First, always advocate for your own health.I came in for a regular checkup and my pressure was slightly high, personally had a lot going on and I experience white coat anxiety, which they know!!However, they check my pressure and the doctor immediately prescribes a large dose of this medication, no ekg, no x ray, NOTHING!!!A few days later, I started feeling weird because I listened to his suggestions, so I contacted the doctors nurse. The first time, the nurse suggests when I should take it. I do that for a day or so, this time feeling worse!!Finally attempted to contact the doctors nurse, no call back at all!! Not one call!!I decided to go back to my old regimen and just know I’m recovering but I’m not happy how I was treated.I will never go back to this place again!!! Literally could’ve ruined my life!!!

I went here for a few appts and let me tell you why my rating has changed from a possible 3 to a 1. Back in 2023 I went in for my PVC. I was told I had pvc over 7 years ago. Made an appointment pretty easy I was assigned Dr.GAO she confirmed I had pvc and wanted me to wear a heart monitor for 7 days . I wore it and returned it to FedEx like I was told to by the wonderful staff in office. Fast forward I had 1 other appt but it was canceled do to insurance changing . That appt was for an ultrasound i proceeded to ask if it was okay to hold off till my military insurance was activated they said absolutely. I made a appt and came back in 2024 and was told by Dr.GAO I waited to long and all the test had to be done over but my last heart monitor showed my pvc at 7% and it shouldn’t be past 1-3 percent. I asked her why I was never informed this and she said because I didn’t come back to the appt fair enough... (The appt was with a ultrasound tech not her so she wouldn’t have informed me that cause my visit wasn’t with her) I then asked okay well what are my options she told me I had to go on medication Immediately! I was absolutely confused and said what medication she said betta blockers to make sure I have less pVc. I then asked how long I would have to take it she said forever if it helps . I asked her if we can retest the heart monitor as well as do the ultrasound she said well in my experience the 7% pvc won’t decrease on its own but if you don’t want the medication we can do a small procedure to burn the ventricular something. I was shocked and was like um no. I left the office with other appts made and I get a alert that the betta blockers are ready for pick up from my pharmacy. I Begin to read the side affects in which I would have to be weaned off of and could cause other issues. I called the office and spoke with Dr. GAO and she said she wants me on it while on the monitor to see if it helps but I told her no I’d like to see the percentage now because it may have changed in the last 7 months and I also wanted a second opinion. Over the phone Dr. gao very rudely said I shouldn’t get to many doctors involved and opinions and if I wanted a second opinion there are more doctors in that office . I politely said it’s my health and my responsibility to get the right information before continuing a medication for the rest of my life .i went to another doctor for a second opinion and felt heard and he agreed with me not taking the beta blockers before another monitor test. FASTforward . 3 weeks later get a call for Dr.gaos office and my heart monitor said my pvc was in the 1% range . The nurse went over my results with me and I was grateful yet pissed !!! That Dr.GAO would have put me a 26 year old on betta blockers for the rest of my life and claim they are helping me. When I don’t need them . Also how many of her patients are put on betta blockers and other medications struggling to pay for these visits that they DONT NEED . Please people Advocate for your health. And stay away from her. I can’t speak for the other doctors but Dr.GAO was absolutely wrong and could have harmed my health. Praise God I am healthy.
