When hubby and I decided to find a new bank to handle our finances, we researched and visited several in our local area. Ameris Bank stood out as a customer-oriented bank that we could visit and quickly and easily speak to a manager, as well as to a teller.
Mary and Tricia are incredibly knowledgeable about the world of finance and banking; in our small town, I feel that it’s rare to find their level of expertise—and their accessibility—without having to go through other people in some convoluted bank hierarchy.
They made the transition from our former bank to Ameris easy and secure. My husband is more money-literate than I am, and he is really pleased with Ameris and their service. I love the fact that I feel empowered in my financial situation because I know that our bank managers see us as people, and I promise you, they genuinely care.

The 10 hold on the funds was entirely too long. It was a real estate transaction. The title company/bank could have been contacted. The check could be cashed and cleared well before the ten days.

Mary O'Neal is wonderful! My experience was excellent! Mom's account was compromised and I was dreading going to the bank. Mary made it as painless an experience as possible. We will stay with Ameris Bank as long as Mary works there. People make the experience.
