The notification in my BMW alerted me that I needed new rear brakes. I sent a message via the website that I wished to make an appointment to get my rear brakes changed. Someone called me to confirm my appt, told me it would cost $532 and that they would preorder the parts. I drop my car off thinking I was getting my brakes changed, only to receive a phone call two hours later telling me that my inspection came in saying that I need new rear brakes. I didn't need an inspection to tell me that, my car told me that for free. That's the entire reason for my visit. Then to top it off, I had to pay $20 for the inspection that I didn't need or asked to be performed in the first place. And they couldn't change my brakes on that day. Horrible experience.

Have trusted all my vehicles with Cooper Lake Automotive for over a decade. Honest, reliable, quality service, both mechanically and customer service. They never upsale or try to sell unnecessary services, yet track every required service that is truly needed. Ashley and Patrick are awesome and both are friendly, professional and very good at taking excellent care of my Jeep Grand Cherokee.Services: Battery

Very happy overall with everything. My repair was quite expensive, but I have learned that (like many things) you can have cheap or you can have quality....pick one. Repair was done quickly. I knew other folks that had experienced the same problem with their vehicle that I was having and what I paid was pretty much in line with what my friends had paid. I also shopped around with other mechanics before going to Cooper Lake and the prices were in line with what other shops had told me. I would go back here again if I ever needed more work done.Services: Auto engine diagnostic

I recently had my vehicle towed in for a fuel pump replacement. Sherman worked on my vehicle and he and the rest of the staff maintained communication with me and charged me a fair price for the repair. I had a battery replaced at no charge due to it being under warranty. This is the third time I have needed Cooper Lake to service my car and I will continue to do so because I trust them.

We have used Cooper Lake Automotive in the past and have trusted their work on our BMW and Ford. I was surprised to learn that they are charging separate diagnostic fees for each of my original reasons (IE: battery, power steering, back hatch) for calling a mechanic. However they did provide an overview of conditions like tire wear, fluids, lights, etcetera at no extra charge.Like everything else post Covid, their prices have gone up. But not too much in relative terms. We will call them again on our cars that are no longer covered by manufacturer.

I was having some issues with my 2010 Kia Soul after getting gas car would stall out but it would never throw a check engine light or any codes for that matter. These guys had it for a week did a lot of testing and they replaced the part and they told me that it may not be 100% fixed because it wasn't throwing any codes so I took a gamble had that part replaced and that was it they fixed my problem. I will never go back to the dealership I will take it back to these guys instead.Service: Auto engine diagnostic

I'll be the first to admit I'm a bit clueless and paranoid when it comes to all things car-related. The folks here have been pleasant to work with and patient with my worries, and have been great at communicating. The online updates and photos with explanations alongside them help immensely for someone like me as well. Truly appreciated.Services: Tires

This was my first time at Cooper Lake Automotive and I am impressed. The staff is amazing and I would like to give a shout out to General Manager Ashley Payne. The difference between this repair shop and others is price and they don’t try to up sale you. I had one item that needed immediate attention and another that was moderate. Ashley shared that I could absolutely wait for the moderate repair. I decide to get them both done since the price was much less than I expected. I was doing a happy dance after the diagnostic. The dealership told me that since the repair costs would be more than the value of the car, that I should just get a new car. Not true! I am so glad I found this gem and yes they repair ALL makes and models.Thank you Cooper Lake Automative!Services: General repairs & maintenance

Patrick was awesome, and the team handling my car. They went above and beyond to figure out why my car wouldn’t start gave me a thorough report in real time with explanation and photos and then were honest with me about things that didn’t necessarily need to be done RIGHT now. Saved me hundreds of dollars. Definitely use these guys for your vehicle needs. Also I never stepped in the door once. Fantastic communication!Services: Tires

Took my car in for check engine light. They said they were sure it was the O2 sensor that was replaced a few days earlier. They installed a $200 part (which cost $50 at the last shop). Total came to $500 plus.Light came back on the next day.Took it back and they ghosted me when I tried to call on my cell phone. They answered when I called from another phone. Now they said it was the catalytic converter and would cost $2,857.04!!!!!They have no idea what the problem is and quoted that price to get rid of me. These people are incompetent, dishonest or both. The cost of a catalytic converter installed, with warranty is $724 all in at a nearby shop.

These folks are evil and racist. I paid them $2500.00 to service my 2005 mustang. First they want 50% deposit before they do work on your car. I think that's a black thing. I can't prove. They called me two weeks later to say my car is ready. I go pay them the remaining monies. I drive the car 2 hours. Check engine light comes on. I take it back. I paid them $180 to clean my engine and they did not perform the service. When I took my car back and complained things went down hill. I filed a claim with my bank to stop payment. Cooper lake called to tell me they would hold my car if I didn't release the claim. So I did that. Guess what. The car is running hot.Do not let these folks service your car if your are a black American.

Took my Lincoln in for a loose axle. When they replaced it, something came loose, and I almost lost my whole entire tire. I took it back in. They couldn't explain what happened, but they were not going to let me drive it because it was unsafe. They fixed everything within a day.

Absolutely the BEST SHOP to have your vehicle repaired at in Smyrna Georgia. It’s worth driving 100 miles to have them work on your vehicles. I will only have my truck repaired there!!!!! They replaced my ABS brake module and hydraulic control unit and programed it to the latest update.Service: Air & cabin filter replacement
