My car is currently at the mechanic and I needed to cash a check from my father-in-law who banks here and has for over 15 years in order to pick it up. I walked over 2 miles to this branch with my 10 month old in a stroller and my four-year-old on his push bike. We left just after 8 AM to get there by 9 AM in order to avoid as much heat as possible. It is currently 9:40 AM and it is 85 degrees and it is going to reach 98° today. when I got to the branch I showed the teller Barbara my two forms of ID I signed the back of the check and she told me that because the check was made out to me and my husband that we both need to be present in order to cash it. I explained the situation that I needed to cash the check in order to pick up my car from the mechanic that I had walked over 2 miles to get there that it was really hot outside and begged her to find a way to help me with that, and she got her manager, the red head. I told her they could call my father-in-law directly to get verification that I could cash the check by myself and she simply said 'no Im not going to do that' that it didn't matter if he verified the check and okayed for me to cash it by myself, even if he was there in person telling her to give me the money from this check she was not going to risk getting in trouble with Wells Fargo. When I explained that if I didn't get the check cashed I was going to have to walk home with my kids and it was even hotter than when we had left this morning her response was "I'M not making you do anything, Wells Fargo is" she went on to ask me where my husband was as if most people are not at work at 9 AM on a Wednesday? She went on to say that the ink was "a little more blue in some spots of the check then it was on other letters" and I was like OK maybe the ink was running out on the pen, again if you can call and verify with him directly, and she said 'again, no'. So I said OK and asked her to hand me back my two forms of ID and the check, she made no motion to return them, she held onto them and went on to say how this wasn't her fault that it's not that she didn't want to help me it's that Wells Fargo absolutely would punish them for helping me. Honestly that's a really terrible situation that a bank manager would literally be terrified that Wells Fargo would punish her and retaliate against her by firing her and the teller for cashing a check that she could personally verify to be valid. Everyone should remember that the next time they go to bank with Wells Fargo, their employees are literally terrified of their employers, and for what? $12 perhour, which isn't even a livable wage in this state? As we left and I was explaining to my son that we had to go home now because they weren't gonna be able to help us she was like do you want a little cup of water for him? Which is the icing on the crap-cake because not only did I receive no help, now she was implying that I'm somehow a terrible mother and didn't bring water along on our walk knowing how hot it was going to be today.. Georgias own Credit union my own bank, would've absolutely helped me, and the only reason I didn't walk there is because the closest one of those branches is 5 miles, and that's too far for kids. Everyone needs to realize that Wells Fargo holds too much power and they terrorize their employees to follow their own protocols that differ from standard banking practices, in order to implement control. No one would've lost any money, my FIL OR Wells Fargo by cashing that check today, the check was drawn off of Wells Fargo and they could verify the amount in the account and with the account holder that it was valid. She was too scared to even ask someone above her.

If I could leave negative stars I would. Bottom of the barrel, horrid customer service. The e absolute worst Wells Fargo branch or customer service I've ever received.

The customer service is awesome. I was serviced by two individuals here, Jessica and Linda. They were both polite and efficient, however, Jessica was a superstar. I needed to get a check endorsed and was advised to go here by a phone agent. Once I arrived, Jessica wasn't able to endorse it. She asked a colleague for help and the colleague who was rushing out the door said, "is her mortgage current?" Jessica replied, yes. The woman then said, "she'll have to mail the check then, it does that sometimes" - then ran out the door. Now I know she was in a rush, but what if my mortgage wasn't current? I'd imagine yelling that out loud would be embarrassing for someone! So why is Jessica a star? Because she didn't accept her colleagues response- she called into the 800 number to get a reason and was able to get it processed over the phone saving me a trip to Fedex and the hassle of an endorsement via mail which would've taken days! Going the extra mile is important because I can assure you that I would've taken it to another branch, and when that banker calls it in to get it processed I would've been pissed that the initial location didn't try! So why the missing star? Availability- there were only two bankers during lunch hour (including the drive through). One was working the inside clients and the other was working the drive through. I was in no rush, but had I been coming in during a lunch break I'd be slightly irritated by the line and wait. Keep up the good work Linda and Jessica!!

Even though I hate the politics of wells fargo and their reputation. The service I received from a red headed girl named Amber at this location makes me rethink their whole customer service model. She was wonderful and made it a pleasure to bank with them.
