Worst experience. Anytime I go there I have same problem. Last time(12.7.23)I had appointment @2:30pm and they called me and they rescheduled me @4:00pm. I was there @4:00pm. I’ve been waiting one hour in the room. It’s been a hour and no one didn’t even come to see my dog. And I didn’t wanna wait and I left. My dog was sick. She was nervous to be there and they didn’t even care. you need to wait at least one hour for just see the doctor. They don’t care about your time and your pet. horrible service.

This place is horrible, do not bring your pet here even for an emergency or walk-in. They will be unable to do anything. Their incompetency is astounding for a so called emergency vet. We tried to bring our 7month old Sheltie early in the morning around 9:30am, we were the first to arrive. My dogs paw started bleeding and we were unsure if it was torn or split or if the nail had broke. The receptionist told us the nurses could not even take a look and had to wait until the doctor arrived which wouldn’t be until 10am. There would only be one doctor in today, Mr.Williams. They said we would have to drop her off and it would take at max 2hrs. I was unsure why we would have to leave, most vets do the normal inspection and such in front of you. I asked if we could wait in the lobby because we are not from this area. They advised us to give them Bailey, the doctor would look at her first when he arrived and to walk around and explore the nearby shops. So we did just that. After an hour which was at 11am, we came back hoping to get a status update. The receptionist told us that Bailey hadn’t been even seen by the doctor yet and said it would at least be a few more hours and could not provide us with an exact time or anything else. So far it’s been over an hour and my dog had just been in the back with dried blood on her paw and not attended to. I demanded they give her back to me, I’d rather take her to a different vet than let her wait back there in an unknown environment while they do nothing. It may not be an emergency but they should have at least looked at her injury. Apparently all the nurses that work there are not qualified. The receptionist doesn’t even seem to know what to do and couldn’t advise us. The doctor whom I briefly passed as he leisurely strolled in at 10am seemed unfazed. Completely disappointed in this place and will not be back. I do not understand why they did not place importance on my dogs bleeding paw and couldn’t address it with a higher sense of urgency and the nurses couldn’t even clip her remaining, unhurt paws. I want to escalate this to corporate, either you need more certified doctors or get training nurse staff. INCOMPETENT AND LAZY!

The customer service experience when calling to inquire or schedule has become bad. I have being doing business with location for 2years. I now considering taking my services elsewhere. I waited on hold for 11mins only to have to hang up call back and immediately placed on hold again for another 8 mins to speak with someone. I felt like my concerns or questions was treated properly by tone given and being rushed off phone. I tried to schedule in app as another option unfortunately it would not allow me to do . Therefore this is was led me to seek help from one of Banfield representative.

Good visit. Front staff did well on phones, helping instore patrons, and medical rep. Back of the house staff was honest and informative.

Took my dog in for ear infection hoping to have the vet look at his ears to see what she thought. The vet TECH swabbed his ear, and came back to say it was infected. She was AWESOME. Loved her. However, the doctor never came to look at my pet. I stayed with him the entire time. Upon reviewing the medical records, the doctor documented a normal “observation” exam with normal ear exam even though she never looked at him. They even have a pulse rate documented but never checked his pulse….I will be cancelling my monthly plan due to multiple issues similar to this. I advise to stay away from this practice.

My dog was diagnosed with a heart murmur stage 4 in Feb. I was never informed of this. During the time of the appointment…she had apparent ascitis. Noone discussed a treatment plan. She was sent home with medication to treat arthritis. If I would have known that she had a heart murmur I would have taken precautions and asked about medications. I took her to Banfield last Sat for what I thought was a comprehensive exam but she died due to what I believe was a heart attack. I am completely heartbroken and disappointed in Banfield for not being proactive and assertive.

Kept my dog there for 8 hours simply for a comprehensive exam that they did not manage to finish. Returned my dog with half a nail trim and smelling like pee. Maybe if he wasn't there for 8 hours they would be able to handle him in a reasonable fashion. said they were not able to give de-wormer, which we managed to give him in about 5 seconds as we were getting out of the car. Vet can't seem to read notes as they completely ignored the notes about him being fixed, and his seasonal allergies and what they already tried in the past. Next to no nutritional training either. does not know the difference between hydrolyzed protein and a LID Hypoallergenic food. why suggest a protein you have no way of knowing he is allergic to? we will not be coming back to this location and I suggest anyone else with a time sensitive schedule or love for animals stay away as well. not worth the money. By far the most frustrating experience I have been through. The lack of care, compassion and competence shown today will not be missed.

Just picked up my two dogs from Banfield Clinic in Snellville. The front desk staff and vet assistant couldn't have been more pleasant, professional and helpful. I've engaged with each of the two ladies that were at the front desk on multiple occasions and have never had anything but good experiences. I have no issue with them; however I do have an issue with the rude and pompous disposition of one of their staff veterinarians, Dr. Mary Pilkinton. Upon picking up my two dogs from Banfield, I was trying to get a refill on heartworm and flea/tick medications for my dogs as their medications had run out. Dr. Pilkinton indicated that my dog had to get a heart worm exam in order to refill Simpirica trio prescription because it had been several months since my dog had taken the medication. I assured her that my dogs take their medication as prescribed, monthly, and that I'd received a 6-month supply of Simpirica trio when my dog had surgery at another area Banfield location in Feb/Mar timeframe. She indicated a lot of pet owners purchase medications from other outlets such as chewy, etc and that they may not follow up with Banfield for the medication. I told her a couple of times that wasn't the case in this instance as I got the 6-month refill from Banfield and my dog has been taking it monthly. I even showed her the medication box, which had the date of refill, frequency of dosage, vet's name and address, and other relevant info; however she never bothered to look at the box...all the information was right there!! The only thing that she did do was repeatedly talk over me as I was trying to explain the situation and speak to me in a condensing manner. I'd mentioned to Dr. Pilkinton that I was a health care clinician (28 years as a Physical Therapist in U.S. military) so I know how important it is to be compliant with treatment protocols, in which she sarcastically replied "well, isn't that nice". One of the front desk receptionist witness this whole encounter as Dr. Pilkinton FINALLY went to the computer at the front desk (once I'd asked if she could see treatment records from other Banfield locations). She was able to verify that everything I'd said was in fact true. I'd already contacted Banfield a few months ago, advising them to not renew the health plan for both my dogs and with clinicians like Dr. Pilkinton, I see that I've made the right choice. She may very well be a good clinician, but she needs to learn how to do more active listening and communicate with clients in a more appropriate fashion. I don't know how much a heart worm diagnostic test would have been but she was quite eager to order an unnecessary diagnostic test instead of listening to what I had to say. I'm not in the habit of spending money unnecessarily for items that I don't need. And was an apology ever extended by Dr. Pilkinton? I'll let you figure that one out. There are far too many vet clinics in Gwinnett County that will do a great job with caring for your pets as well as treating the pet owners with an expected level of professionalism, respect and courtesy. Hard pass for me on any future visits to Banfield clinic in Snellville or any other Banfield location for that matter.

The care my pet received was great, Dr. Tolliver is an awesome veterinarian doctor! My complaint is with the staff working the register. My dog was there for his annual teeth cleaning when I received a call from the staff asking if I wanted an additional procedure to be done while my dog was under for his teeth cleaning. I asked specifically if I could pay the additional cost with Care Credit card. I was told yes. When I got there to pick my dog up, the lady working the desk could not figure out how to charge my Care Credit care. I even called the customer service number of Care Credit and let her speak with them directly. While on the phone with them she said ok, as if she understood what to do so we ended the call. Once I hang up the call, she told me she needed the primary card holder DL number, date and expiration date. Now, this lady has my Care Credit card in her hand with my name on it, she spoke with Care Credit customer service to confirm the account information and available credit, yet she is requesting I provide the DL information of the other person listed on this same account. I tried calling my husband twice to get his DL information but didn’t get answer, probably because he was at work and can’t always answer his phone. So I’m left with no choice but to pay with my debit for a procedure that I wouldn’t have gotten done today because I asked specifically if I could pay using Care Credit. And this additional procedure was $378. Again, the care my pet received was excellent……my complaint is with the folks at the desk that say they take Care Credit as a form of payment then don’t know how to bill the card and lack of customer service in NOT TRYING to call someone to help resolve the issue. I used my Care Credit card at other veterinary clinics with no problems and have never been ask to provide the DL information of my spouse. Horrible experience today.

Very good visit I had with a cat, very impressed that they informed me what needs to be done, gave me some options of treatment and told me upfront!!! The associated costs for the different options not afterwards handing you an invoice that you might not expect. Very good service and communication - anytime again!!! Thank you so much!

Yesterday I took a recently orphaned 2-week-old puppy to this facility for treatment, the staff was kind upon entry. When I was seen by Dr. Holsendolph, she did not examine, touch or even pick up the newborn to see if he was okay. (she explained she had been touching other animals??) as if washing hands or wearing gloves doesn't exist. She barely looked at him. I told her he was weak, his mother had passed, the formula I was giving him, how i keep him warm and etc. All she did was reiterate what I already said I was doing, agreed he needs to eat more and moved on. She said he was fine and I was on the right track. Later that night he passed away. I am not saying this is the cause of the death, however, I don't feel like Dr. Holsendolph was helpful at all, I would have appreciated any warnings or even a more thorough examination. Everything I told her that was wrong with him was brushed to the side as normal. Maybe he needed more than the care I was providing, that's the only reason why I went to the vet in the first place. I googled and found many risks that newborns can have and this doctor did not tell me any of these things. The lack of genuine care is really disturbing. To lose the mother and puppy within the same weeks has been a difficult situation. A newborn in this situation is a difficult task to take on, but I truly wish I would've gone somewhere else. Maybe his chances may have been different, who knows.

I would choose a different location. Some days people want to work here and and some days they don't. Unfortunately, went on a day the Vet didn't want to work and barely looked at my pet. Unfortunately, he died. I would steer clear from this vet.

Here we go AGAIN!!I'm truly disgusted with Banfield. My insurance plan has gone up AGAIN, but the Veteranarian isn't able to freeze the skin tag off my dogs head, and she keeps rubbing it to where it's bleeding. The doctor says she doesn't feel comfortable putting her to sleep to remove it because my dog is 16. Why Banfield don't have any less invasive methods beside surgery? Or just prescibing medicines that doesn't work. Or they have to farm you out to other pet hospitals because they can't properly diagnose or treat your pet.Banfield, don't respond to this review, because you really don't want to help pet parents. ?
