it's useful to have a better understanding of the connotations carried by similar terms such as “master” and considering whether the word “enslaver” is more appropriate. Food for thought right?.The Jepson Center is devoted to contemporary art from around the world, including emerging or new artists from the region. All are open 10-5 every day but last tours start just after 4.
