They made the cakes/cupcakes for my wedding. The cake was so good there was none left at the end of the night. Everyone enjoyed it. My favorite from Walmart Bakery is the red velvet with cream cheese filling. Thanks again.

(Snellville GA). I shop at this Walmart all the time. No problems! So, when I shopped online for a birthday cake for my husband and this Walmart bakery came up I chose this bakery. I saw a beautiful cake on their site and decided to go with Walmart's Bakery. The cake was BEAUTIFUL online. I went down to the store, spoke with bakery staff and ordered the cake on a Monday for the following Friday pick up. Thursday afternoon I received a call from the Bakery manager (Linda) informing me that they did not have the gray frosting for the bottom layer of the cake. We hashed through solutions then came up with a subtle milk chocolate frosting for the bottom layer. When I picked up the cake on Friday afternoon, I was okay with the color change but shocked at the frosting job on the cake. It looked as though I frosted it myself (I have two thumbs when it comes to frosting a cake). I had no choice but to take the cake. The party was the next day and I had already paid a deposit on it. It got worse when I got the cake home. The top round layer was placed atop the bottom layer crooked (not centered at all). The cake looked TOTALLY different from what I ordered. I could only hope that it tasted good. When company arrived all of them asked if I made the cake, myself. Embarrassed, I said "no, it was ordered from a bakery". They were shocked at the appearance and that I paid $60.00 for it. Everyone kept saying that I needed to get my money back. It was verrrry embarrassing but we tried to keep the merriment going. The cake was delicious but the looks were not. The manager was sweet and tried to make the cake look like it was supposed to but failed. I would not recommend ordering specialty cakes from this bakery as they need more cake decorating training. The cake decorating/frosting looks like amateur homemade cakes ... embarrassing.

It's hard to find a reasonable bakery that offers yummy "homemade" cakes and nice designs. Nevertheless, the Walmart and Sams brand cakes are the best in my opinion. This particular Walmart bakery is my favorite because Fernando, the bakery manager is extremely helpful. Not to mention his hand writing is really nice. I hate seeing beautiful cakes and horrible writing on it...IJS Every time I order a cake from here people think I've hired a custom baker. The 2 tier cakes are like $38 which is super affordable. Only drawbacks are...you can order over the phone if you know what you want but the designs are only in a book in store and not online. And with that sometimes the ones you see in the book may not be available. Also, there aren't many cakes on the floor that are ready to buy so you usually have to place an order but it only takes 24 hours. My favorite is the basic vanilla cake with buttercream icing. It taste like someone's Grandmom made it...not like that whipped icing stuff. The cream cheese icing is really good, but it usually needs to be refrigerated. Not typical for a party.

Very clean and organized Walmart. The folks who work there were more than willing to help.
