“*THIS DETAILED REVIEW IS FOR ANY POTENTIAL PARENTS/EMPLOYEES*I was hired at The Sunshine House on 07/31/2023 as a Lead 3 year old teacher.I would like to start off by saying, if I could give this school 10 starts I would!The director, Ms. Kitchens, is a model director. I had the pleasure of experiencing her professionalism, intelligence, and warm spirit everyday. Ms. Kitchens is patient and she is kind. I appreciate her ability to run this entire school, take on any problems and take care of staff. Ms. Kitchens values education. She often checks in with teachers and gives ideas on educating children. Ms. Kitchens also makes sure her staff is giving the proper attention and care to each child. She is also attentive to her staff making sure we have everything we need to succeed. If it wasn’t for my personal issues affecting my schedule, I would still be a teacher at The Sunshine House.Ms. Kitchens’s assistant, Ms. Shelly, is also an extraordinary Leader. She has all the qualities needed to run a childcare facility. On every needed occasion, Ms. Shelly has been there to assist me with my class and any other task I had to complete. She is kind to children and staff plus very attentive to each individual’s needs.If you are a family in need of childcare, I highly recommend. Your children will receive the proper education, love, and care needed to develop. If you are a Teacher, I highly recommend. Not only will you be learning from your leaders, The Sunshine House provides opportunities to grow, it is a friendly and healthy environment, and the staff makes themselves available to help at all times.I LOVE LOVE LOVE THE SUNSHINE HOUSE!! ☀️✏️????️?️❤️????? ? ”

“My Son Saiyir Has Been Going This Day Care For Almost 2 Year I had the pleasure of enrolling my child in this daycare, and I couldn't be happier with the experience. From the moment we walked through the doors, it was evident that this daycare prioritizes the well-being and development of each child.The staff here is truly exceptional. They are not only highly trained and experienced but also genuinely caring and nurturing. It's clear that they love what they do and have a passion for working with children. They create a warm and welcoming atmosphere that immediately put my child at ease.The educational program is top-notch. My child has learned so much and developed important social skills during their time here. The curriculum is engaging and age-appropriate, and I've seen my child's creativity and confidence flourish.Safety is of paramount importance at this daycare. They have stringent security measures in place to ensure the safety of all children. I always felt confident leaving my child in their care.Additionally, the facility itself is well-maintained, clean, and filled with age-appropriate toys and learning materials. “My son is currently enrolled in this school for Pre-K and I have not seen him so excited to go to school the next day until starting here. His teacher Mrs.Kellie has been nothing but AMAZING. He talks about his whole day with a smile on his face the entire conversation. Also, The directors up front are always so welcoming!”

The Director is amazing she does everything she can for these kids and I love that and Ms Michelle teaches my 2 year old and she’s amazing! This daycare is great!”

“My 1 year old has been here since last December; and we absolutely love this place! The Director is amazing and she is a woman of God!My daughter is the type that doesn’t come to someone she doesn’t know; she doesn’t even crack a smile if she doesn’t know you; BUT she hugs the teachers here and she doesn’t want to leave when I pick her up.She runs back in to play with her teachers. She’s happy and she loves this place!She’s only 1 and I see the happiness on her face when she’s at school.I’m leaving this review because I want other potential parents to know that this academy is amazing!And the staff is even better! “I recommend this facility to anyone with young children! My experience here has been nothing short of amazing. The staff is very friendly and helpful when it comes to the needs of my 3 year old son. Jacie the manager is always there to answer any questions I may have and takes the time to help my son with any problems that may occur.”

“All 5 of my daughters ages range from 6wks- 10yrs have attended Applegate Academy. My 3 oldest attended until preK and has been Straight A students since they left. My Kindergartener who just started school is at the top of her class, scoring in 1st grade category. Applegate is not only a daycare they are Family! The owner Stands on Business! She keeps it professional and plays no games about the Childern and their education. Every morning she takes time out to read to a class. I have witnessed this daily. Ms.Loretta is the nurturer of the facility. The teachers are Awesome!!! Applegate has never let me down. Did I mention I drive from MLK EVERY MORNING TO DROP MY BABIES OFF!! I pass a thousand other daycares but I know they are safe at Applegate while I’m working!!HIGHLY RECOMMENDED DAYCARE”
