“This location was so friendly and easy to work with when I went to pick up my truck! It’s a gun store called Sportsman Corner and they had this cute Heeler pup named Sammie who was also there. The man that checked me out made everything a breeze with getting my moving pads. Their storage locker does have a mouse problem, so I was warned beforehand that he had to go through and get the pads that hadn’t been chewed through and he had to double check to ensure there weren’t any critters hiding in them before I took them. I work with animals, so critters don’t bother me, but if this would bother you, choose a different location.
My only gripe with the truck was the amount of dog hair on the seats and tufts of it on the floor. The cabin smelled like dog when I first opened the door. A vehicle that smells like dog and has dog hair is not clean. I also did a thorough wipe down of the seats and steering wheel before leaving and my wipes were brown afterwards. I figure all U-Haul trucks aren’t getting *actually* cleaned (wiped down, disinfected, etc.) between uses, so the U-Haul /company/ definitely needs to implement a better cleaning protocol company wide. Overall experience with the pick up location 10/10!”
