Needed him to come in for repairing fridge lights. He came in and did diagnostic on what would solve the problem, but said he needed to order the part. Charged about 100 dollars for the diagnostic, but it has been over a year and a half with 0 progress on the part getting there. I am very convinced he has scammed me by this point since, when last I called 6 months ago, he said the "part was taking a while to get to the US from China."So yeah, considering he never, ever called me with any updates to the progress on it and it has somehow taken over an entire year and a half with still nothing, I'm firmly believing he scammed me.

Van failed on way to Thanksgiving dinner, looked up U-Haul online and they had the tow trailer we needed and they were open earlier than the posted hours with no problem getting the rental done.Back down the road in less than 20 minutes. Thank you

If I could give 0 stars, I would. This place is absolutely horrible! The 1st time the repairman came to repair the burners on my GE Range that was under warranty, he blew off my description that the rear left burner was not heating properly and said 'that's the way the rear burner is supposed to work'. He repaired the front burner and left. Later, I called GE again and scheduled a repair on that back burner because I could literally keep my hand on the burner for almost all of the settings except High. When this same repairman came back, I showed him what it was doing. He clearly was aggravated, said they would order the part, he'd come back when it came in, and exited the front door. He didn't leave an invoice, service call number, reference number, information as to how the part would come - nothing! I called the office multiple times over the next month or two and kept being told that the part was on back-order. Four months later and they still haven't let me know anything and still not fixed. I finally called GE directly. GE called Battens office and the lady there couldn't find anything, didn't have any information, and then never came back on the line for the GE representative. The GE representative couldn't believe what was going on either. She explained that there are several ways they can get a part; but, obviously, Battens did not pursue following through with this service call. Bad service!!

Office personnel are great people. The owner is a great guy and does a great job at what he does. He works really hard to get the job done in a timely manner but sometimes his parts suppliers are backed up,not his fault. I would 100% recommend him to anyone needing appliance repairs.

This is where we returned our Uhaul trailer. No help, lackadaisical reply to any thing. Good thing the hubs and I know how to back a trailer and connect/disconnect without help since absolutely none was forthcoming.

I was attempting to have my refrigerator repaired and it took almost five month to get the part. The issued was not resolved so around July 2023, the company made a second visit and stated they will call back the next day. I have not received a call as of yet after three messages were left on 8/1, 8/10, and 8/18/2023.

The fan was extremely loud on my new 48" Cafe electric/gas range. Batten Appliances came out and inspected my range. He ordered two fans to be replaced at the back of the unit. The parts arrived within a week and they were available to come out the next day. The repair went very smooth. They arrived on time (one hour window) and went to work. He had the right tools to move this beast of a range without scratching the range or my new wood floors. The job was done in less than a hour. My range fans are purring! I'm surprised how quiet they are. Both workers were polite, efficient and professional. I highly recommend Batten's Appliance.

See video above of how quickly owner turned his back, refused to service, and still billed our insurance. Crooked Batten's. 1 star bc 0 not an option. Batten's owner (pictured) arrived with younger technician to repair our dishwasher heating element. They contracted through Old Republic Home Warranty. I said we do not wear outdoor footwear in our home (for sanitary and spiritual/religious reasons). I purchased disposable footwear covers (similar to what food preparation/hospital workers might use); we have chairs as needed. I could have put down towels, or a tarp for them had they chosen to work with our needs. Owner said he can't do it because he broke his back and could not bend down. I said I would put them on for him. He immediately turned his back and began walking away, said, "I'd rather just send it back". He quickly submitted a bill to our warranty company for the visit saying service was not able to be provided. I wonder how he got his shoes on that day? How was he prepared to inspect our below counter level dishwashing heating element given that he was unable to bend over. I would have happily worked with him to accommodate both of our health/physical health needs, but he was ready to throw the towel in immediately.. did not want to work, the owner has silently quit his own company, and it shows. He still billed, wasted everyone's time, and his dismissive response felt untrustworthy. Terrible service, he doesn't value his employee who came that day who could have assisted, nor our time as residents, or much of anything it felt like. My Overall Take Away from Battens: He Just Doesn't Care. Zero Stars. 0

They are getting one star only because I can't give them zero. After installing a garbage disposal for which I'd waited almost two weeks, I was informed a hose was bad and would need to be ordered. When I called on a Friday to check status of the order, Kiki, the office manager, said it had come in tht morning and the earliest she could schedule a service call would be Monday. I was expecting out of town guests and really needed my dishwasher, so asked if she would check with her technition to see whether he would be willing to engage in some overtime. She never called back. When my husband called her, she said she'd been mistaken. While one of the hoses (first time we've heard more than one) had come in, the other one hadn't. Now knowing I've been lied to, I called a neighbor who is a former contractor. After taking a look under my sink, he said the problem was not the hose, but that the technition had broken the coupler. He went to Lowe's and within 30 minutes I had a working garbage disposal and dishwasher. So the technition also lied, the result of which would have been paying for a part I didn't need and another service call when the tech himself could have gone to Lowe's which is 10 minutes from my house and completed the repair the same day. Kiki never called back and the kicker, I found out later, is that the technition is none other than the owner, James Rue. To echo S. S., extremely dishonest and unreliable.

I would avoid this place at all cost! I scheduled an appointment last week and let the lady know that an afternoon appointment fit me best because I had an appointment at 1230 and I had errands to run. She said I’ll have guy come between 1pm -3pm. I get a call today at 10 am saying was there and no one was home.Well that tells me right off the bat they do not listen, they do not return calls and everything else listed below is true. Kiki was her name she said she would called me back after she heard from guy that fixes the appliances. I knew that wasn’t happening. This has inconvenience me 100% and I will never called this place again for help. Run far far far away. You have been warned.Save your time and your money.Dear owner, Let’s not make excuses just do better.

They put you on hold for 30 - 45 minutes until you hang up and never bother calling you back. This happened a few times. Looking for recommendations!

I recently bought a GE dryer from home depot well unfortunately it decided to stop working a fee days after we got it . However Denny came out and made sure he fixed the dryer . He was so polite and fun to talk to. I am so thankful he knew how to fix it . He told me I'm not going to leave until it is fixed and he was true to his word . Thank you again so much !
