This day care don’t even deserve a star. My grandson has been going here since he was three months. He is now 3. There are so many incidents that accord with my grandson that my daughter should have reported. The owner is rude and does not know how to run that daycare. Ms lorreta is very unprofessional how do you tell a mother that they are tired of their kid. And that your child should have been kicked out when he was in the two year old class… there is no type of structure in the class room. And they label a child being autistic. They are not doctors to be labeling anyone child. I would not recommend this daycare.

All 5 of my daughters ages range from 6wks- 10yrs have attended Applegate Academy. My 3 oldest attended until preK and has been Straight A students since they left. My Kindergartener who just started school is at the top of her class, scoring in 1st grade category. Applegate is not only a daycare they are Family! The owner Stands on Business! She keeps it professional and plays no games about the Childern and their education. Every morning she takes time out to read to a class. I have witnessed this daily. Ms.Loretta is the nurturer of the facility. The teachers are Awesome!!! Applegate has never let me down. Did I mention I drive from MLK EVERY MORNING TO DROP MY BABIES OFF!! I pass a thousand other daycares but I know they are safe at Applegate while I’m working!!HIGHLY RECOMMENDED DAYCARE

My son attended daycare here for 2.5 years, until he attended pre-k at the elementary school. The staff were sweet and professional with him and absolutely helped pick up our slack when we struggled with things like potty training. It can be a long day for the kids, but the structure of the school day has been incredibly formative and positive for my son.

I can agree the owner is miserable! But she seems overwhelmed… They don’t provide you correct information they say its a list but its first come first serve! I been on the waiting list since March and yet I was removed because i had questions! Pay attention to the reviews people on here are not lying.

Never bring your kids here!!! They have cameras but never want to review them even if you ask when your child tells you the teacher hitting them If your child doesn't not go to sleep during nap time they make them stand in a corner and except them to behave. They constantly call home to come expecting you to leave work and come get your child when kids are just being kids. They will make your child out to be a problem child!!

Terrible baby had unexplainable bruises staff is nonchalant and rude. No warmth at this facility. Baby was shaking terribly with them he went to another daycare and had a way better outcome. They try to pre-warn you about bruises but my baby was injured within first hour without a call to notify. They treat you like whatever when it comes to your baby

The service is horrible. They are always understaffed and the staff they have seems so unhappy and overwhelmed with the exception of 2 ladies who was always pleasant. The front office staff is always angry, rude and combative and they lie like a rug. Children are left in the room alone, infants left to sleep in high chairs and on the floor, assistant director don’t know bright from the start rules and regulations. I could go on and on and on and on about the things I have seen.

I was employed at the Stockbridge location for One and a half days, I left on my second day during break and never returned for the simple reason of it was my second day and because “state” was in they threw me in a class with eleven two year olds and a one year old by myself! This was only my second day and I haven’t even had the chance to learn the kids names yet. Only my second day really no training because it’s to many kids and not enough teachers. The people are as nice as can be the kids love the teachers that are there they do their job as best as they can. However they have one star because they are having an issue sending me my check and due to this I wasn’t able to pay my rent in full because I didn’t receive my check. I’ve called multiple times the director has yet to give me a call back and instead of them putting a stop on the check they claim to have sent out and get me a new one to just go pick up from the facility they are waiting for the post office To send the old one back to them. To many things get lost in the mail and anyone can sign the back of a check and cash it for the simple fact I’ve called and said I haven’t received my check and them not trying to get to the bottom of it is an issue!

The owner of this "facility" is MISERABLE!!! She sits at the front desk and patiently waits for problems to occur so she can have a reason to combat parents. Instead of doing what she can to provide quality childcare!

First, let me start off by saying that my son attended the location in Stockbridge, GA, the end of August/first part of September, 2015 (7 YEARS AGO) when he was 3 years old. I came to this page and felt compelled to write this review today because of the negative impact this school has left on my son which still affects him today. Last night on 8/17/22, at 10 years old and after somehow being triggered, he came into my room randomly recounting his awful experience while at that school AGAIN. HE VIVIDLY REMEMBERS incidents that happened to him while in that classroom and always talk about how mean his teacher was to him. Although his comments about the school are sporadic now, he is triggered when he hears the name Applegate. At one point, he would not eat Applegate Farms foods that I would buy because he thought they were affiliated with the school. My son's Teacher was Ms. Melissa in the 3 year old class. With the exception of the high turnover of staff at the school (she had 3 different Assistant Teachers in her classroom in a 3 month time span, the Asst. Director left, etc.) as well as the fact that my first impression of her was that she seemed to be a bit rough around the edges, everything else seemed to be fine about her at first. My son cried everyday I left him but, I thought that was normal and he would get past it with time. After about a month and a half, he did not want to go to school at all! He would literally be crying, clinched to my leg and begging me not to leave him. I felt terrible leaving him but, Ms. Tanisha (the Director) reassured me that this was normal behavior since this was his first time in school and to give it some time. I was so glad that I purposely waited until my son was able to articulate effectively before putting him in school because the situation didn't get better.I started asking him why he didn't want to go to school and he began to tell me about incidents that were happening with his teacher. One incident included a time when my son said Ms. Melissa told another little boy to hit him so he would stop crying. My son was struck in the head with a wooden red truck (about 7 inches long) by another little boy in the classroom, resulting in him having a knot on his head. His teacher did not mention the incident to me when I picked him up that day but, I noticed the knot later when we got home. When I asked him about how he got the knot, he said Ms. Melissa told a little boy (he said the boy's name) to hit him because he was crying and he felt that it was to make him stop crying. So, the little boy hit him with what was in his hand. The next morning, I asked Ms. Melissa about the incident and she admitted that the little boy hit my son with the truck but said she did not know why it happened nor did she realize he had a knot. She denied her involvement and proceeded to call my son over to ask him what happened. My son did not hesitate to tell her (because that's how he is) that "you told him to hit me because was crying." She downplayed the situation and against my gut feeling and better judgment, I let him stay at that school a little longer. I spoke with Ms. Tanisha about the incident and asked her if she monitors the classrooms but, she downplayed the situation as well. I realized quickly that she did not welcome any unfavorable feedback so, talking to her was out of the question. My son continued to cry every morning at drop off so, I started sticking around outside the classroom door for a few minutes to see how he would adjust when I wasn't around. The school had no classroom cameras for parents to review throughout the day so, this was my only option. The classroom door had a small window that you could look through. Ms. Melissa never smiled or greeted my son when he came in the classroom after that. She would only give him directives but, she was not welcoming to him at all. I removed my son from the school shortly thereafter when I witnessed Ms. Melissa and the lady from the kitchen one morning standing in a corner shoulder to shoulder, s

The Director Shannon is very unprofessional, unethical and lacks customer service. Gives inaccurate receipt documentation! Very sloppy business when it comes to finances. Loses checks, won't put payments in the system. Inputs payments wrong. Doesn't like to be corrected or addressed about HER ERRORS. Poor communication to parents as a Director and kid(s). Please spend your money else where, where it will be appreciated. Where you and your kid(s) matter as a customer.
