Always a great experience even if you are not feeling so great. The staff is professional and compassionate and I appreciate that! Love my Doc Akinmade!!!

It is so unfortunate that I have to leave this review. I have been seeing Doctor Adam here for over 3 years. I followed her to this location because I value and trust her as my physician. She has excellent bedside manner and I know and feel like I’m in good hands. However I cannot continue to deal with the less than desirable customer service by the front desk staff! It is a pity to have such unprofessionalism be the faces that represent Piedmont whom I work for as well! I experience total discomfort and unsettling feelings when I come here because of my experience as I walk through those doors! I can’t no longer continue to be made to feel like this as a patient. I’ve spoken to the office manager a few months ago and I see nothing has changed from that conversation. It’s a pity that such a great physician have to be in an office staffed with individuals that definitely don’t deserve to work the capacity they do at the front desk!

My mother went to see neurologist Dr. Ogonna Iwuora for her scheduled appointment. She experiences seizures here and there and many doctors that we went to have no idea what is causing it. Dr. Iwuora isn’t her primary neurologist but since we’re closer to this facility she went to her. My mother was asking questions regarding her health and the responses the doctor gave were incredibly unprofessional and reckless. One of the responses that stuck out was that she told my father to TRIGGER a seizure from her to see where her seizures stem from…. I have never heard a doctor request that.. EVER. Mind you my mother also has mental health issues. So if my dad was to follow with the order, he could trigger a mental health episode instead of a seizure That’s just putting more stress on her and that’s not good for her health. These types of things should occur naturally. Not be induced. I’ve seen her have seizures and as her child I never want to see her go through that. It’s scary. There is more to this story but I wanted to highlight this issue. Dr. Iwuora’s unprofessionalism and reckless suggestion was disappointing and frustrating and she needs to be held accountable.Sincerely,An angry daughter

I came in to the Urgent Care center on July 15, 2023. I was greeted by the staff with smiles. They were friendly, compassionate, and helpful. I was promptly called back, evaluated, and treated. My provider listened to my concerns, and addressed them. Excellent provider bedside manner. Much better than care I even receive at emergency rooms. From my first impression, great Piedmont center. This is how it’s done!

Went to visit Joi Nichols and her and her staff were so welcoming. I had an apt scheduled for 230 and i got there at 215. I didn’t even have time to fill out my paperwork they were so fast !!! After my apt was done i had to sit back out in the waiting room to finish my papers for a few extra minutes! The place was clean and shiny which is what I really like to see especially in a doctors office. Happy with my new PCP!

Myself and my mom have seen FNP Paula Armstrong at this location and have been very satisfied with our care. She was informative attentive and the nursing staff was very nice and efficient. They were able to get my mom the proper care she needed quickly. Due to it being a pretty urgent matter and she had to be referred to a specialist and it happened the same day as her physical exam. We were called back quickly and seen quickly. I have no complaints with any of my visits and my mom’s visit. I was present at all of hers as well.

My dad came here for physical exam Nov 29 2022. He paid out of the pocket $60 in the front and $75 when we got the blood test.A week later they sent him another bill said he owed $105...it did not make no sense how they send us another bill after the physical exam.We could go somewhere and pay $80 and NO SURPRISE BILL.He got a regular physical exam to buy insurance and they did not do nothing special here...weight check, height check,a couple questions and blood test. And they threw him out with extra bills.Disappointed.

They refused to see me in the office because I had the flu 2 weeks ago. I dont have a fever or runny nose. I'm having chest and abdominal pain and they wanted me to go sit in my car for a virtual visit. How can you assess my problems from the car.

This location refused to see me in the office after waiting a month for a new patient appointment. all because I had nasal congestion. If this is a concern of this location in 2022, you should do what was done in 2020 and prescreen people before their appointment. People take off work, drive 30+ minutes just to be turned away. HORRIBLE service! Most of the world has moved on to wearing mask and allow ill people to be SEEN onsite by a doctor. I was told to go to urgent care which is more expensive and a 4 hour wait. apparently you have to be semi health to bee seen in person here. DONT WASTE YOUR TIME

This office is extremally unprofessional... on multiple occasions with me and other family members were denied service. they have a 10 minute grace period but if u arrive 7 or 9 minutes within the grace period you will not be seen. their excuse being that you have to be inside the office and they have to finish your paper work and be checked in within the time period.... this is paper work that they have to fill out... it also doesn't matter if you checked in online.... so because they wont move fast enough you wont be seen... they also have a new rule where you can only where medical mask but they will no longer be providing medical mask....

I love Dr. Joi and have been seeing her for years, but since the pandemic the (administrative side) of the office and customer service has declined significantly. I reached out to schedule an appointment for my daughter and was told to go to urgent care or the ER because of a lack of scheduling availability (which is understandable). My daughter was admitted to the hospital after an ER visit. Upon her discharge I made an appointment for her to follow up with her primary MD (Dr. Joi). We arrived at the office and called per office instructions and were told to come inside. We waited at the door to be let in and received a call back saying the doctor has a 10 minute grace period. After telling the woman we arrived within the grace period and called to advise we were there...and came in, she said we still needed to check in at the front desk. We advised that we did the e-checkin online prior to arrival. She said "that's just to verify your info but you still need to check-in at the desk in the office within the grace period to be seen and Dr. Joi said she doesn't have time to see her we'd need to reschedule" (even though they did not let us in).My issue is, if we could just arrive and go in, the whole grace period timeline wouldn't be an issue. But to inconvenience patients that arrive, call to advise they've arrived (per office instructions), and they are told to come only to advise them they need to reschedule is extremely unprofessional. Unless something changed since the last time we were there (one month ago), the in-office check in is the same thing as the online check-in and the phone check-in... particularly since none of our info has changed. It seems we were given the run-around as an attempt to divert my daughter from being seen. My daughter has been dealing with this health challenge nearly two years and this is the second time she's been in crisis and hospitalized. To attempt to streamline care by following up with the primary doctor and be treated as we were is hurtful especially since we have a long history with the office and Dr. Joi. Honestly, there wasn't much of anything for the doctor to do that would've taken more than a few minutes of her time. We would've updated her about the hospital stay and asked for lab work which the doctor doesn't do herself. And during general office visits we usually spend less than 10 minutes with the doctor anyway.FYI - appointment was at 8:20am, we called at 8:28am and went inside to wait for someone to meet us at the door (as advised), received a call back at 8:31am telling us to reschedule.***There was no one in the waiting room of the office and the parking lot wasn't full of waiting patients*** Maybe it was too early to exercise compassion.
